Quick Facts About Crowhill Chippy

Crowhill Chippy, based on the comments provided, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentions that they enjoyed every bit of their meal, despite being a fussy eater. This suggests that the food at Crowhill Chippy is generally of good quality and has a wide appeal. Another strength mentioned by multiple commenters is the friendly staff and great service. This is an important aspect of any restaurant as it contributes to a positive dining experience. Additionally, the quick service for large orders is appreciated by one customer, demonstrating efficient operations.
The large portion of chips received by one customer seems to be a weakness of Crowhill Chippy. The customer felt that the portion size was inadequate and compared it to a medium portion at another chip shop, suggesting that Crowhill Chippy falls short in this aspect. Another weakness highlighted by one commenter is the prioritization of phone orders over walk-in customers. This can leave walk-in customers feeling disregarded and undervalued, leading to dissatisfaction.
The quality and authenticity of the Chinese cuisine at Crowhill Chippy is another area of weakness. One customer mentions that the spare ribs were dry and tough, while the chicken was occasionally undercooked for their liking. This inconsistency in the quality of Chinese dishes can disappoint customers who are specifically seeking authentic Chinese cuisine.
On the other hand, the English food at Crowhill Chippy is enjoyed by one commenter, who specifically mentions enjoying the pie, chips, and gravy. This suggests that Crowhill Chippy excels in preparing traditional English dishes. However, another commenter who tried the salt and pepper chicken was disappointed, describing it as dry and lacking crispiness. This inconsistency in the quality of specific dishes is another weakness that Crowhill Chippy needs to address.
Lastly, there is one comment mentioning the cleanliness of the public area, which is a strength for Crowhill Chippy. A clean and well-maintained dining area is important for customers as it contributes to their overall dining experience and perception of the establishment.
In conclusion, Crowhill Chippy has strengths in its food quality, friendly staff, great service, and cleanliness. However, weaknesses lie in the portion sizes, prioritization of phone orders, inconsistencies in the quality of Chinese dishes, and inconsistencies in specific English dishes. These weaknesses can lead to dissatisfaction among customers and potentially impact their decision to return.

My fella orders from here often with his dad. For me it's first time. I'm usually super fussy and really enjoyed every bit. We ordered Char sui fried rice, beef curry, OK sauce and a small portion of chips. I will be eating from here again. Staff are friendly and provided us with complimentary potato scallops.
Ordered a LARGE portion of chips and this is what we got. I actually checked before leaving "That's a large chips right?".
Loaded the chips onto two plates (which still weren't full) and had a third person to feed who ended up going without.
A medium portion from our usual chippy is bigger than this! Absolute ripoff, will not be returning.
Friendly staff and great service, the Fish, Chips and Curry is fantastic. Always a shed load of Chips, the fish is slightly smaller than a few months ago but still a decent size.
Lovely, friendly staff. Clean public area, enjoyable English food. I love their chips! Gravy can be a bit hit & miss - sometimes it's a little too thick but others - mmm divine!
As for Chinese food, I'm sorry guys as much as I love this chippy, I'm not a big lover of their authentic cuisine. To me spare ribs have been a bit too dry, meat has been tough, and occasionally Chicken had been slightly undercooked for MY liking.
Other than that, it's still my fave go to takeaway for good ole pie chips n gravy ????
Terrible Chip shop, not the 1st time we have sat for 40 mins plus, but to be told phone orders have priority over walk in customers is shocking never going again
Very quick for such a large order. Did the fish fresh which was nice to see. Chips were a bit of a let down though.
Nice , meat pie chips gravy, first time there , not had any Chinese food
I Ordered Salt and pepper chicken and I got dry chicken breast that wasn't even crispy. It looked like it was bought already cooked from Asda and warmed up, never eating here again.
