Some customers mentioned specific issues with the food itself. One customer found the hashbrowns to be horrible tasting and the sausages to be flavorless and small. Another customer found the vegetables in the healthy option not to be boiled enough.

In terms of recommendations, several customers stated that improvements are needed, such as hiring a new chef and maintaining consistency in the food. One customer explicitly stated that they would not recommend the place to others.
In conclusion, De Cafe Lounge has some positive aspects, such as the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the premises. The friendly staff and unique menu options were also praised. Best TL Reviews

I am always on the hunt for a high quality halal breakfast place. Just so fed up of over priced, sub standard menus that just don't hit the spot. Until I found De Cafe Lounge on Barking Road. It is near the old West Ham Football Ground and walking distance from Upton Park Station. Plenty of parking nearby, free and paid.
You are welcomed by friendly staff, a nice clean premises, large tv screen and lots of breakfast options. You can get lamb donner in your breakfast plate, yes you read it correctly, LAMB DONNER. It is sooo tasty, you will love this place.
The tea seemed to have a sprinkle of safron on it, it tasted so nice, I orders another one. I never have two couples of tea back to back. The owner Imran is a lovely chap, knows his food and understands customer service.
While I am writting this post, I have decided I am going to go there for breakfast NOW!

Food wasn't too bad apart from the chips were cold. In all honesty prices are too expensive and staff are a tad grumpy. £10 for a full English way too much to be honest.
I’ve been going to De Cafe for the better part of a year now and for Sunday breakfast and I can say this place is actually very nice. The selection of items are great and their coffee as always is smooth and tasty. Do make sure that you get the Donner breakfast you won’t be disappointed.
I ordered food through UberEats, the hashbrown taste horrible and I ordered these for my children , it was a good thick size BUT the taste wasn't great ????????, I also ordered sausages but they were so small compare to other cafes ( was given in the small salad tin container) again it didn't have any flavour to it, my kids took 1 bite and chucked it out ! ???????????????? I ordered chips too but obviously you can't go wrong with chips so that's the only thing they got right ????
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, need to hire a new chef maybe, needs a lot of improvements!
The place is a hit or miss. Certain days the food tastes amazing and some days you order something you get something else. Recently I ordered a karak chai and it didn't even taste like normal tea let alone karak chai. Prices are quite reasonable but they need to maintain consistency in their food.
Decent food. Seems clean but the portion size is very small compared to the size of the container it’s given in, very deceiving, your better off doing it yourself
I went to this place for a quick lunch recently, they have a great menu, the place is clean and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. They also do a great halal breakfast and cater for vegetarians.
They have one of the best cereal collections available for your breakfast.
I had a mixed Lamb and Chicken diner with saucy chips and to drink a Bubblegum Mojito. Which both tasted great, I would be definitely be coming back here to eat again. This place is HMC certified.
We went there for breakfast, food is not worthy as much as the price, the vegetables in healthy option are not even boiled enough.. The coffee for 2,70£ seriously! They Don't even have the Sugar on the table and they ask how much sugar you want and they put it on the coffe when they make it????
The service is very bad, waiter seems angry to serve and he treated as like we went there for free food!
I don’t reccomend at all!
