I was a walk in. I asked for a cut that would be shorter on the sides and leave the top. While he did make it shorter, it was poorly done. The cut around my ears was uneven, one side was clearly cut too high and over all just didn’t look like a 37$ hair cut should. I understand that he may have made a mistake and cut more than he meant to. But he should have owned it and taken time to fix it.
At the end of my cut He didn’t give me a mirror to check that I was happy and when he charged my card the standard 30$ fee he tipped himself 6.50.
I learned a lot about what I want in a barber from this experience.
I will not be going back.
I went to another barber down the road who was able to fade this for me.
Walked in, still new to the area. From the jump, there was only 1 person waiting and 2 barbers. I explained I was a walk in. They apparently wanted an appointment. Got it, for future reference. Finally sat down and the old man barber tells me, next time make an appointment so you're in and out in no time. No one is waiting... He gives me a card so I can call him. Fine I get it after the 4th time of being told to make an appointment. I show him a picture of a medium skin fade. Mind you I'm from L.A we know what a good cut should look like and cost. He tries to make small talk after he realizes he's been alittle rude by repeating the phrase make an appointment. He does the cut in about 10mins. Doesn't line it up and i ask him politely "could you line it up in the front?" He gives me a confused look. He does it. I thank him, and he says that'll be 40$ I look at the pay chart it's $30 for a standard cut at that point he either charged me for not making a appointment or he gave himself a 10 dollar tip. Over all maybe it's cause I'm not the usual clientele and he probably thought its a sucker. I've seen good haristyles in the pics but mine wasnt even close to what I wanted 40$ for a half assesed medium skin fade. I guess this is "the best" that Grovetown has to offer. I'll be real, i wouldn't go back if it was free...
While my barber was friendly, I did not get a decent haircut for the price they charge ($20). My hairline was moved noticeably and unevenly. I couldnt tell until i washed off the black hair paint that was put on. I have cuts on the back of my head and the side of my face. Not at all the look is wanted for today's event. The fade itself was good, but I will not be returning.
We decided to try this Barber shop right across the street from her neighborhood. We called beforehand to explain to them what my son wanted and they said that yes they could do that. So my son walked over there by himself and got his haircut. He came back almost in tears. He only wanted an inch cut off and they cut off several and it is extremely uneven and very poorly done. He said that there were two people working on his hair and one was a student learning how to cut hair.
My teenage son doesn't even want to leave the house now. Now I have to find a COMPETENT individual to fix his hair.
I do not recommend this shop.
STILL IN SHOCK!!!!! Still in shock!!! I went in with my hair picked out shown in pic wanting my hair cut back down like pic with adidas jacket which I showed the barber and came left out with a bald fade.
Husband walked in and asked for a medium fade. Haircut he’s been getting regularly for four years so it really just needed to be touched up. He’s military and professional appearance is very important. Unfortunately, he left with a horribly botched fade that he was charged $10 extra for because “it’s not a hi fade”. Looks like a low fade and it’s overall just a really terrible job. I’m going to have to shave his head now and it will take us at least 6 months to recoup the growth up top so his hair can look right again. Barber had a horrible attitude and this is not a $42 cut. No where on the price menu does it detail an extra fee for a medium fade. 0/10
Today was my first time in this barbershop. The atmosphere was pleasant. They have TVs and music playing. There are a good number of barbers and there were still a few people waiting. That tells me something good about the quality of a shop! Extra kudos for the barbers having ring lights....attention to the details!!
I am satisfied with my cut and color. Very friendly place, they make you feel welcome from the moment you walk thru the door. Don’t let the name Barbershop chase you away, give it a try.
