Quick Facts About King Buffet
King Buffet has received mostly positive comments from customers, highlighting its strengths. One of its main strengths is the quality of its food, particularly its Asian dishes. Customers have praised the coconut shrimp, hibachi, shrimp soup, and sushi for being delicious and fresh. The variety of options is also a strength, as customers mention the selection of mussels, crawfish, salad, and desserts. The restaurant offers a mix of Chinese and American cuisines, catering to different tastes.
The cleanliness of the restaurant is another strength mentioned by customers. They appreciate the clean facilities, including the tables and bathrooms. The staff is also commended for being nice and friendly, providing good service. Customers note that dirty dishes are quickly cleared from the tables, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
The value for money is considered a strength, with customers mentioning that the prices are reasonable. They mention that a family of five could eat for around $80 during the dinner rush, which is seen as a good deal for the quality and variety of food offered.
The restaurant's atmosphere is also praised as being chill, quiet, and relaxing. The artwork and atrium contribute to an enjoyable dining experience.
However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer had a negative experience when they received the bill less than 15 minutes after sitting down. Although the staff allowed them to continue eating, it affected their mood. Another customer observed that their table was ignored by the waiter, who did not refill their water even when passing by the table. These instances of poor service are weaknesses that should be addressed.
Another customer mentioned that the price of some items, such as the spring rolls, is a bit high. They also noted that they were not a fan of the western dishes offered. While these are minor complaints, they highlight areas where King Buffet could improve to better cater to customer preferences and value for money.
In conclusion, King Buffet has several strengths, including the quality and variety of its Asian and American food, cleanliness, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. However, there are some weaknesses related to the speed of service and prices of specific items. Overall, it is seen as one of the better buffet options in Birmingham and is recommended by customers.
Best TL Reviews
Not the cheapest but one of the better buffet options in Birmingham. If you are into Asian food, this place is a must try. They do also serve some American cuisines.
I enjoyed the coconut shrimp, hibachi and shrimp soup. Their ???? is also very good. Place is clean, staffs are nice. Recommended. Will visit again.
My first time dining here and the food is good! What amazes me is the hibachi, which is really delicious!
But a terrible thing happened,
1. Less than 15 minutes after sitting down, the bill appeared on my table, which was really the fastest time ever. Although the service staff came to express that I could continue to eat, my mood was greatly affected. Why don't you just collect the money when I come in, why do you pay the bill after only 10 minutes of eating?
2. I saw the waiter take the initiative to add water for the guest next to me, but ignored that our table was running out of water, even when she passed by my table or cleared my empty plates.
If there is another chance, I hope the practice can be improved.
This is the absolutely the best buffet around Birmingham. With everything from fresh mussels, crawfish, a plethora of sushi, salad and delicious desserts. Combining our classic buffet favorites with a plethora of new inventive ones. The atmosphere is chill, quiet, and relaxing. The service at the tables is quick not allowing any dirty dishes from your multiple trip to pile up. There is a hibachi where you can get your favorite dishes made to order. My family of 5 ate the dinner rush for about $80.
Excellent!
This is the cleanest Chinese buffet I have ever visited.
The selection is all fresh and appears to be changed out regularly.
I came at 3 so in between peak hours and the offerings all looked newly cooked.
The Mongolian option is perfect and worth the price you pay for the full Buffett.
Overall impressed.
Value was great.
Food was perfect
Staff was as friendly as expected since it’s a buffet.
All the food was fresh and delicious and there is a huge selection at the buffet. Beautiful variety of freshly rolled sushi too! Staff was very prompt and friendly and the restaurant and its facilities were clean. Definitely one of the best Chinese buffets that I have ever eaten at and very reasonably priced! We will be back.
In a time where buffet restaurants are dying, this place goes out of the way to earn five stars. The atmosphere is incredible, it has an atrium and solid artwork. Everything is spotless, from the tables to the bathrooms. The food selection is incredible, a good blend between American cuisine and Chinese restaurant classics. The food is well maintained, everything fresh, nothing looks like it has been sitting out for over an hour. The staff is incredibly friendly. Absolute gem in a dying part of the town.
I’m not a fan of fried chicken but their fried wings were really good! We ordered them as takeout and it was tasty!! I wasn’t a fan of the spring rolls nor the price for the food but inflation …But like I said I Highly recommend the fried wings…. Even if it’s just for takeout.
Best Chinese buffet I've been to in Alabama.
You have your standard Chinese fare,(with a few western dishes, a fruit, veggie and desert bar) but they have the option to have a bowl you build and they grill for you, and their sushi is the best buffet sushi I've ever had.(Rolls are fine, but I'm referring to the nigiri specifically.) I've been so into the food here that I've neglected to take pictures, so I will upload some next week.
Honestly believe if youre looking to Please a group that all wants something different, you can't go wrong here. Lunch prices are very reasonable.
