This is an important aspect of the dining experience as it contributes to a positive atmosphere and ensures that customers feel well taken care of.
The affordability of the food is also mentioned as a strength. The comment states that the breakfast costs £10 per person, which is considered decent value for money. This suggests that Cafe Veneto offers competitive pricing in comparison to other alternatives in the area.

Simple Italian restaurant with a large menu and all day breakfast available. I ordered the special lasagne which was $7.95 and came with garlic bread and a hot or cold drink. Good portion size and freshly cooked. Garlic bread was interesting - not my type of garlic bread but nice to have a side as part of the main. Restaurant decor is a bit run down but a homey feel regardless.
A decent breakfast for £10 per person including some extras. The quality isn't as high as alternatives like Pinto Lounge but neither is the price. The staff were friendly and attentive.
We were looking for a dog friendly place for lunch and came across Cafe Vento. Very friendly staff. Had the lasagna which was excellent. Followed by coffee and cake also excellent.
Great value very friendly. Definitely recommended and we’ll be back too.
Honest review (sorry)
Atmosphere - this place is lovely, on the high street but it's like stepping into a cozy barn conversion in the Italian mountains or something. Some tasteful decoration and articles on the walls.
Service - the service is quick and friendly from a front of house perspective. However we ordered one dish and it seemed to just get forgotten. We watched other tables order and get their food faster. And them tables were much bigger orders.
Food - we ordered bruschetta with mixed veg on it. It is served with a salad and a small number of crisps. I would say the bread was just a panini which had been baked with the topping on so it had absorbed the juice of the veg (bit soggy). But the flavours were very good with a really rich and fruity tomato coming through well. The salad was basic and the crisps were a poor addition in my opinion. I saw other food coming out and it looked good but not 'amazing'
Price - for what we had I would say £5.50 was fair but not great value. I wouldn't say its not worth it but I equally wouldn't say I felt like it was a good use of the money.
Overall this place is solid, it delivers a good product with good service in a good atmosphere... just nothing spectacular in my opinion.
I would return and I would try other things but I think only after I have been to several alternative places in Banbury first, hopefully next time there is that special something which I think I may have missed today.
Amazing good really quick service but high quality food.
It’s also dog friendly so we were able to eat in with the dogs and they got a water bowl too
Lovely looking place, decent prices and a great coffee, however the waitress couldn’t stop yawning whilst taking my order and was on her phone when I tried to get her attention. Ordered the niçoise, looked horrendous, was supposed to be new potatoes I got two stale spuds, the egg yolks were turning black. I didn’t eat it it was inedible, when I told the waitress she said nothing to do with me a shouted Boss! ‘Boss’ was visibly angry and intimidating, he stared at me until I left with my two young children. Hopefully it’s just the salads that were below par, but won’t be going back to find out!
Awful service. Owner was rude and unprofessional. Went there for a coffee with a friend after visiting g Greg’s for some other items. Was told to put the Greg’s bag on the floor!!! ????. Started blabbing on about another customer who ate from Greg’s and left rubbish on the floor afterwards. ????. Told him what I thought of his ignorant attitude and left never to return. I only went there because Jenny’s is closed for refurbishment the service is far better there and always has been. I’d recommend to keep walking and find a friendlier cafe…
Amazing coffee, super smooth and tasty.
Food was just as good, we had a full english and sausage + egg bap. Everything was great tasting.
Highly recommend for a little weekend breakfast treat.
