Quick Facts About Avalon Spa & Salon
Strengths:
1. Skilled and Knowledgeable Technicians: Myla is highly recommended and has a loyal customer base due to her expertise and dedication to nail health. She constantly upgrades her skills and knowledge, which shows her commitment to providing quality service.
2. Friendly and Courteous Staff: The technicians at Avalon Spa & Salon are described as friendly and pleasant, making customers feel comfortable and welcome during their visit.
3. Welcoming Environment: The front desk staff is praised for being nice and providing good customer service. This contributes to a positive overall experience at the salon.
4. Wide Range of Services: The salon offers various nail services, including foot baths, foot scrubs, and gel polish application. They also provide a la carte options, allowing customers to customize their treatments based on their needs.
Weaknesses:
1. Long Wait Time: One customer mentioned a wait time of 45 minutes, which can be frustrating for customers looking for immediate service. Though they did receive a call sooner than expected, the initial wait time may deter potential walk-in customers.
2. Lack of Communication Regarding Additional Charges: A customer expressed disappointment with the additional $20 charge for gel polish, as it was not communicated upfront. Lack of transparency about fees can lead to customer dissatisfaction.
3. Inconsistent Nail Polish Application: A customer mentioned that they were disappointed with the nail polish application, as there was polish on their fingers and the other hand as well. Inconsistent application can detract from the overall quality of the service.
4. Price Inequality: A customer felt that the service and skill level did not justify the price they paid for a full set of nails. The customer was unsatisfied with the nail design, shape, and overall outcome. This suggests a potential issue with pricing and value for money.
5. Poor Gel Polish Quality: Several customers mentioned that the gel polish chipped off after a few days, indicating a potential issue with the longevity and quality of the product used. This can be a significant concern for customers who expect their manicure to last longer.
6. Rushed Service: A customer expressed disappointment with the rushed service they received. The technician seemed distracted and did not provide proper attention to detail or engage in conversation. This can leave customers feeling undervalued and unsatisfied with the overall experience.
7. Lack of Customer Communication: One customer shared their frustration about not receiving a call when their appointment was ready. This lack of communication shows poor business practice and can harm the salon's reputation.
Overall, Avalon Spa & Salon has strengths in terms of skilled technicians, friendly staff, and a wide range of services. However, weaknesses such as long wait times, inconsistent application, communication issues, and subpar nail quality should be addressed to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, improving the level of attentiveness and professionalism during services can significantly enhance the customer experience.

Myla is the ONLY one I will go to. I've been a fan since she got her license. She cares alot about not only having a beautiful set of nails. She is very nuturing about the health of your nails as well. She's courteous and constantly upgrading her skills and knowledge of the industry. She is going to go real far.
Went in as a walk-in on a Sunday. Was told there be a 45 min. Wait got a call in about 15-20 minutes Starting they were ready for us as there were two pedis being done. My friend an I were immediately put into foot baths an the older woman started in my friend first. I sat an soaker for about 20 minutes while another technician finished her client. When she finally did get started on me the conversation was pleasant an her attitude pleasing. She provided my foot scrubbed recommended a great foot peel product. My only issue that I was unaware of was there’s an additional $20 charge for gel polish which they offered without telling, But hoping an knowing it supposed to last longer (which I hope it does) I won’t complain.
The front lady was very nice and so was the lady that did my nails but i was very disappointed when I walked out and saw the nail polish on my fingers. It was on the other hand too. I think they were in a little bit of a rush but I payed $65 It would’ve been nice to have them look 100 % Decent.
service and skill level not worth the money. I paid 73 dollars for a short full set with a stripe down the middle of 2 nails on each hand and a line across 1 nail on each hand. the lines are not neat. Plus, the nail tech tried to fix it and used her nail to remove some polish and smeared it. And didn't fix it. the nail shape wasn't precise either. The nail tech was nice and talkative. But she should of been focusing more on doing my nails. She does nails like she just got out of beauty school. Definitely not worth 73 dollars!
It was a nice experience. I do not go to nail salons often and I live on the west coast and all and all it was a lovely experience and I enjoyed talking to my technician but I was taken a back that it was more of an a la cart type experience instead of all in one however at least you won't pay for what you do not need.
I’ve been going here for a very long time. I love going here but I don’t think I’ll be continuing anymore. Service here has gotten bad. I had my name and my daughter on the list for service, this was around 5.15 or 5.30. I was supposed to get a call when they were ready. So we went shopping while we were waiting but never received a call. Around 7.30 I walked in to find out how much long they said they stopped services after 7. So they didn’t even bother to call to let me know. This is bad business.
Gel chips off after a few days. This has happened here 3 times. I won’t be returning.
Total slop job. The girl that did my nails was rushing, she would go back and forth from doing my nails to answering the phone to signing in new customers. Honestly I feel like I could have done a better job doing my own nails. Also she made little to no eye contact with me and no conversation. It made me feel like nothing more than a number. Let the pictures speak for themselves. I have acrylic stuck to my skin and it's not filed down properly at all. I asked for coffin style and got a basic square. Very disappointed.
