Quick Facts About Hong Kong Nails
Hong Kong Nails, located in Houston, TX, has received a variety of comments regarding its services. In evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, it is important to consider multiple factors such as customer service, professionalism, cleanliness, and pricing.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring comment is that the salon has a friendly and polite staff. Customers specifically mentioned Tracy as being sweet and nice, going above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and pampered. This indicates that the salon values customer satisfaction and strives to provide a positive experience.
Furthermore, the salon is commended for its beautiful results in the nail services. Several customers expressed satisfaction with the appearance of their nails and praised the outcomes of both manicures and pedicures. This suggests that the salon has skilled technicians who are able to deliver aesthetically pleasing results.
In addition, the ambiance and appearance of the salon are mentioned positively. Customers described the salon as clean, up-to-date, and visually appealing. The presence of modern workstations and a clean environment indicates that the salon prioritizes maintaining a hygienic space for its customers.
On the other hand, weaknesses can also be identified based on customer feedback. One common complaint is regarding the lack of knowledge and expertise of certain technicians. One customer, who identified as a truck driver with high standards, observed that a nail technician appeared to be inexperienced and unfamiliar with certain services. This suggests that the salon may not consistently provide adequately trained staff to meet customer needs.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the inconsistency in communication and understanding between customers and staff. One customer expressed frustration when staff members did not understand their requests for specific nail services, such as Shellac and spa pedicures with hot stones. This lack of comprehension may lead to miscommunications and dissatisfaction among customers.
Furthermore, pricing was mentioned as an issue by some reviewers. One customer mentioned being charged significantly more than what was initially quoted for their regular manicure and pedicure service. This discrepancy may lead customers to feel overcharged and dissatisfied with the pricing policy of the salon.
Cleanliness was another area of concern raised by customers. One individual claimed to have developed a fungal infection due to the lack of cleanliness at the salon. Complaints included the salon not cleaning their equipment after each use, which indicates a potential disregard for proper hygiene practices.
Lastly, a few customers mentioned experiences of unprofessional behavior from staff members. One customer described feeling unwelcome due to the unfriendly demeanor of the staff and the uncleanliness of the premises. Another customer commented on the occasional rudeness displayed by Tracy, highlighting the need for consistent professionalism among all staff members.
In conclusion, Hong Kong Nails has various strengths and weaknesses based on customer feedback. The salon excels in customer service, providing friendly and accommodating staff members. The results of their nail services are also praised, indicating skilled technicians who can deliver excellent manicures and pedicures. The salon's appearance and ambiance are also commendable, creating a clean and visually appealing environment. However, weaknesses are present, including a lack of expertise in some technicians, communication issues, pricing discrepancies, concerns regarding cleanliness, and occasional unprofessional behavior. Addressing these weaknesses could greatly enhance the overall experience and reputation of Hong Kong Nails.

Ima truck driver… I live in Houston, TX and I have a certain standard for my nails and pedicures.
The nail tech that was tasked with performing my pedicure was very obviously brand spanking new.
I walked in asking about Shellac. No one knew what I was asking…
I asked about a “Spa pedicure” with hot stones… no one knew what I was asking so I was nervous that it wouldn’t be a good experience but it was an amazing experience.
60+ minutes with everything I wanted and asked for and the guy was clearly in training but he got everything correct even if he had to ask for help.
I marked this place on my maps whenever I’m back in town.
Very good costumer service… Tracey was very nice and did a great job with the pedicures and manicures… My nails look beautiful and i’m very happy with the results… recommend to go here !
Tracy is super amazing she always spoils me when I come in! She even gave me a sweet Christmas gift. She is absolutely awesome nobody else can do my feet I simply ask for an appointment and she is worth the wait.
My family and I came in for mani and pedis today 6/7/17. We will not return. I should have stuck with my $15 pedi service I get from Chicago Heights. Yes they are overpriced and the lady at booth 9 did a horrible job on my overlay. When I told her it looked sloppy she tried to tell me she gave me $5 off and I need a manicure. If I need a manicure. Why not mention that from the start?
I say it's to cover for the mess she of a job she did. She took the color off so I asked for an American manicure in which she just put tinted polish ove the mess of an overlay she did. I will not return to this establishment.
The nail shop looked really nice inside. Very clean, up to date work stations, and friendly staff.
This was THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT A NAIL SALON!!!! I saw the pictures of the marbled nail and the umbre nail on the Facebook page for Hong Kong Nails which is why I went there instead of the place I usually go to get my nails done. Before any service was performed I asked if they could do the umbre nail with the colors I wanted and they told me they could. Then I asked if they could do the marbled nail and was told that she would try it and if not she could do the umbre nail. Well, she could do neither one so another girl tried the umbre nail and it looked terrible. I ended up with the pink and yellow nails you see in the Nike shoe. I was willing to pay for the spa services I received which was 60 dollars but they wanted me to pay 85 for falsely advertising and not being able to perform the task I went there for. I told them I would pay the 60 but that wasn't good enough so I walked out. They followed me out, took a picture of my license plate and me and tried to press charges. So I ended up having to pay the 85 dollars to avoid having a warrant out for my arrest. Please save your money and time. I got there in the 12 o'clock hour and didn't get out of there until the 3 o'clock hour for nails I'm not satisfied with and still have to go somewhere else and pay again. SAVE YOUR MONEY! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
Tracey is sweet & nice but sometimes can come across rude. The nail shop is not clean !!!! They do not clean the equipment after each use, and the staff is extremely unprofessional and not welcoming at all! Prices went up AGAIN but the shop is still dirty, I have a fungus because of this nasty nail shop.
Was told $45 for regular medi & pedi plus $5 for nail art. Was charged $80 said it was for no chip polish, I specifically said no when I asked for no chip polish. Tracy was nail tech. Would not recommend
