Weaknesses of Claudine's African Hair Braiding Place:
1. Inconsistent pricing: One customer complained that they were told one price over the phone but charged a higher price upon arrival. Inconsistent pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a lack of trust in the salon.
2. Lack of professionalism: Several comments mentioned the lack of professionalism at the salon, including unlicensed stylists, unprofessional behavior such as eating while working on a customer's hair, and poor customer service skills.
3. Long wait times and appointments: Multiple comments mentioned long wait times even with appointments and unavailability of the stylist at the agreed-upon time. This can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction among customers.
4. Failure to deliver requested hairstyles: One customer mentioned that the stylist did not follow their instructions and did the opposite of what was requested. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
5. Poor communication: One customer mentioned that there was a lack of communication regarding appointment times and the stylist's availability. Lack of communication can lead to misunderstandings and customer frustration.
6. Unprofessional behavior towards customers: Comments mentioned the stylists making the customers feel uncomfortable, discriminated against, and unappreciated. This kind of behavior can damage the salon's reputation and deter potential customers.
7. Expensive prices: One comment mentioned that the salon had high prices. While quality work may justify higher prices, it is important for the salon to ensure that the quality of service matches the price.
Overall, while Claudine's African Hair Braiding Place may have some strengths such as prompt response and skilled stylists, it appears to have significant weaknesses in terms of inconsistent pricing, unprofessional behavior, poor communication, and long wait times. These weaknesses can undermine the salon's reputation and customer satisfaction. Improvement in these areas is necessary for the salon to be successful and attract more customers.

I wear the manager and that place is horrible. The customers are told one price on the phone but when they get there they're told something higher. It's no respect for the customers. This is not a business. This is a hangout spot. They sell things like shea butter is not from Ghana is made in their kitchen. They do perms, relaxers, colors, and don't even have a license. I'm so grateful I don't work there anymore. I'm trying to get my money back that she owes me right now. And a lot of you all should try to get your money back, especially that lady that fell out of the chair.. They will lie They made me look like I was a homeless person that she found on her front porch sleep. I never worked there. I was never a manager. I just took over her place when she was never there. Having a braiding class that doesn't even have a license and taking people $1,000 for a class she came and ran because she's not there and not giving the people back their money. This place is a joke and everything in it. They're not professional at all. They have no integrity, no dignity. They don't take no course of action for the things they do. My suggestion for anyone posted on the wall the license with Governor Desantis not Rick Scott . Any type of paperwork dealing with the proper license for any service from eyelashes, pedicures, manicures, chemicals, colors, micro braiding, massages, facial products, hair products that's made the burning of the hair, the hot water that has burned people numerous times. Please look out for these things. The ladies can start on your hair and they have to go get something to eat and stop. Come back, sit there and eat and you're still waiting until they're done. Leave to pick up children from school or take people to work . Appointment times I've seen and witnessed customers be at 8:00 in the morning. You won't get out sometime till 10:00 at night on one head and being charged $300. When you pay at the counter with the square machine I've seen customers being charged 10 to $20 just for using the machine. It's crazy. It is wrong and unethical to take from people money and take advantage of them. I'm going to speak on what I know and what I have seen by working there. They are very unprofessional and very arrogant. Very nasty.
I looked this place up on google and though it didn't have many reviews they called me back right away (I called a few others shops too). I met with the beautiful Veronica and she asked what style I wanted. She was very kind and even for it being the 'ugly beginning stage' my hair looks awesome. I will be back in 2 weeks for a re twist. Very professional environment, I would recommend this place to everyone.
I have been to this salon on multiple occasions. Every time I have gotten the same exact service and went as a walk in. The lady that normally takes care of me (her name is Veronica Banks on Cashapp) has always done a great job and treated me respectfully. Today is my birthday and I went to the salon to get my usual 2 french braids with added hair. I arrived at the salon around 5:40 and when I walk in there were 2 stylists and 1 assistant. They were working on 2 customers. They greeted me and asked me what I needed. I told them that I always go there and I only need 2 french braids.
They both looked at me like I was a creature from another planet. I am puerto rican and I have an afro. I really felt discriminated against and like I was out of place by being there. They told me I needed to wait and I said that was fine. They asked me 3 times if my hair was washed and blow dryed and I answered yes each time. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes, one of the ladies started doing my hair.
She started parting my hair with a comb and asked me if the part was OK. Not my job to know if the part is OK because Im not the stylist. She then proceeds to comb through my afro with a comb. That didn't work and I asked her to use a different brush. She didn't seem to understand the texture of my hair and why a different brush was important for her to use.
She did the braid on the left side about half way down and she asked me to look at it in the mirror. The braid was sloppy, messy and had hairs sticking out. I was pretty upset at this point and I told her and the other lady that they were not treating me right. They told me that they didn't need to see me because I didn't have an appt. Well, why wasn't I told that from the beginning. If it is such a bother that a paying customer walked in without an appt, just say that upfront and be honest with people. I ended up leaving without my hair done.
Ladies, you both made me feel very uncomfortable and unappreciated. I will not be returning to your salon. For the future, you need to improve your customer service skills and communication with the customer.
And saying "God bless you" as I was walking out does not fix what you did. I really hope you can reflect on what happened today and make it right the next time.
Thank you!
Sisterlocs loc tighten. Great service, very friendly people & the price is right
My daughter’s hair came out beautifully. I was impressed by the teamwork. It seemed to minimize the fatigue and monotony for both the stylists and my daughter. I had a good experience and my child’s hair came out beautifully.
I made an apt to get my hair braided and it was for 9 am. At 8:55 this morning , I called the lady and told her I was five mins away. She tells me she won't be there till 9:10. So I'm like umm okay. I get there and then at 9:10 she's not there! I call her at 9:13 and she says "yes I told you I'm coming. I'll be there soon. " I waited till 9:30 and she never showed up!!!! I'm a new client and wanted a hair braider that I could come to every three months but she's not it! She was so unprofessional and never called me back to apologize or anything! I'm beyond angry!!!
Please read all for your sake: VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and wasn't in the chair until an hour and ten minutes later. At first I was like "they are backed up it happens" so I didn't mind but now I realize why they are backed up. I finally get in the chair and right before, I show a very clear picture of what I want and how I want it. She says she could do it and because I'm in a salon I believe it because I assume she has to be licensed and somewhat good. Wrong. I get in the chair and this lady does the opposite of what I asked for, on top of that randomly stops to eat without saying anything to me. Constantly stopping to change the channel and stops doing my hair to do someone else's that already had a stylist doing her hair. Didn't leave until 4 and a half hours later and my hairstyle request only takes about one hour and a half if that. To add icing on the cake there was a lady there before me and wanted her hair done because she was suppose to go see her aunt who was on life support miles away and they completely forgot about this lady for hours and then was like "oh I'm sorry" she was still there when I left so if you have any place to go don't go to this salon. I was so disappointed especially because their prices are so high. Usually if the price is high the quality is good. Not in this salons case. Take my advice and don't waste your time. Not good business.
The ladies in there do an absolutely amazing job with Dreadlocks, they really go above and beyond to make sure your happy and satisfied! Yes its high-priced but the quality of work in my opinion is worth it!
