Quick Facts About Mary McBride's Bar
Mary McBride's Bar has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. Firstly, customers appreciate the ambiance and atmosphere of the pub. It is described as a "sehr schöner Pub" and a "proper gem of a pub." The cozy and welcoming environment makes visitors feel at home and adds to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
The quality of the beer is also highly regarded by patrons. The comment "gutes Bier" indicates that the pub offers a selection of delicious beers that are appreciated by customers. This can attract beer enthusiasts and contribute to the overall appeal of the establishment.
The Game of Thrones door is a unique feature of Mary McBride's Bar and is highly praised by patrons. It is described as "der Hammer" and one of the best features of the pub. This door adds a sense of novelty and intrigue to the establishment, attracting fans of the popular TV show. This can be a significant draw for tourists and fans of Game of Thrones, contributing to the pub's overall popularity.
The proximity of the pub to the Caves is also mentioned as a positive aspect. While the comment assumes that Game of Thrones fans are familiar with the specific caves being referred to, it implies that the location of Mary McBride's Bar is favorable for those interested in visiting and exploring the caves. This location advantage can attract tourists and contribute to increased foot traffic for the pub.
The comments also highlight the service and staff of Mary McBride's Bar. The service is described as "netter Service," "very friendly and accommodating," and "excellent." This indicates that the staff is attentive, courteous, and provides a positive customer experience. Additionally, the patience exhibited by the staff when dealing with a large group is mentioned, further emphasizing their dedication to customer satisfaction.
The positive reviews extend to the food served at the pub. The Little Black Door, which is part of Mary McBride's Bar, is specifically mentioned as offering "phenomenal" food that is "well priced." The quality of the food and its affordability contribute to the positive dining experience for customers. The restaurant's commitment to providing excellent food is highlighted by the comment that describes the overall experience as "absolutely first class."
While Mary McBride's Bar has several strengths, there are potential weaknesses that should be considered. The comment "small place" suggests that the pub may not have a large seating capacity. This could result in limited availability during peak hours, potentially leading to long wait times or overcrowding. Additionally, the limited space may make it challenging for larger groups to find seating together comfortably.
It is also worth noting that the comments do not provide much information about the variety or quality of the menu items beyond the mention of the food being "phenomenal." While this suggests that the food is generally excellent, more specific details about the menu options would provide a better understanding of the pub's culinary offerings.
Another potential weakness is the limited geographic reach of Mary McBride's Bar. The comment "wish I lived a bit closer" implies that the pub may not be easily accessible for individuals who do not live in the immediate area. This could limit potential customers to primarily local residents and tourists who happen to be in the vicinity.
In conclusion, Mary McBride's Bar has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, including a welcoming atmosphere, quality beer, a unique Game of Thrones door, proximity to local attractions, excellent service, and phenomenal food. However, potential weaknesses include limited seating capacity, lack of detailed menu information, and limited accessibility for non-local customers. Overall, the strengths outweigh the weaknesses, making Mary McBride's Bar a highly regarded establishment.

Sehr schöner Pub und gutes Bier. Die Game of Thrones Tür ist der hammer und meiner Meinung nach einer der besten!
Hübsch eingerichtet, netter Service, gute Nähe zu den Caves (Got-Fans wissen welche...)
It was a great pleasure to visit this little bar. We were a family of eight and they made us feel at home with a very very good food, we strongly recommend this place. Also highlight the attention we were given and also the patience since we were a lot of people for a small place.
Loved this pub, the vibe, food and craic was mighty. Nestled in the heart of Cushendun, with all its beautiful setting, it was a proper gem of a pub with genuine warm patrons. The pub itself is quite contained but full of quirky people and things. There's a small front bar accomadating people chilling and supping with ease. The restaurant serves the tastiest food priced very reasonable ( Steak sandwich..and roast beef dinner..£24). Service was fast and efficient, very friendly and accommodating. Everyone looked happy and relaxed. Beautiful drive along the coast and a wonderful meal to replenish and relax, great place ,great setting. Mary McBrides is vibrant, fun and friendly, with great food and grand beer. ????
We arrived by chance in this typical pub yesterday evening! We did not expect to spend a memorable evening with the locals and the staff! Guys, core memories have been created thanks to this incredible team! Rory was a master who kept us dancing until the wee hours of the morning! Thank you guys!
