Starting with the strengths, one customer mentions that the lunch deal, which includes 2 tapas and a drink for £8, is a good value. This shows that the restaurant offers affordable options for customers looking for a quick and satisfying meal. Additionally, the comment about the "pleasant tapas restaurant" suggests that the ambience of the place is enjoyable and comfortable for dining.
Furthermore, the comments highlight some positive aspects of the food. The reviewer mentions that some dishes like the lamb cutlets and aubergine were great. This indicates that there are standout dishes on the menu that customers can enjoy. The mention of the patatas alioli being the best dish also shows that the restaurant excels in certain dishes, providing quality options for customers.
Another strength mentioned is the fact that the staff, from the chef to the front of house, are all Spanish. The mention of the staff being friendly and welcoming also adds to the positive experience of dining at the restaurant.
On the other hand, there are also weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. Firstly, the comment about the overall food being on the bland side and needing more seasoning suggests that the flavors may be lacking in some of the dishes. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of the food, with some dishes being great but others falling short.
Additionally, the comment about the meal without wine costing over £60 suggests that the restaurant may be on the expensive side. This could be seen as a weakness for customers looking for more affordable options. The mention of the crème brulee being overpowering due to the saffron also indicates that there may be issues with the execution of certain dishes.
Furthermore, the comment about the atmosphere being "worst atmosphere from my entire life" on New Year's Eve highlights a negative experience. This suggests that the restaurant may not have been able to provide a satisfactory atmosphere for a special occasion, which can be seen as a weakness.
In conclusion, El Patio Tapas Bar & Restaurant has strengths such as a good value lunch deal, standout dishes, authentic Spanish staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, there are weaknesses such as inconsistent flavors, higher prices, issues with certain dishes, and negative experiences on special occasions. By addressing these weaknesses, the restaurant can further improve and provide a more consistent and satisfying dining experience for customers.

Best TL Reviews

This place is located in Epsom square and the lunch deal which comes with 2 tapas and a drink for 8£ is pretty good.
Few dishes like the lamb cutlets and aubergine were great others like whitebait not that great overall food was a bit on the bland side could need more seasoning but will visit again to try out more dishes from the extensive menu.
Pleasant tapas restaurant in the heart of Epsom.
The dishes are nice, good for a local town but not extraordinary or exemplary of the finest Spanish cooking.
A meal without wine on an early evening was over £60, which was expensive for the standard.
The garlic chicken thigh with fries was basic. The patatas alioli was the best dish we had. The salad was nice but basic. The chicken with rice dish was nice but again didn't have anything special, boiled rice.
The crème brulee was not your standard, the saffron had turned the dish very yellow and was overpowering.
Overall nice place with Spanish style interiors but overpriced average.
A piece of Spain in the middle of Epsom! The staff at this restaurant from the chef to the front of house are all Spanish and it shows from the cooking through to the hospitality. The portions are generous, the flavours are deep and rich. We particularly enjoyed the Baccalao (Cod) cooked in a tomato and onion sauce, and the Piri Piri Cod. We stumbled upon this place on the way back to London when hunger got the better of us, and boy were we glad to come in here. We’ll be back here soon with our friends in tow!
The food is good, atmosfere ok. But They are lier! Never ever make new year eve in there. Absolutely worst atmosphere from my entire life
Really lovely fun restaurant..made to feel welcome..bright clean and tiled interior. Waiters were all jolly and attentive. Food was lovely although I would order various small dishes next time rather than have a chicken kebab and chips as this was a bit plain on it's own. Lovely cocktails.Had a holiday feel to the place.
Been here a few times and it is great the atmosphere the food the service the lot they have it all! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and you do not want for anything when you are in there! Food is reasonably priced as are the drinks. Would definitely recommend
Nice and relaxed atmosphere, Mario who I believe is the owner, welcomed us and nothing was too much, we hadn't booked, and sat at the bar and ate, just like tapas is supposed to be. Great quality food at a sensible price. Good continental beer and lager, plus great service.
Great Spanish tapas restaurant. Highly recommend!
