Quick Facts About Julio's Grill
Julio's Grill is a small, mom and pop restaurant located in the small town of Burney. Despite its size, there are several strengths that make this Mexican grill place stand out.
One of the main strengths of Julio's Grill is the quality of their food. Many customers have commented on the deliciousness of the food, describing it as "awesome" and "delicious." Several dishes have been mentioned in the comments, including the chicken and steak fajitas, carnitas tacos, chile relleno, beef enchilada, and the two enchiladas with beans and rice. Customers have praised the flavors and authenticity of the Mexican cuisine served at Julio's Grill.
Another strength of Julio's Grill is the friendly and helpful staff. Customers have mentioned that the server was a very nice guy and very helpful. Some even mentioned that they were allowed to eat in, even when it was 5 minutes before closing time. The attentive and pleasant service provided by the staff adds to the overall positive experience of dining at Julio's Grill.
The atmosphere of the restaurant has also been highlighted as a strength. Customers have mentioned that the store made them feel like they were in Mexico, enhancing the dining experience. The authentic atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal and creates a unique and memorable experience for customers.
In terms of pricing, Julio's Grill has been described as having reasonable prices. Despite being off the beaten path in a small town, customers have found the prices to be fair for the quality of food and service provided. This affordability makes Julio's Grill an attractive option for customers looking for a delicious and affordable Mexican meal.
However, there are also a few weaknesses of Julio's Grill that have been mentioned in the comments. One weakness is the slow service. It has been noted that because it's a two-person show with the cook being the wife and the husband doing everything else, the service can be slow. While the quality of food is praised, customers may have to wait longer for their meals due to the limited staff. This slower service can be a drawback for those who are in a rush or have limited time to dine.
Another weakness that has been mentioned is that the rice is a touch too salty. While overall, the food is praised, this specific aspect of the meal could be improved to enhance the dining experience even further. The feedback about the slightly oversalted rice shows that there is room for improvement in terms of balancing the flavors of the dishes.
Overall, Julio's Grill has several strengths that make it a popular and well-loved restaurant in the small town of Burney. The quality of the food, friendly staff, authentic atmosphere, and reasonable prices are all factors that contribute to the positive dining experience. However, there are also some weaknesses, such as slow service and slightly oversalted rice, that could be addressed to further enhance the overall experience for customers. Despite these minor drawbacks, Julio's Grill remains a highly recommended restaurant for those craving delicious homemade Mexican food in Burney.

Great mexican food in small-town Burney. Looks like the cook is the wife and the husband does everything else in this mom and pop shop. Service is slow because it's a two person show but food is quality. Prices are reasonable for this off-the-beaten-path restaurant.
Great Margaritas. We had the chicken and steak fajitas, which were good. Non-smoking, which makes it the ONLY place to have a drink in Burney without choking on fumes.
Awesome food! Awesome staff!
Loved the atmosphere, the store really made me feel like I was in Mexico. I got the combination plate and was definitely pleased. I had the carnitas tacos, which were super juicy and authentic! The server was a very nice guy and very helpful. He let us eat in, 5 minutes before closing time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. 10/10
Delicious homemade Mexican food!! Carnitas taco with raw onions, cilantro, and salsa. Other plate had chile relleno and beef enchilada.
Started with included chips and salsa. Salsa is homemade and very good. Chips are thick and crunchy, perfectly salted. I ordered the two enchiladas (carnitas and chicken) with beans and rice, red sauce. Both enchiladas were stuffed with shredded meat and tasted good. Beans and rice were average but decent. Rice was a touch too salty. Portions were large - you have to be hungry to clean the plate. Overall, a great meal for $10.
The food there is always great. The closest thing to Southern California Mexican food we could find this far up north.
Got an order of chicken and steak fajitas and everything was really good. Good salsa and guacamole and very good chips.
