Quick Facts About Mega Nails
Mega Nails has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, they have a wide range of design options and can create any design that a customer shows them a picture of. This shows that they have a good level of skill and creativity when it comes to nail art.
Additionally, the establishment is described as being clean and having a spa-like atmosphere. This is important for customers as it creates a pleasant and relaxing environment for them to get their nails done. The fact that they serve wine is also seen as a positive, as it adds to the overall experience of getting a pedicure.
The salon is also commended for being able to move fast and efficiently while still taking the time to do nails to the customer's liking. This is important as customers do not want to spend excessive amounts of time getting their nails done, especially if they are on a tight schedule. The mention of getting in and out quickly shows that the salon is efficient in this regard.
Another strength mentioned is the level of customer service. Some comments mention that the employees are nice and friendly, and go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. They remember customers' names and ask about their families, showing a level of personal care that sets them apart from other salons.
However, despite these strengths, there are also several weaknesses identified. One of the main weaknesses mentioned is the inconsistency in the quality of the work. One customer mentions that they have had two bad experiences back to back with different technicians. One experience was with a technician who was aggressive and didn't know how to do a certain design, while another experience involved multiple technicians struggling to complete a design and resulting in poor results.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of attention to detail in some cases. Customers mentioned that their nails were different sizes and shapes, and that the designs were not executed correctly. This lack of attention to detail is a significant issue as customers are paying a high price and expect their nails to be perfect.
There are also mentions of pricing being higher than expected, with one customer paying $70 for a set of black nails with grey lines. This is seen as overpriced by the customer, and they did not feel that the quality of the work justified the price.
Furthermore, there are mentions of nails hurting after being done at the salon. This is a significant issue as nails should not cause pain or discomfort after being done. It is possible that the technicians were not properly trained or using the correct techniques, resulting in nails that are uncomfortable to wear.
Another weakness mentioned is the communication issue, specifically with the male owner. One customer mentions that they had a bad experience with the owner being rude and dismissing their concerns. This type of behavior towards customers is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole.
In conclusion, Mega Nails has several strengths such as a wide range of design options, a clean and spa-like atmosphere, efficient service, and friendly staff. However, they also have weaknesses including inconsistency in quality, lack of attention to detail, high pricing for the quality of work, discomfort after getting nails done, and communication issues with the owner. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order for the salon to improve its reputation and provide a satisfactory experience for customers.
Best TL Reviews
I really don’t want to leave a bad review. The employees seem nice and their work isn’t terrible but it isn’t very good. I have gotten nails here twice, both with different people. The first time was a young man who was very aggressive with my nails and didn’t know what he was doing. He did ombré on me and used a really weird method in doing so, when I came back I had a lady who sat beside my old artist. He had a customer and she complained about her ombré, it looked very bubbly and he said for her to go to another artist. How does a nail artist not know how to do ombré? Anyways.. my lady today was very nice which makes me so sad to leave a bad review. She was gentle and quick about the process but I was disappointed. My nails are all different sizes and shapes, the design is smaller on one hand than the other, one of my designs she didn’t color in correctly so it’s half scribbled on the bottom, and my nails hurt for some reason. They hurt to touch things and scratch. Not to mention, I paid $70. It was black nails with grey lines that they charged me $70 for, way overpriced. I paid and left because they were about to close and I was exhausted from the day but I wasn’t happy with the price or the experience. The 3 photos are from today because I never took a picture of my last experience. My last picture with the red is what I had asked for but with different colors. I forgot to mention that my first set I got done December 23rd and they split in half and one came completely off. It was only 10 days and they already were messed up. So 10 days ago I paid $60 for my set, I hoped to have a more experienced lady which I thought I did so went back today and paid $70 for another disappointing set. I’ve given this establishment $130 for basically pieces of plastic glued to my nails.
Mega nails is great. They can do just about any design if you show them a picture of what you want. Very clean establishment. I think they move pretty fast with getting you in and out as well. Even though they work fast they take time to do your nails to your liking. They also serve wine which is big plus for me while I’m getting a pedicure relaxing in the massage chair!
Came in I was seated and started my full set immediately. Showed nail tech photo of shape and simple design i wanted. Application was fine but the filing and sanding could definitely been better I had to ask for the edges around my cuticle to be redone 3 times due to the acrylic being over it. I also had to ask for the underneath the tops to be drilled to get off the access. I was moved to another chair for paint and design. And it was ehh.. I asked to change design she said it was already dried on so she’d have to start over.. I’m not a hard client to please but for 75$ I want it done right. In all I won’t be back for my fill in I felt like it was a rushed experience and I know they were busy but I’m paying almost a 100$ after tip for my nails I want them perfect also didn’t oil or lotion my hands for me or offer afterwards
Oh yes! Happiness awaits you here! Quick, budget friendly and great work. I've had several excellent manicures, pedicures and yes, eye brow waxing but let's keep the eyebrow thing to ourselves.
So their English may not be the greatest but who cares. The mood color changing gel mani is a must plus it's so cool to watch your nails change colors.
I have been searching for a nail salon over the past year and I have found that salon today at Mega Nails. I walked in and was immediately greeted and directed to the nail bar where you pick your color. I had a few colors in mind and my nail tech Dana (Danielle) I believe, was happy to assist me and help me to chose the right color. She did a fantastic job on my nails and I will definitely be going back in 2 weeks for my fill in. The salon is magnificent with its decor and they offer you a beverage while you are being pampered. It is well worth the money spent
Won’t be back again. Two bad experiences back to back. One experience with who I believe is the male owner of the store, as he was extremely rude after he told me I was choosing wrong and that I didn’t know what I was talking about.. which is perfectly fine, expect for the fact that I had gotten the exact same color two times prior (I’m a woman of habit). So I had with been lied to about the color I was getting, or some issue by either him or my decision that wasn’t being made clear. But, you should never be rude to a customer as well as embarrass them in the front of the store. It was at a point that I as well as the other women I was with were ready to leave when the women that worked there came around to smooth over the situation. They were extremely nice and it was apparent they felt bad about the situation. A another instance with a nail design that I was told “wasn’t a problem” and then I was passed around because no one was sure how to tackle it. Wasn’t anything crazy, just like work. I respect that they gave forth effort but I ended up paying for poor results done by multiple people… after waiting for over an hour to be seen with a reservation (I was with a bridal party) while people who were walking in were able to be seated before me.
Look No Further!!! You have found the BEST multi-service nail salon in Statesville. Always ultra clean, spa like atmosphere, friendly and convenient. They can handle large groups. Kids are welcome. I have visited other salons and none compare. All of that sounds good, but I go back because it is important to them to know their customers. They always remember my name, ask about my family and if I am not satisfied, they go out of their way to make it right. You are not just visiting a business, but a family.
Ken and Tanya are so nice and they run the salon well. I have seen them for almost 10 years. Alex is the best with my pedis. He is very accommodating and SO sweet. I usually get to see Henry for my fills or when he is busy I get to see Kevin. Both are very good at making sure I am happy. Their service is first quality so of COURSE I am always walking out a very satisfied client. 5 stars ????for sure!
