Quick Facts About Modern Nails
Modern Nails Place has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One strength of Modern Nails Place is that they have a talented staff who can provide excellent service. One customer mentions that Sven and Danny did an awesome job and that they were wonderful. Another customer praises the work of Gia, King, Steven, and Vivian, stating that they can always count on them to get their nails right. This indicates that the salon has skilled employees who can deliver satisfactory results.
Another strength of Modern Nails Place is their ability to accommodate walk-in customers. A customer states that they walked in and were seated right away, indicating that the salon has efficient processes in place to handle walk-in clients. This can be a significant advantage for individuals who prefer spontaneity and convenience.
However, there are several weaknesses pointed out by the customers. One major weakness is the inconsistency in pricing and the lack of transparency regarding the charges. Multiple customers mention instances where they were charged differently from what was written or advertised. One customer shares their experience of being asked to pay $145 for services that should have totaled $115. This inconsistency in pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a sense of being ripped off.
Additionally, several customers mention issues with the quality of service provided at Modern Nails Place. One customer states that they were charged $75 for a pedicure but it was not worth the price as the nail job was never great. Another customer mentions that their daughter suffered sores around her nails due to a technician's mistake. These incidents highlight a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for customer satisfaction.
Another weakness of Modern Nails Place is the poor communication and unprofessionalism exhibited by the staff. One customer describes an experience where they were ignored for over an hour, given incorrect information about the type of polish, and had their nails left in acetone for an extended period. This lack of communication and professionalism can lead to a frustrating and unpleasant experience for customers.
Furthermore, there seems to be a lack of consistency in delivering customer requests. One customer shares an experience where they showed a picture of what they wanted but received something completely different. This inconsistency in meeting customer expectations suggests a lack of attention to detail and care for customer preferences.
Overall, Modern Nails Place has strengths in terms of talented staff and the ability to accommodate walk-ins. However, the salon faces significant weaknesses in terms of inconsistent pricing, poor service quality, lack of communication, and failing to meet customer expectations. These weaknesses can greatly impact customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I stopped coming here a while back. I only use this place when all the rest are closed or full and can’t do my nails.
How much you pay for your services will depend on how much the older lady that works there (Valerie?) says you owe when you get to the register.
She has charged me as much as $75 for a pedicure. The “deluxe” which is priced at $45 but always costs more when you check out consists of them rubbing hot stones for about 30 seconds on each leg. Often the polish is “new” so it’s a bad texture or not solid color (or that’s the excuse I’ve been given) And to be honest, it’s never been a great nail job.
It’s unconscionable that you would be charged differently than what is written or advertised. They can do what they want because it is their business, but they have a bad name. Others have told me they had similar experiences. Be careful to talk to them about the price of their services before they start. How much you pay will depend on her mood and they are not the nicest people.
The service here was absolutely amazing!!! They did an awesome job as well! Sven and Danny are absolutely wonderful!!! Please check them out!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!
I took my daughter and niece to this place yesterday, will never return! I got the $45 pedicure, my niece had a $20 gel polish (she’s 6) and my daughter got the acrylic set with gel polish. Upon payment I was asked to pay $145. I have called 3 times today at separate times to ask what each fee was and it totaled $115….. this place is a complete rip off!!! I would give 0 stars but that option isn’t available!!! Not to mention every since finger on my daughters hands have sores all the way around the nail from where he nicked her….. nice place if you want to over pay for a horrible job!
Upon arriving at the the store a little after 12, we told the man at the front desk we were getting nails done for two people. He pointed to the check in device and walked off. We proceeded to check in and sit down. We were ignored for around an hour before being told to sit down at the nail desk. We sat there for an additional 15 minutes or so minutes before someone handed us nail samples and walked off while we were trying to ask if they were gel or dip. My friend ended up shortly afterwards being told to change chairs. We ended up asking someone else working there how much longer and they said “soon.” Shortly after, we learn that the nail samples given were gel not dipped as we had asked. So, we got to waste more time choosing our colors all over again. Around 1:45, someone finally started working on my nails. However, while removing my previous polish, they told me to move over and let him do someone else’s nails (who was not at the at the store when we had first got there) that walked right in and sat down in middle of him doing my nails No explanation was given. All I was told was to move down. I would not have done so had I realized they were going to stop working on my nails. They then proceeded to make me sit with my nails dipped in a bowl full of acetone. My friend ended up finishing having her previous polish removed and asked that I go ahead of her as today was my birthday. By this point, my hands were COVERED in the black polish that had been being removed. The new person started to work on removing the remaining polish then asked the length I wanted of my nails. I said the same length as my shortest nail. He then clipped all my others. THEN, he asked what shape I wanted. After telling him oval, he said I should have told him that before he cut then because he cut them too short for that. I ask him about how to get all the black polish off my hands, and he finds it funny and half heartily removes some of it with even more acetone. He eventually asks us if we want drinks. I say yes, and ask for a coke. He walks off, and I never did get my coke. By the end of it, my nails were different lengths, multiple nails are very streaky. It’s around 2:40 by this point. I don’t have the energy to point out all the issues as I did have birthday plans and this was supposed to be a relaxing morning. My poor friend who treated me to this had yet to even have her nails done even though other techs were working on other customers who had arrived AFTER us. She’s frustrated and just told them to not worry about hers and let us pay. We originally decided to go because only two nail places in town are open on Sundays. As I don’t have a regular nail place I frequent, it was a great chance for them to earn a loyal customer. Instead, I will never go back. I will never recommend. And, even if it’s a Sunday and everywhere else is closed, it’s not worth it. Incredibly poor communication with customers. We had 0 clue what was going on the entire time because so little was said to us. I still don’t understand why one tech stopped doing my nails halfway through. The whole experience was 100% unprofessional. And, there were no apologizes or accommodations made because they genuinely did not see the issue. They even had the nerve to ask my friend if she’d come back tomorrow to have her nails finished. While the timing of it all was frustrating, I would not have minded waiting if I knew what I was getting into. The pure unprofessional way things were done and the lack of communication put a huge damper on what’s supposed to be a day of celebration. Even better was that the guy who checked us out told me I should have a birthday reward for 15% off and when I told him I didn’t receive a text with one he said oh, use it next time once you get it. Well, there won’t be a next time.
The first time I came here it was amazing, I was incredibly satisfied with what I got. Then I went another time and showed a picture of what I wanted, and got nothing like that. The man ignored how I said I wanted ombré and just did it clear. There is a picture of what I wanted and what I got.
I can always count on Modern to get me right! Gia, King, Steven, and Vivian are the best!
I had a great experience at the Nail Salon. I walked in and was seated right away. Justin did a great job with the my S&S/ Dip Powder nails. He was helpful with picking the color and even reassuring when I thought the color was to bright. He took his time and made sure they were up to my expectations. I would definitely go back again. Thanks Modern Nails.
king did an amazing job! he did it just like the picture i showed him. definitely recommend him<3
