2. Limited styling options: One customer mentioned that the barbers at Troy's Barber Shop struggled with styling and were only good at basic cuts such as "mom's bowl cuts." This implies that if someone is looking for more complex or trendy hairstyles, they may not find the expertise they need at this barber shop.
3. Lack of diversity: While some customers mentioned seeing people of all ages at the shop, one customer specifically mentioned that the crowd was mostly older white men. This may indicate that Troy's Barber Shop may not appeal to a diverse range of customers or may not offer specific styles or services that cater to a more diverse clientele.
In conclusion, Troy's Barber Shop has several strengths, including consistency, experience, professionalism, value for money, customer service, and expertise in flat-top haircuts. However, it also has some weaknesses, such as a cash-only policy, limited styling options, and a potential lack of diversity in its customer base. Despite these weaknesses, the overall sentiment from customers is overwhelmingly positive, which suggests that Troy's Barber Shop is a reliable and reputable place for haircuts, particularly for those seeking a military flat top or a traditional barber shop experience.

My husband has been gettig a military flat top for years from Troy and & Troy gets it done to perfection every time. My son doesn't get a flat top but the cut & trim looks so good on him. Five star rating for this barbershop. Jane St Amant
Just had my 2nd visit. Andrew had cut my hair both times and did a fantastic job.
Don't take credit debit cards . Is a bust.. can't style at all .. like getting moms bowl cuts and uneven cuts .. not worth 20 bucks for sure ..
They do not accept credit cards. Cash, check or Venmo only
I have been getting my hair cut by Troy - previously Ginger - since 2005. I have never had but one less than stellar hair cut, and this was due to some miscommunication on my behalf. In addition, I do not visit as often as I should due to my schedule, making it difficult to get my hair correct for a flat-top. Troy and his entire staff treat me professionally at all times, the Barber Shop is always clean, and the value far exceeds the price. If you are seeking a good flat-top, Troy's Barber Shop provides the best flat-top I have found in Baton Rouge.
Such a quaint little barbershop in Baton Rouge. You can only experience this kind of shop in small rural towns nowadays. I really appreciated talking to Sherrie and highly recommend a cut from any of the barbers here. Going on a date? The fine people here will hook you up!
Troy is by far one of the best Barbers in Baton Rouge. Makes you feel welcome with a great conversation, as well as being very consistent with his haircuts. I always look forward to going when i need a cut.
Ever since my old barber passed a few years ago I wasn't able to find a good replacement for the job for quite some time. I ended up going to a number of different places before I came across Troy's Barber Shop. I've been going to him for about a year now and I've been very satisfied every time. Troy is very thorough and knows exactly what he is doing. I always trust his intuition and if he suggests that something will make my style look a little better, I always tell him to go for it, and it always looks good. The crowd is mostly older white men, but I see people of all ages in there and I'm 22 years old. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a new long term barber.
