Quick Facts About HN NAILS & SPA II
HN NAILS & SPA II, formally known as Tips and Toes, is a salon that has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned in the comments is the salon's ability to do dip powder nails. The commenter mentions that their dip powder nails came out really good. This indicates that the salon has skilled technicians who are capable of providing high-quality dip powder manicures.
Another strength mentioned is the decor of the salon. A long-time customer mentions that they have watched the salon grow and expand, and that the decor is lovely. The mention of a small section for kids that is decorated cute also shows that the salon caters to families and provides a welcoming environment for all customers.
Additionally, the commenter mentions the variety of color choices available at the salon. This indicates that the salon has a wide selection of polishes for customers to choose from, allowing them to personalize their manicures to their liking.
On the other hand, there are some clear weaknesses that can be identified from the comments as well. A customer mentions that they were disappointed with their experience because the technician ignored them for 40+ minutes after placing their nails in the acetone bowl. This shows a lack of attentiveness and poor customer service on the part of the technician.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency of the salon. One comment states that the salon is "hit or miss" and that the experience depends on which technician is doing the nails. This indicates that the quality of service at the salon can vary depending on the individual providing the service.
There are also complaints about specific technicians. One commenter warns against Melissa, stating that she is rough, drills at high speeds, and does not listen to the customer. The commenter's negative experience with Melissa highlights the lack of skill and poor customer service provided by some technicians at the salon.
Furthermore, a commenter mentions that a nail technician yelled at them in their native language and had a combative attitude. This type of behavior is unprofessional and creates a negative experience for the customer.
Other weaknesses identified are the overcharging for services and the lack of skill in nail painting. One commenter mentions that the salon overcharged them for unnecessary services, while another commenter states that about 70% of the technicians at the salon cannot paint nails properly and their work is sloppy.
Overall, while HN NAILS & SPA II has strengths such as their ability to do dip powder nails, their lovely decor, and their selection of colors, there are clear weaknesses in the salon as well. These weaknesses include a lack of attentiveness and poor customer service from some technicians, inconsistencies in service quality, unprofessional behavior from certain technicians, overcharging for services, and a lack of skill in nail painting. These weaknesses indicate areas for improvement for the salon to provide a better overall experience for their customers.

Not bad at all. The only thing that was uncommon for me was paying extra for shaping the nails and acrylics tip. I’ve been doing my dip powder in Orlando and never heard of any of this, but I’m guessing it’s because of their price?? Dip powder was 38, acrylic tip to make the nail longer extra 5, and almond shape extra $5. Total of 48 for my dip powder. They came out really good tho. Thanks Lisa
I have been going here for years and have watched it grow from Tips and Toes to HN Nails & Salon. HN added more space for nails, toes, and others: waxing, eyelashes, etc. The decor is lovely. They have a small section for kids that is decorated so cute. Lots of color choices, and they rock at doing dip powder!!!
I have been going here for years and was so disappointed with my experience today. My wait was reasonable, but when I was called to the chair for my nails, they placed my nails in the bowl with the acetone and never came back to check on me for 40+ minutes. The guy who started my nails had moved on to a new customer and completely ignored me. After that their light started flickering and after not being able to fix it I left with unfinished nails and a headache. So sad I have to find a new nail salon. ????????♀️
Stoped in randomly because I saw they were open on a Sunday. The guy that did my manicure was very patient and meticulous. My gel nails look great. Color: cloud castle.
HN Nails Spa is very hit or miss...
I can never say I've had an excellent experience with this salon, but it totally depends on who is doing your nails - they have a lot of middle aged/older people working in the salon and their style for painting/nail designs is very outdated.
With that being said, I recommend HN Nails Spa (if you can figure out which person works for you), however I do not recommend Melissa! Today was the 2nd time she's done my nails and was the 2nd time I was displeased with services received from the salon. Melissa is very rough, drills at high speeds and does not listen to her customer. I told her twice she was drilling too hard/too fast and the only time she listened was when I yanked my hand from her. She is not a pleasant nail technician at all, and extremely combative.
When I told her the gel polish was too thick, she literally stood up and yelled something in her native language and I calmly told her to sit down and not to ever speak to me or any other customer that way again. Then she had the audacity to sit back down and grab my hand as if I would allow her to finish working on my nails - I requested a new technician.
To add insult to injury she overcharged for services she did not provide - specifically a nail repair. I went in for a gel fill-in I did have ONE nail - my pinky where the acrylic had cracked... however, she did not give any additional care to my pinky ... she placed acrylic over all my nails w/no specific care or treatment to the cracked pinky outside of covering it with acrylic (an additional $6.00). Oh, and an additional lovely $5.00 because two of my other fingers had glitter polish on them.
I typically leave a tip, but not today as I was charged an extra $11.00 unnecessarily and the service received from Melissa was a nightmare! I do appreciate the manager stepping up to fix my nails... I feel he should've went a step further to at bare minimum apologize for the experience I had - but, he did not.
They really need to hire new techs, because at least 70% of the current techs cannot paint, their work is very sloppy, they overcharge and have horrible attitudes. If anyone knows where Ken and his wife went please let me know... because I would love to support them. Things have declined tremendously since they left.
The pic below is a glimpse of my experience... why would gel polish ever be on your customers arm like this? To me it shows lack of regard for the customer and their experience at your place of business.
Nails came out great, she took her time and made sure they were all shaped great and thin ???? love them
Que did outstanding work! She was polite, fast, didn't skip any steps, didn't hurt and she listened to me :)
They are one of the best nail salons that my daughter and I go to. Especially when it comes to designs on your nails.
