One of the strengths of Cockney's of Croydon is its authenticity in serving traditional Cockney comfort food. The menu includes pie and mash, a staple of East London cuisine, along with jellied eels. This gives customers a chance to try a true taste of the Cockney culture without having to venture to East London. The fact that they also serve the dish with liquor, a green coloured parsley sauce, adds to its authenticity.
The style and ambiance of Cockney's of Croydon is also a strength. The use of church benches and flags in the interior design creates a charming and nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of old-school pie and mash shops. The re-labelled Jack Daniel whisky bottles containing vinegar add to the quirky appeal of the place. This attention to detail in the decor enhances the overall experience for customers.
The quality of the food served at Cockney's of Croydon is highly praised by customers. The comments mention that the pie was crispy with minced beef in the middle, and it was complimented nicely by the liquor. Adding vinegar to the pie and mash made it moreish and delicious.
