I’m vegan again! My body just better appreciates the food choices. That said, it’s hard out here for a V. My area has absolutely NO vegan restaurants, and I have to drive 35-40 minutes for one. The drive here definitely proved worthwhile. Upon entering, I explained that it was my first time and was welcomed and thanked with a smile. I ordered two 3-item plates just to try a few dishes. On one, I had BBQ tofu, kale, and rice and peas. Everything was delicious, and I love saucy “meat.” On the other plate I had cabbage, curry tofu and pumpkin. Loved the flavors for the most part, but the pumpkin would have to grow on me. I guess I’m more accustomed to the flavor of sweet potato. The servings are HUGE, and I ate leftovers for two days, which were still delicious after it was reheated. Thanks for accommodating my dietary needs and making this journey a little easier. Will definitely return.
The most delicious vegan/vegetarian food in all of Atlanta's metropolitan area- period! Sometimes they have drumsticks on the buffer, if not, you can order them. They're my children's favorite and a rare treat. Their vegan cakes are so moist and rich, without being too sweet. I've been going to this restaurant for 16 years, since moving to Atlanta, and they have never let me down. Not fancy at all, so if you dine in you have to be prepared for their bathroom NOT being guest ready and dining room may be in disarray. Food- fantastic! And service is nice.
Came here today after another restaurant was to busy and it was the best decision ever. This spot gives a vegetarian take on your favorite Caribbean dishes and as someone who eats Jamaican food at least once a week, having a healthy alternative option is AMAZING!
I had the soy curry chicken with rice and peas and cabbage and everything was seasoned to perfection.
Can’t wait to come back and try the bbq tofu!
Great vegan spot in Decatur! There’s not many options out here so when I found this I was so happy. Mac and cheese was so flavorful, mushrooms and sweet n sour chicken too. We also got raisin pound cake and guava turnover. 10/10 I’ll be going back for their natural juices
Chelsea’s never ever fails! They are going to make sure to take care of you EVERY TIME! Any time I’m on this side of town, I make sure to make a stop here. It’s vegan galore for Caribbean people. There are always so many options so I try to order something different every time and I still haven’t tried everything that they have to offer. Highly recommended! The portion sizes are hearty and they have everything from pastries (like rum cake ????), smoothies, to provisions. I’ll be back soon to try something else. Prices are the best in town for vegan food too.
I came by this place today looking for vegan food for dinner. I came around 7 pm on Saturday night and unfortunately I was not too impressed. The guy behind the counter gives you food from a buffet style team table. The food was cold. The taste of the food was good it just does not seem like their is a big emphasis on selling customers freshly made hot food. The customer service is lacking the guy behind the counter did not seem interested in servicing customers. The environment is just another hole in the wall take out joint nothing special. The best thing I had there was their German chocolate cake and lentil turnover everything else was just average. If you are just in the neighborhood this place might be worth visiting. However I came from Duluth and it was a waste of time, money and gas traveling to this place.
Everything the order was really great. We ordered one large platter and one small platter for my daughter. I wish there were more options that were strictly vegan as well as more natural beverage options but the flavor and taste of the food was delicious and we will definitely be back next time. We are in Atlanta.
Although I have loved in the aread for over 30 yrs I have never thought to try it. But last week a friend recommended. I stopped by and wasn't greeted. I waited and then finally asked for some assistance. But by then, I was over it. So today I stop by. Once I walked in I was greeted and catered to. The service was great, the food is good and I will be back
