Quick Facts About River Nail Spa

River Nail Spa is a nail salon that appears to have both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In order to analyze these strengths and weaknesses, we will examine the various aspects of the salon mentioned in the comments.
One of the strengths mentioned is the friendly and helpful staff. According to one comment, the man who did the nails for a customer's daughter was understanding and made jokes to make her feel comfortable. Another comment mentions that the woman who did the nails did a good job and was nice. These positive interactions with the staff indicate that the salon has employees who are skilled and have good customer service.
Another strength mentioned is the quality of the nails. A customer states that the nails looked nice from afar and another comment mentions that the nails were well done. This indicates that the salon is capable of providing satisfactory nail services.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One of the main weaknesses is the issue of pricing. A couple of comments mention that the pricing was not clear and ended up being higher than expected. One comment states that the price doubled from what was initially listed. This inconsistency in pricing can be seen as misleading and may leave customers feeling dissatisfied.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of attention to detail during the nail service. One comment mentions that there were missing areas of acrylic around the cuticles and that the nails started lifting less than a week later. This indicates that the salon may not pay enough attention to properly applying and maintaining the nails, resulting in a subpar experience for the customers.
Additionally, there were complaints about the rush and roughness of the service. One comment states that the technicians were rude and rushed, even causing pain during the service. Another comment mentions that the pedicure was rushed and unsatisfying, with no options for customization. These complaints suggest that the salon may prioritize speed over quality and customer comfort.
Furthermore, a comment mentions gossiping among the staff about a customer's tip. This unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on the salon's professionalism and customer service.
Overall, based on the comments provided, River Nail Spa has strengths in terms of friendly and helpful staff, as well as satisfactory nail services. However, there are several weaknesses in terms of inconsistent pricing, lack of attention to detail, rushed and rough service, and unprofessional behavior.

Best TL Reviews

My daughter wanted me to get my nails done with her. First time for both of us. The man who did hers was nice and understanding in her not being able to understand him, he even made a few jokes to make her laugh and feel more comfortable. The lady I got was nice and also helpful in trying to give me something I'd like. The bad reviews are from people obviously more picky or stuck up than us. Total cost was $50 for mine and $60 for my daughters. I feel like they did a good job and were professionals.
Got my nails done 6/19/22 by a man who only works there on Sundays (can’t remember his name). The nails looked very nice but there was no attention to detail around the cuticle, so there are missing areas of acrylic. Looks good from far away just not close up. On 6/25/22 (not even a week later), the nails were lifting and looked awful. They had air pockets. Even my husband (who doesn’t even notice my nails) noticed how terrible they looked less than one week after getting a fresh set of acrylics. I had to rip off all the nails on 6/25/22 because my hands looked embarrassing. I wish I had pictures from how bad they looked before I ripped them off. I feel like it was a waste of money and I should get a refund.
I don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled by this experience. First off the woman that did my nails did do an amazing job. The part of the experience that I was disappointed with was the fact that the sign clearly said manicure and pedicure for $45 and when I got to the register she said $75. I was so stunned I didn't argue or say anything (though now in retrospect I wish I would have). Also it seemed that she gave preferential treatment to different people, quoting a half an hour for one person and an hour and half to others for similar services. One person was given the estimate of an hour. She was told to leave her number and they would call her. They were running behind, which is okay. However, the customer stopped by an hour later and no effort was made to tell her how much longer it would be or to engage with her. I have decided I would rather go to a place that has prices posted on a website and sticks by them. The only reason I even gave them three stars is that my nails were well done.
Absolutely horrible experience. They didn’t tell me the price until it was done and it had doubled in price from what was listed. They made choices to drive up the price that I didn’t ask for and they didn’t tell me they were doing. When I gave them my money to break, they refused to give any of it back and walked away from me while I was trying to express why I was upset. They also talked about me during the session like I wasn’t there. My tech was mad because I wanted my nails shaped a little bit more.. which only took a couple of minutes but he reprimanded me the entire time for it. All in all, rude, dishonest, and unreasonable. Would never recommend to anyone.
They were so rude and it was so rushed even if I was the only one getting my nails done. The two woman were very rough with my hands. Sometimes it even hurts. Don't go save your money.
By far the worst pedicure I ever had. The massage chair sucked, you could barely feel it so it defeated the whole purpose of having a relaxing experience. On top of that the pedicure itself was rushed and unsatisfying. We were not offered an option of which pedi we wanted they just did the most basic and quick pedi they could do. I still have callus to get off of certain parts of my feet especially my big toes where I get the most callus and the most disappointing part was the fact they did not moisturize my feet with anything at all at the end of the service and my feet were left dry and ashy by the time the polish dried. the 1st thing I had to do was put lotion on before putting my shoes back on because my feet were literally white. Needless to say I will not be back and certainly won't be recommending, I will stick to doing them myself and saving my hard earned money instead of giving them money for nothing. How embarrassing to walk out with pedi slippers and white feet like u walked through powder or something smh...Totally disappointed
I came into River Nail Spa with high hopes and great recommendations. Unfortunately, my actual experience didn’t live up to my expectations. The woman who did my gel acrylics was very clearly irritated with me when I couldn’t quite understand what she was saying, and straight out ignored my questions about what services I had agreed to. She continued to try to push additional services on me that would increase the final price of my visit, and again was irritated when I politely declined each time, proceeding to OBVIOUSLY gossip about me to her coworkers (she even accidentally gestured to me while talking to one of them). She did not push back or cut/clean up my cuticles at all. Eventually, I was moved to a different nail practitioner so as to serve incoming customers as quickly as possible, which was totally fine. She asked if I could pay early so that I wouldn’t have to pay with wet nails. Again, totally fine, until she asked me what I was going to tip. I said, “$3,” and immediately she called over to the first woman in their language and they both shook their heads and kept talking, even snickering at one point. I asked what was funny and she answered, “Oh, I just told her how much you tipped her.” Um?!?!??!
She then led me to a chair; I told the woman I would like matte black nails. In general, she was much nicer than the first woman, but I’m sorry to say that the attention to detail was less than satisfactory. I had to ask her to go over my nails again with the matte polish because the shiny black was showing through all around the cuticles, and even then, my nails didn’t look great. Waste of $35. I’m reviewing 2/5 stars only because the second woman was generally friendly and exhibited relatively good customer service, other than gossiping about my tip in front of me.
I love my Nail Tech
