Quick Facts About Millers Market
Millers Market Place is a popular ice cream shop and store located in Houston, Alaska. Based on the comments provided, there are several strengths and weaknesses that can be observed.
One of the strengths of Millers Market Place is the fun atmosphere it provides. Commenters have mentioned that it is a fun place to grab an ice cream and that there is a fun little area outside to stretch your legs during a long drive. This indicates that the shop has created a pleasant and enjoyable environment for its customers.
Another strength mentioned by commenters is the oversized servings of ice cream. Multiple comments praised the large portion sizes, with one person mentioning that they had leftovers for the next day. This is likely a draw for customers who are looking for value for their money.
Fast service is another strength of Millers Market Place. One commenter noted that they were able to get their ice cream quickly despite a busy period, which suggests that the staff is efficient and able to handle high demand.
The variety of food options available at Millers Market Place is also mentioned as a strength. Commenters mentioned delicious burgers, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and ice cream/soft serve. This indicates that the shop caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences, making it a versatile and appealing choice for customers.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the bathroom is mentioned as a positive aspect. A tidy bathroom indicates that the shop takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously, which can contribute to a positive customer experience.
On the other hand, one weakness that is mentioned by commenters is the high prices of the ice cream. Multiple comments bring up the expensive cost of the ice cream, with one person mentioning a cost of $10 or more for a cone with two scoops. This high pricing could potentially deter some customers, especially those who are on a budget or looking for more affordable options.
Despite the high prices, it is worth noting that comments also highlight the fair prices based on the serving size. This suggests that while the ice cream may be expensive, customers feel that they are getting their money's worth due to the large portions.
Another potential weakness is the wait time. One commenter mentioned that there were several people ahead of them and it took 8 minutes to get their ice cream. While this may not be a significant issue, it can be a drawback for customers who are looking for a quick stop.
Overall, Millers Market Place has several strengths such as a fun atmosphere, oversized servings, fast service, a variety of food options, and cleanliness. However, the high prices and potential wait time could be perceived as weaknesses by some customers. Despite these weaknesses, the positive comments about the delicious treats, warm staff, and rustic Alaskan vibe indicate that Millers Market Place has a strong reputation and is popular among locals and visitors alike.

This is a fun place to grab an ice cream. It is a bit pricey - $5-7 a cone. Great photo stop and fun little area outside to stretch your legs during a long drive north or south!
Folks keep complaining that the prices, bit I've not heard complaints about the serving size....
Walked in to 6 folks ahead of us, not counting a half dozen kids in town with them ... In 8 minutes, we were back in our car with a 'small' cone for my wife and I.
And the sizes are epic. We ate all we wanted, and both have leftovers for tomorrow....(2am counts as tomorrow)
Fast service, good choices, and oversized servings....with decent prices based on what you actually receive.
We will definitely be back.
Delicious burgers, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Not to mention the amazing ice cream/soft serve options. AND the bathroom was tidy.
An Alaskan classic and must stop when heading north. The place is rustic and VERY Alaskan. I hope it never changes! From the mossy fountains to the massive ice cream scoops, we love Millers. ????
Stopped here because it was recommended to us by some of the natives living here for some ice cream. Good ice cream selection and fair prices. It's also a store and they sell food. Good pit stop.
Great and delicious treats, especially how tasty their ice cream is! Not to mention, the staff is warm, polite and very sweet. I will definitely visit this shop the next time we visit Alaska. Highly recommended!
Had one scoop each of Carmel Caribou (favorite) and cookie dough ice cream in cone with chocolate around the top. Was delicious but expensive ($10+).
