This was my first time here & I had an amazing experience! Positive and clean atmosphere, a lot of talented braiders with beautiful personalities. Very efficient business, you won’t wait for long. Great communication. Im in love with my hair!
Please do not come here if you want neat box braids. The older ladies do not part your hair correctly or use the right products to make the parts clean. The braids are too close together that it doesn’t even look like box braids. They braid too tight and don’t want to leave your edges out. They talk about black americans in their native tongue and think you don’t know. They also make you pay before finishing the hairstyle. I will not be returning. Terrible experience. Never again.
It was a unique visit,my daughter received box braids for the first time . Arie hair turned out beautiful.
My favorite braiding shop. They're knowledgeable about the texture of your hair and recommends what you should or should not do to cause damage to your hair but still lets you decide what you want. Just because you see a pic you like doesn't mean you can get that exact style depending on texture of hair thin, thick, full etc.. I saw a pic I wanted my hair wasn't thick enough for the design, she continued to ask my opinion and we agreed on it being very similar it actually turned out better than the style on the pic. It fit my face and my hair texture I don't have to be concerned of my edges falling out trying to get something that wouldn't be suitable for my hair I've been here many times and is very pleased with their service and work. Love them!
I'm leaving my review for them to know I appreciate their service and they have a valuable customer❤????
I called the day before to check on pricing for Senegalese twists and I was told they start at $180. I booked an appointment for the next day at 3:30 PM. I arrived at my appointment on time and told them what I was there for. Jamilah was not there and the ladies looked at me like I was crazy. My hair is long and thick. They attempted to convince me to get box braids because "Senegalese twists were not good for my hair" and I told them no and I have had the senegalese twists before. They said they thought I had regular people hair which is short (about neck length at the most). They spent 30 mins talking in their language and on the phone with Jamilah about doing my hair. They added $20 to my price for the length as they allege but the braids are not past the top of my hip and I am 4"7. The parts have no symmetry to them at all they are everywhere and I can't style my hair to where it would look nice. There were three of them working on my hair and I am completely unsatisfied with my experience and I won't spend anymore money here.
Update Nov 2022
What I thought was a semi-basic style (tribal braids, w/out center braid) was not. My middle part is not centered and the braid sizes are inconsistent. SMH. Should have kept it simple.
Great place for basic styles. Braids are neat and very well done. The staff is professional and work hard to provide great customer service. The owner really cares about customer satisfaction.
Took my mini me to have her hair done and I was on time. The lady that had been doing her hair refused to do it and they kept us waiting for 2 hours; additionaly, i was over charged even after agreeing on amount before the work was done...I do tip my braiders but this time round i didn't. daylight robbery..definitely not visiting again. They just Lost 3 loyal customers.
This the only shop I go to for micro braids or box braids in a bob yes you will be satisfied
