Quick Facts About Fancy Nails
Fancy Nails Place, located at 266 E Harvard Blvd, Santa Paula, CA 93060, has a range of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that the location of Fancy Nails Place is convenient and close to their home. This can be a significant advantage for customers who value convenience and proximity when choosing a salon.
Another positive aspect highlighted by a customer is the quality of the nails. They mentioned that the salon does good nails, indicating that the overall outcome of the nail services is satisfactory. Additionally, this commenter praised the salon for fixing three nails that were chipping or old, demonstrating a willingness to address and correct any flaws in their work.
Furthermore, a customer commended Fancy Nails Place for providing unbeatable prices for their services. Affordable pricing can be attractive and appealing to customers who are conscious of their budget and seeking value for money.
In terms of customer service, one commenter specifically mentioned the amazing customer service at Fancy Nails Place. They appreciated the customer service provided by Tina, who successfully fulfilled their request for flames on their nails. This positive experience highlights the efforts of the staff to meet the individual preferences of their customers and provide a satisfactory experience.
However, along with these strengths, several weaknesses were pointed out by customers that require attention and improvement.
One of the recurring issues mentioned by multiple customers is the inconsistency and subpar quality in the services provided. Customers reported problems such as a pedicure not meeting their expectations and leaving their legs red and rough due to burning towels. They also mentioned issues with acrylic nails, including a terrible acrylic job, nails not being glued on correctly, miss-shaped or wrong lengths, and quickly chipping nails. These flaws indicate a lack of attention to detail and quality control, resulting in the need for frequent visits to fix the salon's mistakes.
Furthermore, the lack of professionalism in the salon was highlighted by a customer who visited on a busy day. They described the salon accepting more customers than they had seating available, which led to a chaotic and unprofessional environment. This reflects poorly on the salon's ability to manage customer flow and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Another concerning aspect mentioned by a customer is the unhygienic conditions observed during their visit. They suggested that the salon should be inspected for sanitary conditions. This raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene practices of Fancy Nails Place, posing potential health risks to customers.
Additionally, there were complaints regarding the use of tools and equipment during services. One customer stated that they were cut during the buffing and drilling process, indicating a lack of proper technique or care when using these tools.
Another issue raised by a customer is the misrepresentation of services and supposedly COVID-19-related limitations. They mentioned that the salon charged full price for services that were not fully rendered, such as skipping hand soaking, lotioning, massage, and oil during a manicure. Customers expect transparency and accurate pricing, especially when services are not provided in their entirety.
Moreover, the lack of professionalism of the staff was highlighted by an incident where a customer had a disagreement with the apparent manager or business owner. The staff member raised his voice, which resulted in an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience for the customer. Such behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the salon's reputation and customer service.
In conclusion, Fancy Nails Place has some strengths, such as its convenient location, reasonable prices, and positive customer service experiences. However, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed, including inconsistent and subpar quality, unprofessional behavior and environment, potential hygienic concerns, and misrepresentation of services. Taking these weaknesses into account, potential customers should carefully consider their options and weigh the risks associated with choosing Fancy Nails Place as their salon of choice.

Paid $60 for a deluxe pedicure I gotten deluxe before at other salons and this definitely wasn’t a deluxe on my feet but left my legs red from the burning towels and the roughness.
I loved how close this was to my home, however it’s just not worth going any longer due to how often I am having to go back to them so they could fix their mess ups. Wether it be a terrible acrylic job, not gluing the nail on right at all, miss-shaped/obviously wrong lengths, quickly chipped nail (which I understand isn’t always their fault, but seems to happen a lot with them…) along with many other flaws that frustratingly happen that cause me to go back to fix almost every single visit
Went in on 12/29 to get my toes done and acrylics. My acrylic nails started lifting on 1/1/22. My toes were cut up and bleeding. They cut my nails but left the sides to stab and cause ingrown toenail. I paid $110 for this plus tipped 2 employees. The person doing toes stabbed my toes multiple times when the salon started getting busy. They kept accepting people even though they had no more seating available. Very unprofessional work. Will not be going back.
Legitimately probably the best spot in SP. Usually busy in the afternoons. I got a fill, she fixed 3 nails that were chipping/old, hot them shorter, and black tip gel got an unbeatable price. Thanks Fancy Nail ????
They do good nails it’s just when they buff my nails nd drill they cut me????. Nd that’s a no for me!
I recently visited Fancy Nails 266 E Harvard Blvd, Santa Paula, CA 93060 during my visit from Texas. I'm not sure where to file a claim regarding their misrepresentation of services offered and supposed COVID-19 limitations but figured I'd leave an informed review for others.
What's occurring though is that, they're charging full price for services not being rendered, while claiming that it's due to their pandemic compliance, however only mentioning so after the fact.
For example, I went in for a manicure on Tuesday, May 3rd. The technician did not ask me to wash my hands, wash his at any time during my visit nor was he wearing gloves. I was behind a plexy glass and he was wearing a mask which seemed to be in compliance.
Results he was inexperienced and had to start my manicure over. What would've been a brief visit turned into over 90 minutes.
Having said the above, it was just gel-polish and cuticle removal. Nothing more, nothing less. When I went to pay, he charged me the full manicure price of $37. My question to them was, what does a manicure include because they did not perform the full service, i.e. hand soaking, lotioning, massage and oil. They stated that due to the pandemic they could no longer offer those services however this made zero sense since they were still charging full price.
At that point, I was in disagreement and asked that I be charged just for polish. The apparent manager or possible business owner was then called and said that they could not cancel my charge but that he'd reduce the charge by handing me $7. I ultimately agreed, but only after several minutes of trying to explain that I did not receive what I'd asked for (they were unable to state what they were charging for) and asking him to calmy speak to me since he was beginning to raise his voice. He asked one of the female technicians about what had occurred and she seemingly appeared to have concurred that they were in error, while at the same time stating that they were unable to provide a full manicure service due to the pandemic, however still needed to charge full price.
As I'm walking out, they yell to never return. I turned around and said ok no problem. He then yells it again and I said to him that I heard him the first time. Obviously bothered, he said it once more and I just walked away.
The thing is, I'll pay full price, no problem. I'm sure that's the case with any patron. But when an establishment insisted that they were following health protocols, then either reduce the price, charge minus omitted services or be in full compliance. I would've returned had it not been for his outbursts. Completely uncalled for in my opinion is all.
I'd like to add that at minimum, this business should be inspected for sanitary conditions too. I'm not stating any assumptions only that during my visit, the salon is visibly unkempt.
Amazing customer service!! I came in asking for flames on my nails and Tina totally *nailed* it ???? very reasonably priced as well
