Quick Facts About First Nails & Spa
First Nails & Spa place, based on the comments provided, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses that need to be explored further.
One strength of First Nails & Spa place is the quality and expertise of the technicians. One customer mentioned that they have been going to this salon for 14 years and have always been treated like a VIP. They appreciate the technicians' attention to detail and ability to bring their desired nail designs to life. Another customer specifically mentioned John, who has been doing their nails for five years and consistently provides a great experience. This indicates that the salon has experienced and skilled nail artists who consistently deliver satisfactory results.
Additionally, the cost and value of the services seem to be fair according to one customer. They believe that the pricing is justified for the level of skill and effort put in by the nail artists, who work long hours, seven days a week. This suggests that First Nails & Spa offers competitive pricing for quality services.
Customer service is another area that First Nails & Spa appears to excel in. The customer who always feels welcomed and appreciated when visiting the salon emphasizes this. They value the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, which contributes to their overall positive experience.
However, there are also several weaknesses that have been mentioned by customers. One recurring issue is the lack of communication and professionalism displayed by some technicians. One customer mentioned an experience where their usual technician ignored them and did not even greet them when they arrived for their appointment. This lack of basic courtesy and professionalism can leave customers feeling unimportant and unappreciated.
Another weakness highlighted by customers is the inconsistency in the quality of service and the finished results. Some customers mentioned that they had provided a specific design or style they wanted, only to be disappointed with the outcome. The technicians claimed they could deliver the desired design but failed to fulfill it, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. This inconsistency raises concerns about the level of expertise and attention to detail exhibited by some technicians at First Nails & Spa.
Furthermore, the issue of overcharging and unnecessary charges was brought up by a customer. They mentioned instances where they were charged for services that were not provided, such as cleaning nails, clipping cuticles, and applying lotion. This indicates a lack of transparency regarding pricing and a possible attempt to maximize profits by adding unnecessary charges.
Another customer complained about the painful experience they had during a nail removal process. This suggests that the salon may not prioritize the comfort and well-being of their customers, which is an essential aspect of providing a high-quality service.
Lastly, some customers mentioned the lack of flexibility in payment options. The inability to tip using a credit card can be inconvenient for customers who do not carry cash or prefer to use electronic payment methods. This limitation can deter customers from giving tips, which are essential for many service industry workers to supplement their income.
In conclusion, First Nails & Spa place has strengths in terms of quality, customer service, and competitive pricing. However, weaknesses in communication, professionalism, consistency, transparency, and comfort during services need to be addressed to improve the overall customer experience.

Gel pedicure…well that’s what I was told. 2 hours with no shoes then flip flops and this is what $47 (not including tip) will get you. Not to mention I was then argued with over what I said I wanted for my nails. The woman tried to make me leave over 2 hours before closing saying no one was available. There was at least 3 techs doing nothing. Finally a tech spoke up and said he had time. Mind you I usually go after work and I’m dressed up. Not today, jeans and a sweatshirt. They also turned away at least 4 people then took others who were all commenting how “dead it is” and how surprised they were. After rolling my sleeves up exposing my jewelry and giving the tech a nice tip, all of the sudden she’s literally bowing to me. My take away, if you want a terrible experience, have 3 hours to waste (not to mention money to waste), schedule an appointment. They’ll see you if they think you’re worth it.
I have been to nail salons throughout the country and for the past 14 years of my life, First Nail Spa has been the only choice. Every single time I go there, I’m treated like a vip, and the experience is sheer perfection. If you are someone who appreciates and values quality, this is the salon for you. The possibilities are endless. Show them exactly what you want in a photo and watch your perfect nail experience come to life. As far as pedicures go, this is the best pedicure in the area. A gel or dip pedicure is what I highly recommend for a long lasting ( for me up to 4 weeks) and gorgeous experience, The value and cost is extremely fairly priced for experienced nail artists who work long hour days, seven days a week and truly are top of the line nail artists. The management truly cares about your experience and makes sure you are satisfied every time.
After not getting my nails done for years, I finally found First nails after a recommendation from a friend. John has been doing my nails for about five years now and they are the best! My nails are always exactly how I like them. I would recommend them to anyone. They are also always so nice and welcoming.
Have been going here since they opened. Unfortunately today was my last appt there. Had an appt at 10, my usual tech saw me walk in, was never greeted. She continued to ignore me and talk with coworker. I finally asked if she was ready at 10:10. I asked how her how her day was, she never answered me, continued to try to make small talk with no reply. Paid for my service including tip. She never said thank you, nothing. I finally asked her if she no longer wanted to do my nails because I certainly got that impression today. Diane spoke up right away and said, “of course she’ll continue to do your nails.” Unfortunately they lost a long time customer however, I don’t really think they care one way or another.
First few times I went were okay. This is now the second time where my dip manicure is chipping off less than 24 hours after. This last visit, they charged me for a full manicure while the man didn't do any part of the service other than the dip (no lotion, cleaning nails, clipping cuticles, etc.).
How can you not allow tips on credit cards??? Not everyone carries cash or a ATM card. If you accept CCs you can add tipping.....
Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. It used to be a convenient place with strong, knowledgeable nail techs. I came here many times this past year, and each time I was disappointed. I would show a design, they would say they could do it, and then it would look NOTHING like it. I found another nail tech elsewhere that I absolutely LOVE, and did not realize the drastic difference in professionalism and quality before switching. Often times at first nails they would use the bare minimum polish, barely give your feet a good pedicure, and would give you many unnecessary charges (removing a nail, adding one, etc.)
I went last week as my nail tech was out of town for a long time. The gentleman told me that he could not get the stuff off my nails so he needed to do a whole new set. I told him it was acrylic and he said no that's not acrylic. I know for a fact it was because that's all my nail tech uses. Anyway, since I was missing some nails I said okay. I probably should've just left there, because him removing the nails were SO PAINFUL. My nail beds are destroyed.
I told him I just wanted pink and white, but he did not do that. He used clear acrylic and then painting on the white. There are numerous brush bristles in the acrylic and paint. Also, many of my nails are crooked. I was just going to chalk it up as a poor experience until one of my nails popped off today. I was not doing anything strenuous, I it just came right off! In all I spent $72. I know nails are not cheap but for them coming off not even a week later, crooked nails, MANY imperfections, and a painful experience,
I am not happy. I would suggest going to a smaller business where they care about their customers and product.
Got a classic pedicure today with gel polish and it was $59 not even including a tip. The pedicure took about 25 minutes and my feet were in the water for only 5 of those minutes. The woman never spoke a word to me. When she started painting my toes the color was extremely light so I asked to pick a new color and she blatantly ignored me. I don’t have a problem paying for a good service but they don’t care about anything but making sure you’re in and out.
