2. Friendly staff: Multiple comments mention the friendly nature of the staff at Koi Japanese Cuisine. This indicates that the restaurant has good customer service and creates a welcoming atmosphere for its patrons.
3. Good selection for vegetarians: One customer was pleased with the selection of vegetarian options available at the restaurant, despite it being less than what is typically found in sushi restaurant chains. This suggests that Koi Japanese Cuisine caters to a variety of dietary preferences.
4. Freshness of sashimi: A customer specifically praised the freshness of the sashimi, indicating that Koi Japanese Cuisine sources quality ingredients for their dishes.
5. Reasonably priced: A customer mentioned that the food at Koi Japanese Cuisine offers excellent quality at a reasonable price. This suggests that customers can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Weaknesses:
1. Limited sushi and sashimi options: One comment highlights that while the quality is great, the options for sushi and sashimi are limited. This indicates that Koi Japanese Cuisine may not have as extensive a menu for sushi lovers compared to other establishments.
2. Long wait for food: One customer mentioned experiencing a long wait for food, attributing it to a single chef working on a Friday night. This suggests that Koi Japanese Cuisine may struggle with managing high customer demand during peak hours.
3. Inconsistent quality: One customer expressed disappointment with certain dishes, such as thin sashimi and not crispy tempura. This could indicate inconsistency in the preparation of dishes, possibly depending on the chef or kitchen staff.
4. Discrepancy in discounts: A customer mentioned not receiving the correct discount for a take-away order. This highlights a potential issue in communication or the application of discounts by the staff.
In conclusion, Koi Japanese Cuisine has strengths such as the quality and flavor of their food, friendly staff, and a good selection of vegetarian options. However, it also has weaknesses including limited sushi and sashimi options, potential inconsistency in dish preparation, issues with wait times, and discrepancies in discounts. By addressing these weaknesses, Koi Japanese Cuisine can further improve its overall customer experience and increase customer satisfaction.
Best TL Reviews
Walked over 25 minutes to get to this place based on the review's thought we'd give it a try. Pleasently surprised with the food, flavour of sauce is very strong and very nice crispy outer chicken. Just upset that whilst we were in the restaurant they were switching off the lights as if to say hurry up and get out. Otherwise definitely eat here decent portions and the staff who served us was very friendly.
All sushi and sashimi dishes taste good and fresh especially the salmon ones
The tempura and the calamari are pretty standard, not much of a surprise.
For the mains, the spicy wafu udon is not very spicy and the texture of the udon is nicely done, not too soft not too hard.
The katsu curry tastes amazing too. The pork is crispy and very tender with a little fat in it. There are onion and carrot that gives the curry a little sweetness.
The one star off is basically for the options of sushi and sashimi is kinda limited. However, the quality is really great.
Went here on a whim with my partner and we really enjoyed it! There was a good selection of vegetarian food for us (less than your average Sushi restaurant chain but plenty for the two of us). If we’re in the area we will definitely come again!
Had sushi, it was ok. Some were nicer than others. There was a lot of duck in the duck inside out rolls. It was a long wait for food as it was Friday night and only one chef working. Staff were polite but didn't get 20% off for take away which isn't correct. Maybe next time I'll try the restaurant as the smells coming from the kitchen were lovely.
The first time I went, I saw that it was opened by a Japanese, and I had high expectations. I ordered some sashimi, sushi, tempura, soda. Except for sushi, it was okay, but the others were not very good. The sashimi was very thin, and the tempura was not loose. Crispy, not like the taste in Japan, the soda is even more non-steaming, the price is not cheap, the worst I have had in the UK.
Went for dinner with friends. Ordered each a bento box with different selections. Plus a bowl of sashimi to share! Love the freshness of the sashimi. This is definitely that needs to be shared with more people! Will recommend and come back again for food!
Amazing food as always. U gotta try the salt and pepper chips too, mind blowingly good. Best Japanase restaurant for miles. I highly recommend the salmon bentonite box.
Excellent quality food, reasonably priced. Great looking menu with lots of options, my husband doesn't really like fish but he loved the chicken bento box. We will definitely be visiting again.
