4. Generous portions and affordable prices: The food at Café Canedo is praised for being reasonably priced and offering generous portions. This provides good value for money and ensures that customers feel satisfied with their meal.
5. Wide selection of pastries and treats: The pastry counter at Café Canedo is noted for having a variety of delicious treats. This appeals to customers with a sweet tooth and adds to the overall dining experience.
6. Authentic Portuguese atmosphere: The café is described as having a low-key and friendly atmosphere that is reminiscent of cafés in Portugal. This appeals to customers who are looking for an authentic and homely dining experience.
7. Popular with locals and regulars: The fact that the café is frequented by locals and regular customers suggests that it has built a loyal customer base. This indicates that the café is doing something right and has a positive reputation within the community.
Weaknesses: 1. Limited menu for Portuguese breakfast items: One comment mentions that the breakfast items mainly cater to the typical English breakfast, and there is a desire for more Portuguese options. This suggests that the café could benefit from expanding their menu to offer a greater variety of Portuguese breakfast items.
2. Food may sell out quickly on weekends: A customer mentions that the food tends to sell out, especially on weekends, and recommends arriving early to ensure availability. While this can be seen as a sign of popularity, it may also inconvenience customers who are unable to secure a meal if they arrive later in the day.
3. Limited parking options: Another comment mentions that parking is limited due to the café being located on a red route. Although there are 30-minute bays available on side roads, this may still pose a challenge for customers who wish to dine at the café for a longer period of time.
Overall, Café Canedo has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, such as delicious food, friendly staff, a clean environment, affordable prices, and a wide selection of pastries. However, there are a few weaknesses that could be addressed to further enhance the dining experience, such as expanding the menu to include more Portuguese breakfast options and exploring solutions for the limited parking situation.

Best TL Reviews

I had a breakfast and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was light and very clean.
Price wise the food was very affordable for such generous portions. The pastry counter also had loads of delicious treats.
I would highly recommend if you are in the area.
I frequent here whenever I'm in London for a taste of home, it always hits the spot. Was quite busy that day, but the server was very nice. However, I will say that the breakfast items cater more to the typical English breakfasts, which is great, but I was hoping for some portuguese breakfast items too, so I just got lunch instead. Therefore, my only con is the menu is limited in terms of actual Portuguese items.
Just for a quick coffee but the staff is very polite.
One of the few Portuguese Coffee shops in the area.
Great exterior area to relax and chill.
The best breakfast centre around the corner.
I am always rooting for sunday specials.
Make sure you reach there 1 hour before closing, food is usually sold out, especially on weekends
Very clean restaurant. Friendly, polite, and helpful staff. Very well priced. I ate traditional Portuguese food including Bacalhau a Brás, Pastel de Nata, and washed down with a Cafe Delta espresso. All are tasty and worth the money. I recommend a visit. Great crowd too.
Lovely lunch with the family. Felt like I was in Portugal until I stepped back outside. Great hosts and great food. The portion sizes are big so if you are hungry then this is the place to go. Highly recommended
I stop here evertime I'm in the area. I'm not sure what it's like at other times but it's quiet around 11am, the staff are always welcoming and the bathroom is always clean. I'm always grab an espresso but I also enjoy their tuna melt. If you're a freelancer like myself you can always connect to their WiFi - the code is clearly displayed behind the counter.
Re. parking: it's on a red route but you can park anytime in the 30 minutes bays on one of the side roads.
My Portuguese friend goes there almost every Friday. This is the kind of café that you can find in Portugal: friendly, low key with simple and delicious food. Their sandwiches are really good. The coffee is great and the sweets are amazing.
