Quick Facts About Kings Arms

The Kings Arms pub has a number of strengths that can be gathered from the comments provided. Firstly, the pub is praised for being accommodating and welcoming to customers. This is evident in multiple comments where the staff are described as friendly and the atmosphere as inviting. This is important as it creates a positive experience for customers and encourages them to return.
The food at the Kings Arms also receives positive reviews. One comment specifically mentions the vegetable tart as being delicious, highlighting that the pub offers tasty vegetarian options. Other comments also mention that the portions are generous, indicating that customers feel they are getting value for their money. The fact that the pub serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner is also a strength, as it allows customers to visit at any time of day.
In addition to the food, the Kings Arms is commended for its selection of west country ciders. This is an important aspect for a cider pub, as customers expect a variety of options. The prices are also mentioned as being good value, which is likely to attract customers who are looking for an affordable place to enjoy a drink.
Another strength of the Kings Arms is its outside seating area and car park. Having these amenities makes the pub more accessible and comfortable for customers, especially those who want to enjoy their meal or drink outside or those who are driving to the pub.
Live music and functions at the pub are also mentioned as positive aspects. These events add an extra layer of entertainment and atmosphere to the pub, attracting customers who are looking for a lively experience. This helps to differentiate the Kings Arms from other pubs in the area and creates a unique selling point.
However, there are a couple of weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One comment states that the breakfast was disappointing, with pasty and pale sausages, tiny portions of beans and tin tomatoes, and warm bread. This suggests that the quality of the breakfast may be inconsistent or not up to standard. Additionally, there is a comment mentioning that some of the staff seem to dislike people enjoying themselves, resulting in a less welcoming atmosphere. This could negatively impact the overall experience for customers and discourage them from returning.
In conclusion, the Kings Arms has several strengths, including accommodating and friendly staff, delicious food with generous portions, a wide selection of west country ciders, and a range of events and live music. These strengths contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers. However, there are also a few weaknesses, such as inconsistent quality of breakfast and potential issues with staff attitude. Addressing these weaknesses could further enhance the overall experience at the pub.

Went here with a group of others for a post run meal. The pub were very accommodating and the food was lovely. I had the vegetable tart which was delicious and the portions generous
Popped in for our usual breakfast and was totally disappointed ☹️. Pasty / pale sausages, heated up bacon, tiny portion of beans and tin tomatoes and warm bread! On the other hand the pub and staff are friendly and welcoming
Stopped off here with our dog for breakfast on our way to Cornwall.
Really welcoming staff, great tasty breakfast.
Be stopping here again.
Nice little find, I was travelling the following day staying at Gordano services. Short drive to here from the motorway the food was better than I had expected and well priced. Staff were very friendly
Decent west country cider pub. The cider selection is decent and prices are good value. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner. Portions are a good size. It has an Outside seating area and has a car park. They have functions on and live music so its an all round decent pub.
Popped in on the off chance as passing to see if still doing food, received warm welcome and we're happy to check with kitchen to see if any roast dinners left, there were and they were very tasty, good portions and good price. Bonus they served our favourite cider. Four happy well fed passerbys, definitely worth a visit and we most definitely will pop in again.
Have been going to the kings arms as a family since i was a little girl & i now take my young children there frequently!
Fantastic local pub, always welcoming!
Great daily food menu, breakfasts & roasts a personal favourite of ours! in all the years we have eaten in the arms we have never had a bad meal! Live sports is always a brilliant atmosphere and regular weekend entertainment is not to be missed ,,,, highly recommend whether your after a tasty meal or a Saturday night on the tiles The Kings arms really do cater for all!
Lots of long faces, almost feels that some of the staff really dislike people enjoying themselves. Customers in all shapes and forms are the reason for the pubs trade.
