Strengths:
1. Great customer service: The Dominican Barber Shop is praised for its great service and caring personnel. Customers mentioned that they were taken care of and had a positive experience.
2. Skilled barbers: Customers appreciate the skills of the barbers at this shop. They mention that the barbers can cut any texture of hair, unlike many other barbers. This expertise is highly valued by customers and is seen as a strength of the shop.
3. Clean environment: The shop is described as clean, which is important for customers when choosing a barbershop. This cleanliness adds to the overall positive experience and helps attract customers.
4. Reasonable prices: While some customers mention that the prices are on the higher side for the community, others state that the prices are not bad. This indicates that the prices are generally reasonable and competitive, which can be seen as a strength.
5. Use of razors: Customers appreciate that the barbers at this shop still use razors. This traditional method is preferred by some customers over other modern techniques, and it adds to the appeal of the shop.
6. Equal treatment of customers: Customers mention that the barbers at this shop treat all customers equally and fairly. They don't tolerate skipping customers, even if they have known them for a long time. This fairness and equality contribute to the positive reputation of the shop.
Weaknesses:
1. Communication issues with Manuel: Some customers mention difficulties in getting a cut by a specific barber named Manuel. They state that he is difficult to reach and doesn't respond to texts or calls promptly. This lack of communication can be seen as a weakness, as it may inconvenience customers and damage customer loyalty.
2. Language barrier: Customers mention that all the barbers at the shop primarily speak Spanish in an increasingly diverse community. While it's not explicitly mentioned as a weakness, it can be seen as limiting potential customers who may prefer to communicate in English.
3. Limited availability: Some customers mention that it can be difficult to get an appointment or be seen by a specific barber. They mention long wait times and have even waited several hours before being addressed. This lack of availability and scheduling system can be seen as a weakness, as it may deter potential customers and lead to frustration among existing ones.
4. Preferential treatment: A few customers mention that the barbers give preferential treatment to customers they know. They mention feeling skipped or overlooked because they are not familiar to the barbers. This preferential treatment can be seen as a weakness, as it may create an unfair and unequal experience for customers.
In conclusion, the strengths of the Dominican Barber Shop include great customer service, skilled barbers, a clean environment, reasonable prices, the use of razors, and equal treatment of customers. However, the weaknesses include communication issues with a specific barber, a language barrier, limited availability and scheduling, and preferential treatment. Addressing these weaknesses could help the shop improve and attract a wider range of customers.

Dominica beauty parlor Great service and caring personnel call for apt. Ybe took care of my 4-year-old daughter she was great. Barber shop is also Great my son has been going there since he was 8.
The place is clean, the prices are approaching the high side for this community. You can go to any free barber; barbers still use the razor, I like this. The barbers must allow patrons continued protocols (e.g. to keep mask on) for the COVID virus. All the barbers first language is Spanish in an increasingly diverse community from primarily Caribbean; try more english. There is a TV for patrons however there should be local news (NY 1) or seasonal national sports (baseball, football, soccer) on display.
My barbers for 2 decades. Barbers who can cut any texture of hair, unlike many other barbers.
If you are able to get a cut by Manuel he will get you right, good luck getting a hold of him though. I used to walk in and he would tell me to call or text before hand. I would text and call him for days and he would not answer. When he answered he said he would text me back with availability over the next coming days and he never did. I showed up again in person and he had nothing available. The other barber I got cut by there is not good. They should figure out a better scheduling system because it feels like they are stuck in the 1960s.I have waited in person there several hours before Manuel even addressed me when he knew I was waiting to get cut by him. I
Not the kinda place you can just walk in for the first time and get seen. I walked in first and was skipped twice cuz dudes walked in and gave daps to the barbers. So you preferential treatment if you know them which is pretty standard for most shops
Any barber in this shop is skilled enough to properly cut, trim and style hair. Been a customer for over 20+ yrs. Trust me, I know ????????????
