Quick Facts About Il Molino
Il Molino has several strengths that make it a popular coffee place in Battersea. Firstly, many customers praise the lovely staff and describe them as pleasant and friendly. Good customer service is crucial for the success of any establishment, and it seems that Il Molino excels in this aspect.
During lockdown, Il Molino was highly appreciated by customers as a godsend. This indicates that they were able to adapt their services and continue to provide quality products during a challenging time. In particular, the coffee is highly regarded by customers, with one person mentioning that it is the best coffee place in the area. The iced mocha is also highlighted as a standout item on the menu.
Il Molino is known for its proper Italian cuisine, including sandwiches, pastries, and cakes. This variety allows customers to have a satisfying meal and experience authentic flavors. The selection of sandwiches is particularly praised, making it a great spot for lunch. The sausage roll is also mentioned as a highlight, described as tasty and well seasoned.
The ambiance of Il Molino is another aspect that customers appreciate. The easy vibe and nice space create a relaxed atmosphere where people can catch up on their day. The cafe is referred to as an excellent local indie spot, indicating that it has a unique and local charm.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses that have been pointed out by customers. One recurring complaint is the high prices. Some customers find Il Molino to be a little expensive, which could be a deterrent for those on a tight budget. This is worth considering, as affordability is important to many customers.
Additionally, some customers have mentioned feeling rushed by the staff. Feeling hurried can negatively impact the overall experience, and it is essential for staff members to strike a balance between efficiency and making customers feel comfortable and relaxed.
There have been a few isolated incidents that have led to dissatisfaction among customers. For example, one customer was disappointed when they forgot their croissants after purchasing them and sent someone to collect them, only to be told they could not be given the croissants. This could be seen as an issue in communication or customer service, as the customer had already paid for the items and expected to receive them.
There have also been a couple of negative comments about the coffee at Il Molino. One customer found the cappuccino to be awful and threw it away, while another felt that the coffee had too much milk and not enough coffee. These comments highlight the importance of consistently delivering high-quality coffee and ensuring that it meets customer expectations.
Lastly, one customer mentioned being put off from ordering pastries due to their location in front of the till, where people are queuing up to pay. This suggests that there may be a need for better display arrangements to avoid any potential hygiene or customer satisfaction issues.
In conclusion, Il Molino has several strengths that make it a popular coffee place in Battersea. The lovely staff, quality coffee, selection of pastries and sandwiches, and pleasant ambiance are all highly regarded by customers. However, there are a few weaknesses to be aware of, such as high prices, feeling rushed by staff, and some isolated incidents of dissatisfaction. Addressing these weaknesses while continuing to focus on their strengths will help Il Molino maintain its popularity and attract even more customers.

I’m a big fan of II Molino. The staff are lovely, and it was a god send during lockdown. The coffee is equally as good, as well as the pastrys and food. The iced mocha is very good! I’m local to Battersea, and I have to say it’s the best coffee place around. A little expensive these days, but it’s well worth a visit (or three)
Such a great lunch spot! Proper Italian foods and cakes / pastries. Perfect for a toasted sandwich.
Lovely place, great coffee, and selection of pastries and sandwiches. Pleasant staff, easy vibe, nice space. Excellent local indie' cafe. Go, relax and catch up on your day.
Go-to cafe for coffee on the Battersea high street.
Prices are high, and sometimes feel rushed by staff members but quality of food is very good.
I bought a coffee and a croisant but someone called me, i had to rush home and i forgot the three croisant that i bought, i sent someone to collect but they are the giving the Croisant????its already paid men. Heres you cup that i took home if you forgot! Dishonest staff
Solid pastries. Awful cappuccino- I threw it away. Had walked out or would have make them make it again.
Was boiling - must have used hot milk.
Not enough coffee for the three litres of milk (could probably be fine if there was much less milk)
100% worth training your staff on how to make coffee you have such great potential as it looks like such a nice place!
Good coffee, worth paying a little more for.. plus nice sandwiches and lovely sausage roll
Visited at weekend, decent coffee and sausage roll was tasty and well seasoned. One off putting issue was there is display of delicious looking pastries but they are situated in front of till where people queue up to pay so are reaching and talking over them which put me off from ordering one. I wish cafes would cover up food on display.
