Quick Facts About Celebrity Cuts

Strengths:
1. Skilled Barbers: Multiple comments mention the barbers at Celebrity Cuts being highly skilled and providing excellent cuts and styles. This indicates that the barbers are experienced and trained professionals, which is a strength for the shop.
2. Positive Atmosphere: Many comments mention the positive atmosphere and environment at Celebrity Cuts. The shop is described as feeling like home or a time machine, and the artwork and diversity add to the overall experience. This creates a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for customers, which is a strength for the shop.
3. Location: Celebrity Cuts is located in the historic district of downtown Memphis, which is mentioned as an advantage in one comment. Being in this location gives the shop easy access to customers and potential foot traffic, especially since it can be reached by trolley from the downtown bus station. This location is a strength for the shop in terms of visibility and convenience for customers.
4. Professionalism: Although there is one comment mentioning poor customer service, the majority of comments indicate that the shop provides professional and quality service. The barbers are praised for their professionalism and taking care of their guests, which is a strength for the shop.
5. Successful African American Representation: One comment mentions that Celebrity Cuts is a place where you can be around successful African American men. This suggests that the shop may have a positive impact on the African American community, providing representation and creating a space for success. This can be seen as a strength for the shop in terms of its social impact.
Weaknesses:
1. Unprofessional Comment: One comment mentions a negative experience with a braider at Celebrity Cuts. The braider was described as unprofessional, refusing to finish the braids properly and responding rudely to the customer's concerns. This indicates a weakness in the shop's ability to consistently provide professional and satisfactory service, as this particular incident reflects poorly on the shop.
2. Lack of Greeting and Poor Customer Service: One comment mentions that upon walking into the shop, no one greeted the customer and the barbers were engaged in conversation. This led the customer to leave due to poor customer service. This indicates a weakness in the shop's ability to prioritize customer experience and provide excellent service.
3. Additional Charges for Rushed Service: One comment mentions that those in a hurry are subject to additional charges for VIP service. While it is understandable that rushed service might require extra fees, this comment indicates that the shop may not prioritize efficiently serving all customers and instead places emphasis on those willing to pay more. This can be seen as a weakness in providing equal and fair treatment to all customers.
Overall, Celebrity Cuts has strengths in terms of skilled barbers, positive atmosphere, convenient location, professionalism, and representation. However, there are weaknesses in inconsistent professionalism, poor customer service, and potential prioritization of paying customers.

My brother in law is my barber Donald Lockett best in the City keeps me chop !
Pretty unprofessional. "Braider" Kimberly Cross braided my hair 5 days ago and when advised that my hair was looking a little ragged because she chose not to finish the braids by trimming the hair that pops outside of the braids she told me she would refund me $25 for me to do it myself and the following:
"I get paid to braid and braid only. Anything additional is an additional charge. I don't put jewelry on nor do I trim braids. So you're doing what you want. You need to blame your mama for the texture of your hair and maker of the hair you purchased."
This is a hidden gem in the City of Memphis and it is loacted in the Arts District. When I walked in I felt like I was at home, in a Memphis Hip-Hop time machine and the artwork is nice. I definitely reccomend any this shop to all of the young professionsls that need a nice cut before work or and after. This is also a salon too so ladies can come and enjoy themselves also. last you can take the trolly here from the downtown bus station. Thank you Mr. Chris for putting this together

What it do social world? I'm Drew Johnson (aka) Chopmaster Himself. I'm also the self proclaimed #HottestBarberIndaCity. Do to the constant changes and new trends of our industry including my solid background & foundation of naturally wanting to educate. I've been honored & elevated once again by the youth of our city!!! In which I've help to motivate myself. That they would even consider labeling me with yet another title #SauceGod.
Christyles Celebrity Cuts located in the historic district of downtown Memphis TN, is where I started my professional career of barbering. I chose this location for one specific reason, rather than staying in Whitehaven (BHZ) my own neighborhood where I chopped all around the Haven and highly recoledgeable for chopping on Millbranch @ (grannyhouse) as far as the hood concerns. That reason was to become a Barber of the Memphis of city rather than being a Barber in a neighborhood. I just felt it would be the same. So once I got my license I knew I would seriously not to look back. I was too comfortable in the Haven. For example in the sport of basketball. A highschool basketball player from Memphis . Then plays at Memphis university, months later gets drafted by Memphis Grizzlies.(some dream huh? Lol) At some point may consider a change of scenery because we all get comfortable at times.
Comforts the word we all need to get familiar with. I don't mean comfort as in my clothes or furniture etc. I'm referring to being in a state of physical and mental ease. Its literally our humane subconscious way of telling ourselves it's not only time to move on but time to also add on.
I've been working at Christyles going on 4 years. The shop originated in North Memphis sum 10 odd years ago. I am still what my (NorthMemphis friends) would consider a newcomer. I'm 28 now married and two more boys to go alone with my 1st born son. In other words I've grown a lot physically, emotionally, and mentally in this game of barbering.
I'm entitled to subject my professional opinion on this Barber Shop cause I've dam near live in here like a second address lol and I have seen it grow at a rapid speed. Especially considering that it's fairly a new business in historic downtown Memphis. Being located on these growns demands consistency at all levels of the barbering game.
New art gallery with local and national art. Crystal who's a very talented artist who also does makeup. We're now more diverse with the addition of TitoChopa the Hispanic prodigy and platform artist. HardfaceNelson who is a celebrity hisself who just addicted to cutting hair I believe. Last but not least ChrisMartin someone who personality fits this positive atmosphere to the T.
Come in and join the experience cause it's really more than a haircut. Our prices fits the patience of our client. Those in a hurry should consider additional charges.(V.I.P) But for those who are really apart of the experience knows what to look for. That's enjoyment in a positive in environment where we set a great examples for the future Memphis.

I love this place. Good environment, best barbers in the city, and a place where you can be around successful African American men.
I walked in the shop, no one greeted me, I sat there patiently. Barbers were engaged in conversation, I walked out. Poor customer service.
