Quick Facts About Koko Nails & Spa
Koko Nails & Spa has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's analyze them in detail.
Strengths:
1. Good quality service: One customer mentioned being happy with their set of nails, including the perfect color match and the durability of the nails.
2. Best pedicure: One comment noted that they had the best pedicure and foot massage experience.
3. Use of organic polishes and products: They offer organic polishes and products without chemicals, which is appreciated by customers who prefer a more natural approach to nail care.
4. Reasonable prices: It was mentioned that the prices at Koko Nails & Spa were unbelievably low, with a full powder acrylic set and a pedicure costing only $50.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent service: One customer mentioned experiencing both good and horrible service on different occasions. This inconsistency raises questions about the competence and consistency of the staff.
2. Poor customer service: Several comments mentioned rude staff, terrible customer service, and disrespectful behavior towards customers. This includes having an attitude towards walk-in customers, a long wait time, and bad treatment towards those seated. Such behavior can drive customers away and impact the salon's reputation.
3. Disorganized appearance: One customer noted that the salon appeared disorganized, which can give the impression of a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
4. Language and smoking issues: A few customers mentioned that the staff spoke in a language they didn't understand, which could make them feel left out or uncomfortable. Additionally, the comments highlighted that some staff members were chain smokers and would leave to smoke during treatments, bringing the smell of cigarettes back into the salon.
5. Inaccurate nail services: One comment mentioned that the nail technician painted the wrong color on the customer's nails without acknowledging their mistake. This lack of attention to detail and accountability can be frustrating for customers who expect their preferences to be respected.
6. Unexpected fees: A long-time customer mentioned being charged additional fees without any prior notice. This inconsistency in pricing and lack of transparency can lead to dissatisfaction and a sense of unfair treatment.
Based on these comments, it is clear that Koko Nails & Spa has some areas in need of improvement. They should focus on providing consistent and high-quality service, enhancing customer relations, addressing organizational issues, and ensuring transparency in pricing. Taking steps to improve these weaknesses can help them regain customer trust and loyalty.

One day, they're doing a good job.. another day, absolutely horrible!
Got my nails done here a couple of months ago and I was SO happy with my set. The color match was perfect, and they lasted a long while.
Went back two weeks ago... horrible. The nail paint began to chip off the DAY AFTER, and my sister's nails began falling off within A WEEK. And its the same staff.
+ The place is just very.. disorganized? it's organized for them but looking at it as a customer, what a mess!
I think i'm going to give them one last chance with a new set.. but if that doesn't work out, i'm off to a new nail salon!
I’ve come to the realization that Koko Nails wants nothing to do with helping walk-in customers. They should make a sign on the door that says “APPOINTMENTS ONLY” because anyone that walks in gets an attitude, told 5 min and you’re sitting here for over a half hour and sometimes much worse customer service when you sit down. I’ve been here since 1015 and have watched 4 different people walk out.
Do the owners know nail salons are a dime a dozen and you can lose a business as quick as you catch an attitude with willing paying customers? I’m only here right now for my daughter to have her nails done with a GC that we received for the last time i was here over a month ago and left in tears from the outrageous service and over 2 1/2 hour wait for 2 full-ins and one pedicure OH and i had an appointment too. ????
Been coming here for years and watched this place go downhill. This are rude and talk about you in Chinese. They are chain smokers and walk out the back door to smoke while they’re doing your pedicures or nails and come back in stinking the place of cigarettes . Not the cleanest either. I will be finding a new salon
The best pedicure I ever have. Any give me the best foot massage I ever encountered.
I made a 10am appointment, I arrived at 9:54 and the entire staff did not arrive until 10:06 am to unlock the doors... not sure whose to blame for that. They seemingly hadnt swept up or anything the night before as they started to do so with all of us packed in there...they seem nice but very unorganized. The drying station is a bit awkward, as well. I did like that they offer organic polishes and products without chemicals.
The woman that did my pedicure did a good job on my toes
The lady painted two of my nails a color that was on the counter instead of the color I picked which was sitting in her plastic basket and then blamed me for not saying anything. Ha. Welcome to Long Island.
my friend and i decide to go in getting new sets. it wasn’t a long wait so that was good. the nail removal service was awful & painful bc steven was removing my old set w a metro card. i asked for a longer length but steven goes “this is good” but i requested longer. usually, paul does my set and i wish i requested for paul ☹️ paul is a great tech !! we’re both serviced by the nail techs & then after a while, steven tells me to go to another nail tech bc he was going to do someone else… who switches the person they’re working on for someone else ??? i was confused but anyways, i go to the next nail tech and i didn’t want her doing my nails bc she wasn’t that good as steven. so we’re both finished and my friend gets charged 50 dollars for her set bc she got a coffin set w rhinestones while my set got charged 70 dollars bc there is a “shaping fee” and “color gel” fee… basically you’re telling me that i get charged 5 dollars extra bc i don’t want square ? that is so ridiculous to me. i got charged an extra 10 dollars bc gel is now 10 dollars extra when previously, i was only charged for rhinestones and gemstones. the lady gave me rhinestones i didn’t ask for. i specifically said “why did you bring these here ? i don’t want them” and she continues to ignore me and put them on. i had rhinestones on my ring finger and they weren’t completely covering the finger. after asking why i’m being charged 70 dollars, they brought it down to 65. i’ve been a loyal customer here for almost 2 years and all of a sudden i’m being charged w random fees i’ve never been charged w. this place has been ridiculous. i am never coming here again after today. the customer service was awful & they really charged me extra for no reason… don’t come here !!! i usually end up paying 85 MAX for a gel pedicure and a fill in… why am i paying 70 for a new set alone ? their customer service has gone down. i don’t think i’m coming to this salon again.

With the intensity of work that my hands encounter the work ethic and quality my nails stayed strong and looked just as good as the day I left. Eyebrow waxing of face conforming perfection. It’s hard to trust people with the one feature of your face that makes a statement and I am above and beyond pleased with the expertise
