Quick Facts About Gracie-Ann's Tea Room
Gracie-Ann's Tea Room has received mostly positive feedback in the comments, with customers praising the service, food, and overall experience. However, there are a few criticisms regarding the service and the quality of the cakes and scones. By analyzing these comments, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of the tea room.
Starting with the strengths, many customers appreciate the excellent service provided by the staff. They describe the staff as friendly, patient, and constantly checking to ensure everything is okay. This shows that the tea room prioritizes customer satisfaction and goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience. The staff also take the time to chat with customers, even when busy, which adds a personal touch and makes customers feel valued.
The quality of the food is another strength of Gracie-Ann's Tea Room. Customers mention that the food is good, fresh, and well-presented. In particular, the BLT sandwiches and omelettes receive positive feedback for being freshly made and delicious. The tea room also offers a beautiful selection of homemade cakes, which customers find to be tasty and fresh. This demonstrates that the tea room takes pride in using quality ingredients and creating delicious food.
The ambience and decor of the tea room are also highlighted as positive aspects. Customers mention the decorated table, baby balloons, and gifts for a baby shower, showing that the tea room makes an effort to create a visually appealing and memorable setting. The new owners are also mentioned, with customers noticing nice little touches in the decor. This indicates that the tea room is committed to creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses that need to be addressed. Some customers mention that the service can be grumpy and that they felt pressured and unwelcome. This inconsistency in customer service can be seen as a weakness and should be addressed to ensure consistent positive experiences for all customers. Additionally, one customer mentions that their order was not served correctly, and the staff's response was not friendly. This indicates a potential issue with communication and customer complaint handling.
Another weakness mentioned by a few customers is the dryness of the cakes and scones. This suggests that there may be some inconsistencies in the baking or storage of these items. Gracie-Ann's Tea Room should ensure that their baked goods are consistently moist and fresh to meet customer expectations.
Lastly, one customer expresses disappointment with a last-minute cancellation for a booked table, citing the reason as the Christmas Market weekend. This suggests a potential issue with communication and customer expectations. The tea room should have clear policies regarding cancellations and should strive to accommodate all customers, regardless of events happening in the area.
In conclusion, Gracie-Ann's Tea Room has several strengths, including excellent service, good quality food, and appealing ambiance. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as inconsistency in service, dryness of cakes and scones, and potential issues with communication and customer expectations. By addressing these weaknesses, the tea room can further improve and provide consistently positive experiences for all customers.

We had a joint baby shower for both my daughters on 22nd October 2022. The service, the food, the decorated table and baby balloons, gifts for the mums to be were all perfect. The staff were so lovely and patient and were constantly checking everything was OK, topping up Tea and Coffees. Highly recommended. Thank you all for a memorable afternoon ????❤️

Great cafe for a light lunch ???????? or just a slice of cake ????. My BLT was freshly made, salad was fresh and the ladies working there all friendly and helpful.
A beautiful selection of cakes that tasted homemade and delicious and very fresh. I went in a Thursday morning at 10:30 and by 11:05 we had our food due to how busy it was. 5 stars to support small business Very well-presented, freshly made food!
The food was good we had a nice english breakfast. The service was a little grumpy.. out of 8 plates we only got served 6 cause the order didn’t came through correctly, service came to correct it but wasn’t really friendly even though it wasn’t our fault ..
The cakes and scones are very dry!
Very nice place, however, the staff is really unpleasant. They made us feel pressured and unwelcome even tho we were positive and smiling from the arrival. We rushed our stay just to be sure the staff wont be bothered by us anymore. As we were not regulars they didn't treat us as welcomed as they did with their regular guests. Shame! Not feeling like coming back any time soon or that I will share this place with my friends.
Well another year has passed since i visited here so I came for lunch and a slice of cake , with a friend , service once again was outstanding . Staff were so welcoming and friendly and took time to chat with you even when you can see how busy they are, spoke too a lovely lady who I believe was the manager who explained all about the cakes and choices. Food did not disappoint, we had amazing omelettes and choices of cakes couldn’t decide what one to have too many !!
Heard new owners had taken over and you can see the difference with the nice little touches in decor . Perhaps I won’t leave it another year before I return .
Really disappointed by this place. I've visited lots of times before and certainly won't return again, nor recommend them to anyone. We had booked a table (over a month in advance) and with a weeks notice they cancelled because 'they didn't think it would be enjoyable for us' as its the Christmas Market weekend. Honestly, would have rather they said they would prefer walk in trade than bookings.
