Quick Facts About Lavish Nails and Spa
Lavish Nails and Spa has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Here is an analysis of these strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths:
1. Skill and expertise: According to one comment, Tammy and Holly are praised for their amazing work. Holly is specifically mentioned to be excellent at pedicures, while Tammy is said to excel at various services such as lashes, facials, and bio gel nails. This indicates that the technicians at Lavish Nails and Spa have a high level of skill and expertise in their respective areas.
2. Pleasantness and customer service: The comments highlight that Tammy and Holly have a pleasant demeanor and are always pleasant to customers. Good customer service is crucial in the beauty industry, and their friendly approach can contribute to a positive experience for clients.
3. Appointment availability: Although Lavish Nails and Spa primarily operates by appointment, they will accommodate walk-ins if possible. Tammy is even willing to suggest making an appointment when she has availability. This flexibility in scheduling indicates a commitment to meeting customer needs.
4. Quality work: Despite being busy during holidays and events, the comments consistently mention that the work done at Lavish Nails and Spa is always of the highest quality. This suggests that the salon maintains high standards and consistently delivers good results.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of professionalism: One comment describes an incident where the technician at Lavish Nails and Spa acted unprofessionally. The customer experienced rudeness and harm to their nail during a service. The technician allegedly did not take responsibility or offer to rectify the mistake. This suggests a lack of professionalism and a failure to address and resolve customer complaints.
2. Overcharging and unclear pricing: Another comment accuses Lavish Nails and Spa of overcharging. The customer was surprised by additional charges, such as $20 for painting black lines on a big toe. This points to a lack of transparency in pricing and a potential issue with how services are priced and communicated to customers.
3. Language barrier: It is mentioned that the technicians at Lavish Nails and Spa may struggle with English, particularly Holly. This language barrier may lead to miscommunication or misunderstandings with customers. While this may not directly impact the quality of the service provided, it can hinder effective communication between the technician and the client.
4. Limited staff and services: Lavish Nails and Spa only has two technicians, Tammy and Holly, who primarily handle all services. This may result in limited availability, especially during peak times. The comments also suggest that the salon may lack variety in terms of services offered, as there is a mention of an additional technician only on Sundays. This limitation in staffing and services may restrict customer options and availability.
In conclusion, Lavish Nails and Spa has strengths in terms of skill, pleasantness, appointment availability, and quality work. However, weaknesses related to professionalism, pricing transparency, language barriers, and limited staff and services should be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience.
Best TL Reviews
Tammy and Holly are amazing. I love the work they do. Holly does the best pedicures. Tammy does everything else lashes, facial, bio gel nails are the best new thing! They are always pleasant. If you are going to use their services you have to understand it is only them. Best to make an appointment if you can. If you don’t they will try to take you but if they can’t Tammy will try to have you make an appointment when she has openings. They do get super busy around holidays and events but always the best work. I recommend them especially with an appointment.
I tried to come for a fill (made an appt) and she told me that a nail was lifting that was not. Tried to use a sharp cuticle scissor to cut the acrylic off and cut a gash into my natural nail where I actually pulled away without saying anything cause it hurt. She then said “I can’t work on your mail because you have a crack.” A crack that she just caused!!!! I’ve been getting my nails done for some time. Never experienced such rudeness. I am incredibly disappointed at the treatment and lack of professionalism. Acrylic can be filed and soaked off gently. She didn’t even offer to help or to fix her mistake. It is not supposed to be ripped off because it causes harm to the nail. Nail techs know this and don’t care - they are just looking for money and being lazy. It is disheartening as someone who works in the beauty world in a salon that this goes on. The salon is pretty but empty for a reason ! The photo is what she did and what they looked like before !
Avoid this business if you don't want to be overcharged. I was charged $28 dollars for 2 SINGLE toes done in a design and a tip placed on one of them. A $55 dollar pedicure became $83. I've heard of $10 for nail art, but $20 to paint a few black lines on a big toe???Indicative of general practices in this salon. Picture of the 2 toes done for $28 dollars shown - make it make sense!!!
Hello I would like to clear up some of the reviews for new customers.
* I have been going to this salon for a couple years now, Tammy the owner does a Bio Sculpture gel on my nails that I just love, she is the only one in Pinellas county that I know of that uses this product.
* The salon is pretty much appointment only, the door does say walk in's and they will take them if they have time but they are mainly booked by appointments so just beware if you walk in and see her taking a break and think she is just being rude because she says she is to busy, It is because she probably has an appt coming. She will not turn away customers if she has time.
*There are only two techs. Tammy the owner who does almost all of the services and Holly mainly does pedicures and manicures. I have noticed on Sunday's there is sometimes an extra tech. Tammy's husband is there quite a bit but does not do services, he just helps by taking appts, fixing stuff and cleans up things like that.
*The pricing is a bit higher at the salon than others I have been to, but you also get what you pay for. The only thing I can say is be aware of the add on's, and know nothing is included and everything is extra so ask about pricing first. Just an example I added the chrome to my nails and toes last time upon her recommendation and didn't ask pricing. I was thinking about $10 each come to find out it was $30 extra for my nails and $30 for my toes so $40 extra I wasn't expecting, again a little high yes but my fault for not asking first.
*As for the comments about the owner being rude, we all have bad days unfortunately and sometimes it is harder when your English is not perfect. Especially if you had a rude customer or just a long day in general. Not an excuse but I do feel like she is just direct not so much rude. Holly who mainly does pedicures and manicures does not speak the best English and will look to Tammy for guidance so if you ask her something or think she doesn't understand please ask Tammy.
*The salon was just remodeled a few months ago and is all brand new.
My final thought is give them a chance, but call and make an appt, ask about pricing first if it a issue or you are on a budget. Hope this helps sum up some of the reviews!! Communication is key speak up if you have a concern, ask questions and be kind!
The service and the staff were exceptional. Sing was wonderful with my 93 year old grandmother he was kind and patient with her. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the Winter Haven area
I went the first time she did great as im new to areas, she convinced me to try bio nails and it was horrible inculcating her service ???? mind you the bio is veryyyy expensive , so spending the the money wasnt an issue not being happy with my nails or getting great service for the top bucks isn’t rite ???? then charged me for french after telling me that was included, charged me $10 for a silver line $20 for gel but I thought bio was better ? Yet still using everything acrylic uses ??? I feel like i was ripped off then got upset cuz i didnt tip ???????? my final bill was $170 on bio nails terrible n horrible service, be happy i still paid you
Holly is a very good technician and takes the time to always make certain that everything is perfectly done … It keeps me coming back ????Gloria
Holly did an awesome job on my feet. I do feel they should interact with the customers more.
