Quick Facts About Fishermans Catch

Fisherman's Catch Place has several strengths that can be gleaned from the comments. One of the main strengths is the friendly and welcoming staff. Multiple comments mention how the staff are amazing, friendly, and always welcoming. This creates a positive atmosphere for customers and contributes to their overall experience at the chippie.
Another strength is the value for money. Several comments mention that the prices are good and that customers get a lot of food for what they pay. This is seen in the comment about the doner & chips on the specials menu, which offers plenty of meat and chips. The portion sizes are also praised in another comment, with the chippie being regarded as the best in terms of portion sizes.
Additionally, the freshness of the food is a strength. One comment specifically mentions that everything is cooked fresh, which adds to the quality of the food. This is seen as a positive aspect as it shows that Fisherman's Catch Place prioritizes freshness and quality in their offerings.
Furthermore, there is evidence of positive customer interactions. Comments highlight instances where the boss, Nick, happily took a selfie with a customer and where another customer paid for someone else's food, showcasing a friendly and generous atmosphere. These interactions contribute to the overall positive experience at Fisherman's Catch Place.
However, there are also some weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One weakness is the inconsistency in food quality. While some comments praise the food, one comment mentions that the fish was a soggy mess with no crispy batter. This inconsistency in the quality of the food could be a potential drawback for some customers.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is the packaging of the food. The customer mentions that the batter stuck to the paper, resulting in a plate of broken up fish with mashed batter scraped off the paper. This indicates a need for improvement in the packaging to ensure that the food arrives in good condition and maintains its quality.
In conclusion, Fisherman's Catch Place has several strengths, including friendly staff, value for money, freshness of food, and positive customer interactions. However, there are also weaknesses such as inconsistency in food quality and issues with packaging. Overall, the positive aspects outweigh the weaknesses, making Fisherman's Catch Place a popular choice for takeout in the area.

This chippie is awesome! I’m an expat and haven’t visited a chippie in almost a decade, I live in Switzerland and we don’t get chippies there. I was so excited I took selfies and everyone found it so amusing that the boss Nick agreed to a selfie with me he was so lovely. Got to payment and got told that the guy two ahead of us in the queue had already paid for our food. What amazing Christmas spirit there is in Talke! The food was delicious too, here’s a pic of my kids and I (my son is 12 and doesn’t remember chippies) enjoying it. Merry Christmas to Nick and his friendly employees and to whoever that guy is in the background; you lovely lot ❤️
My local takeaway. Aside from going to the Chinese, Iv been going here for takeout ever since I moved into the area. Staff have always been nice to me, prices are good, and you really do get value for money.
My usual go to is the doner & chips on the specials menu. The meat has always been nice and moist, plenty of meat and chips, plenty of grated cheese if you want, and it’s always been gorgeous. With regards to value for money, you get so much that it sometimes makes it hard to even close the lid! But either way, it’s my favourite takeaway in the area, and highly recommend. I understand these guys have a great reputation with the locals.
1st time i came here i asked for a medium size chips and curry it took me all day to eat but wouldn't throw it in the bin due to how nice it was . 2nd time i went in i ordered a small and it was bang on . great chippy
Come here all the time, staff are amazing, friendly and always welcoming. Best chippy round and worth the money for the portion sizes
Staff V friendly, Such a shame tho, worst Fish & chips I’ve had in a long time. Fish in the tray & then piled a mountain of chips on top, mostly undercooked, so fish just ends up soggy mess, no crispy batter. Seem proud to put as many chips on top that they can, which ruins everything/no need for.
Lovely place, with really friendly staff. Reasonably priced and everything is cooked fresh. Staff engage and have a laugh and make you feel welcome.
The best fish and chip shop in the Stoke/Newcastle area, without a doubt.
They are competitively priced, have a good and varied range of product and the staff are friendly.
They work long hours and are always busy....But not too busy to have a pleasant chat.
I have used them for twelve years and would go nowhere else.
Spent £21 for four adults here, as you can see, battered burger, batter not cooked, fish tasted lovely but crikey sort your packaging out, all the batter stuck to the paper, just ended up with a plate of broken up fish with mashed batter scraped off the paper, not great for how much it was
