Quick Facts About Lee Nails Mokena
Lee Nails Mokena has received a mix of positive and negative comments that provide insight into its strengths and weaknesses.
One strength highlighted by multiple commenters is the excellence of the technicians. They are described as skilled, knowledgeable about the latest techniques, and able to create long and curved nails to a high standard. This indicates that the salon has talented professionals who are able to meet the demands of picky customers. Additionally, there is mention of a real family atmosphere, suggesting a friendly and welcoming environment.
However, there are several weaknesses that have been brought up in the comments. One recurring issue is the decline in service quality. A customer mentioned that there have been two instances where their technician had to leave right before their appointment, causing inconvenience. The customer also mentioned that they were not informed of the cancellation in a timely manner during a previous incident. This lack of communication is a significant weakness and shows poor organization and customer service.
Another weakness highlighted is the durability of the nails. One customer mentioned that several nails popped off within a few days of getting them done, and when they went back to explain the issue, they were treated poorly by their regular technician. This suggests that there may be inconsistency in the quality of the nail application and a lack of willingness to address customer concerns. Additionally, the use of an off-white color to fix the nails, rather than matching the existing color, raises questions about attention to detail.
In one comment, a customer mentioned a serious issue regarding an allergic reaction. They specifically informed the technician about their allergy to acrylic and requested a dip nail service, but the technician went against their request and used acrylic products. This shows a disregard for customer safety and preferences, and highlights a lack of knowledge or care on the technician's part. This incident is a major weakness and could potentially be dangerous for customers with allergies.
On the other hand, there are positive comments regarding specific technicians. One customer mentioned having an amazing experience with Abby, who provided a great milk and honey no chip pedicure. This indicates that there are individual technicians at Lee Nails Mokena who are able to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction.
However, other comments criticize the overall quality of the salon's work. One customer mentioned that their nails looked like they were done by a child, indicating a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
Another negative comment emphasized the rude and impatient behavior of a nail technician. The customer claimed that the technician did not listen to their preferences, refused to fix their nails, and displayed an uncooperative attitude. This kind of poor customer service is a major weakness that can drive customers away and harm the reputation of the salon.
Lastly, there is dissatisfaction expressed regarding the pricing and lack of variety in designs. One customer mentioned that they frequently receive the same shape, length, and design, and questioned the $75 charge for a french tip style. This suggests that Lee Nails Mokena may not offer enough options for customers who want variety, and the inconsistency in pricing without a clear explanation is a weakness as well.
In conclusion, Lee Nails Mokena has strengths in terms of skilled technicians and a friendly atmosphere. However, there are several weaknesses identified in the comments, including declining service quality, inconsistency in nail durability, poor communication, a serious allergic reaction incident, lack of attention to detail, rude behavior from technicians, and limited design options. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order for the salon to improve and maintain customer satisfaction.

I’ve been getting my nails done for 20 years at least and this place I’ve been going to now 2 yrs. almost. Technicians are excellent, current on all of the latest techniques and clean and I’m very picky about my nails ( long and curved)! Real family atmosphere. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Used to love this place but service has gone down hill. My daughter and her friend had made an appointment to get their nails done. 30 mins before the appointment my daughters nail tech had a family emergency so she agreed to go to someone new. Not an issue things happen but this is the second time in a row this tech had to leave right before we had appointments with him. Last time they couldn't even call me to say he couldn't take our appointments because the receptionist wrote down the wrong number. Once again, things happen.
So a full set of nails were done by a different tech. They looked good and she was pleased. 2 days later one nail pops off. 5 days later 3 nails pop off and the rest are loose. We go in and explain to owner and they agree to fix the three nails that came off. We said the other nails were loose just explaining that something isn't right. For 2 years we serviced this salon without any issues but today were treated as if we did something wrong and talked down to. And this was from our regular tech while the owner stood there and observed.the 3 nails were fixed and painted with off white color, not even the same white that would match the other nails. We were too embarrassed by how we were treated to even say anything so we left. Needless to say I won't be supporting this business again.
Told the technician I was in for a dip , due to design he stated that he needed to use a brush. I mentioned multiple times I was allergic to acrylic and that is why I needed dips. He proceeded to put on the dip nails with the brush and purple liquid assured me that I was in good hands and would have no reactions. I am now going back tomorrow morning for an explanation on why I am now having an allergic reaction and realizing that he lied and used acrylic products. Itching and swelling is not a usual reaction to dip nails that I have had multiple times. I am very upset and will be demanding a refund along with an apology .
Just had a milk and honey no chip pedicure with Abby and it was amazing! She took her time and was so nice to chat with! Just booked my dip manicure with her very soon. I highly recommend Abby!
I’ve been here in the past and was satisfied, but today’s visit was not pleasing at all. My nails look like a child did them.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. nail tech was VERY VERY rude and impatient. color didn’t turn out to be the right one and gave me an attitude what i said i didn’t like it. refused to fix the way i wanted. refused to take it off. i will never be returning to this salon again. was a waste of my money to walk out with something i didn’t ask for.
I haven’t even had my acrylic set for a week and they’ve already begun to fall off, not even break. Got charged $80 for nails that are normally $50-60 so for them to be falling off is unacceptable and not worth it.
nails are good lin did a great job but everytime i come here i get the same exact shape length and design and they’re $60, today they were $75 for some reason and the only explanation they could give me is that my “design” was more curved than “normal french tip”
