Quick Facts About Parkway House Family Restaurant
Parkway House Family Restaurant has a variety of strengths and weaknesses that can be identified through the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one positive aspect highlighted is the variety of the menu. This is seen as a noteworthy feature, as it provides a wide range of options for customers to choose from. Additionally, the comment mentions that the restaurant has a bar, which may appeal to customers looking for an alcoholic beverage with their meal. Another strength mentioned is the friendly service. This indicates that the staff members are welcoming and hospitable towards customers, creating a positive dining experience. The cleanliness of the place also receives praise, implying that the restaurant takes hygiene seriously. Lastly, it is noted that the restaurant allows reservations for large groups. This is beneficial for customers who want to plan events or gatherings.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one recurring complaint mentioned in the comments is the issue with cold food. Multiple customers reported that their orders, including baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, ribs, and even steak, were cold upon arrival. This raises concerns about the quality and consistency of the food preparation and delivery process. Furthermore, the comment indicates that the staff did not seem to care about the cold food issue, stating that they attributed it to a large party that was expected. This lack of responsibility and concern for customer satisfaction can diminish the overall dining experience. Another area of weakness highlighted is the service. While some comments state that the service was friendly and satisfactory, others mention instances of distracted or confused waitstaff. This inconsistency in service quality can be frustrating for customers. Additionally, the comment about the cook not using soap while washing hands raises concerns about food safety and hygiene standards.
In terms of the food itself, there are mixed reviews. Positive comments mention delicious dishes such as beef tips, marinated chicken strips, and Reuben sandwiches. This indicates that the restaurant is capable of delivering tasty food that satisfies customers. However, there are also negative reviews regarding certain items on the menu. Complaints include poorly cooked crinkle fries, sauce with a funky taste, and a menu that tries to incorporate too many disparate items, leading to a decrease in quality. These negative reviews suggest that the restaurant may need to focus on improving the consistency and execution of certain dishes.
Other issues mentioned include long waiting times, loud ringing phones, potholes in the parking lot, and the presence of bones in chicken salad. While these may seem like minor issues individually, they can collectively contribute to an overall negative dining experience and impact customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, Parkway House Family Restaurant possesses strengths such as a variety of menu options, a bar, friendly service, and cleanliness. However, weaknesses include issues with cold food, inconsistent service, potential hygiene concerns, and certain menu items not meeting customer expectations. The restaurant may benefit from addressing these weaknesses to improve the overall dining experience and maintain customer loyalty.

Variety of menu, bar, friendly service, clean place. Can make reservations for large groups.
When my order came my baked potato was cold taste like it was premade. Steak was cold, cooked right tasted good. My boyfriend mashed potatoes was cold, ribs cold.
Staff acted like they didn't care. Stated that they had a big party to come in that may be why our food was cold.. if I pay 20.00 for a steak it needs to come out hot. Good luck is all I can say.
This place was a pleasant surprise! With very few cars ever being in the parking lot and a huge menu, I was expecting far less. Evrrything me and my boyfriend ordered was more than good it was delicious! I had the beef tips with northern beans and creamed potatoes and my boyfriend had marinated chicken strips over rice with okra. I made sure to save part of mine to take home for a snack and it was just as good heated up. We are new to the small town of Cherryville. With us just buying a home here, we aren't going anywhere soon. I was worried we wouldn't have much food to chose from around here but with their huge menu, we will have plenty new foods to eat for a long time. I will be posting pics of the menu and I'll probably have to take six to cover the whole breakfast, lunch, dinner!
I am in love with this place. Rarely is the food bad. Today I ate the best Rueben I think I've had in years and I love ruebens. Great food. Great service. Thank you.
I have worked in many kitchens, been to many places. I have never experienced crinkle fries that are this lifeless. I can get a bag of fries from the store, bake them in an oven and have them more delicious than anything on my plate.
The sauce served to my group tasted funky- nearly as bad as eating a clove of garlic.
Service was not the worst. ????
The phones even ring extra loud to wake up the customers that fell asleep from waiting 30+ minutes for food.
I am seriously concerned about food temperatures in the restaurant. Almost every plate that came to my group was room temperature. - If one allows food to be room temperature when served to the customer then what else is acceptable?
...
I don't know what is worse, having fries that do not taste good or having cheese stuffed shells, veal, and hot dogs on the same menu. This menu is massive. I am sure it is the reason the quality is not here.
Fair food at fair price. Our waitress was either distracted or having a bad day. She was polite but was in a state of confusion that actually became funny at the table. She didn't know which table or group ordered what even though she wrote all our orders on a pad. At first i thought we were on a hidden camera show. It didn't make the food cold from time but her confusion was funny. My spicy chicken sandwich bottom bun was melted in the moisture in the plate and had to be eaten with a fork. No way to pick it up, but the chicken was crispy and good. Lack of ice in the tea with refill made room temperature drink. The parking lot has potholes that were challenging for my 4x4.
Place appears clean and the staff is very nice. Food wasn't bad. My only problem with the place is a big one. The cook was in the restroom at the same time as me and when she went to leave the bathroom and "washed" her hands she did not use soap. I find this very nasty. I can't see if she washed her hands again once she got in the kitchen but I'm pretty sure I know the answer if she didn't even try in the restroom. I will not be returning. FYI the sign is posted in the restroom for a reason!
Went for breakfast. This was our first time eating here. The food was amazing. The waitress was very friendly and on top of keeping our table clear of empty plates. Didn't feel like we were being rushed. The only thing that I would have to complain about would be the empty table next to ours that stayed dirty the whole time we were there (about an hour). Definitely coming back.
It use to be good.. now it's awful! The staff are rude and the food is disgusting. We had take out menus until a few days ago .. I threw them out because we ordered from there husband picked up staff was rude. He gets home we sit down to eat and my chicken salad has bones in it and taste horrible..hamburgers were over cooked and my grandson grilled cheese was burnt and fries were cold and old! So $30.00 in food in the trash along with their take out menus because we will not be going back! And they would have zero stars from me but it wasn't an option.
