Quick Facts About morridge oats + coffee

Morridge Oats + Coffee Place is a coffee shop that is praised for its unique and retro-inspired decor and atmosphere. Commenters often mention how the interior design transports them back to the 60s/70s in a good way, making it one of the best looking coffee shops they've been to. The ambiance and aesthetic appeal of the place is a significant strength for Morridge Oats + Coffee Place, as it creates a memorable and enjoyable experience for customers.
While the decor may be one of the standout features of Morridge Oats + Coffee Place, the quality of the coffee itself is not as impressive according to some commenters. Several customers described the coffee as "OK but not spectacular" and expected the drinks to match the high standards set by the atmosphere. The underwhelming quality of the coffee can be seen as a weakness for the establishment, as it does not fully meet customer expectations.
Pricing is another aspect that is mentioned in the comments. Some customers feel that the cost of their two small sandwiches and two coffees came in under 20 pounds, which they consider quite expensive considering the quality of the coffee. This perception of the prices being too high for the coffee quality can be seen as a weakness, as customers may feel that they are not getting good value for their money.
In terms of service, commenters generally have positive things to say, mentioning that the staff is friendly and welcoming. However, a few customers note that the service lacked a bit in communication effort. This could be seen as a weakness for the coffee shop, as effective communication with customers is crucial in providing a satisfactory experience. Improving communication skills and ensuring that staff members are attentive and responsive to customer needs would help to enhance the overall service quality.
The food options at Morridge Oats + Coffee Place receive mixed feedback in the comments. On one hand, some customers rave about the creative and delicious toppings they offer for their porridge. The toppings are described as fresh and luxurious, and there is a good amount of choice with seasonal menu changes. These positive comments highlight the strength of the coffee shop in terms of its unique and satisfying food options.
On the other hand, a few comments mention specific food items like salads and coffee drinks. One customer had a delicious salad with salmon, while another enjoyed a good chai latte. However, one commenter stated that their latte could have been hotter. It seems that while the porridge receives high praise, there may be some inconsistencies in the quality and satisfaction of other food and beverage options. This inconsistency could be seen as a weakness, as it shows that the coffee shop's offerings are not consistently meeting customer expectations.
Additionally, it is worth noting that several commenters mention the convenient location and availability of free WiFi at Morridge Oats + Coffee Place. This is seen as a positive aspect, as it caters to customers who are looking for a comfortable and productive space to catch up on work or spend some time. Providing a welcoming and conducive environment for work or leisure is definitely a strength of the coffee shop.
In conclusion, Morridge Oats + Coffee Place has several strengths and weaknesses based on customer comments. The standout strengths include the exceptional decor and atmosphere, the unique and delicious porridge toppings, and the welcoming and productive ambiance. On the other hand, weaknesses are seen in the average quality of the coffee, the perception of high prices for the coffee offered, the occasional lack of communication effort in service, and potential inconsistencies in the quality and satisfaction of certain food and beverage options. These strengths and weaknesses provide valuable insight for the coffee shop to continue improving and satisfying its customers.

Probably one of the best decorated coffee shops I have ever been to. It looks like a time machine back to the 60s/70s. Truly gorgeous. The coffee was OK but not spectacular. Two small sandwiches and two coffees came just under 20 pounds. Very expensive for the quality of the coffee. Service was friendly enough but lacked a bit in communication
effort. The sandwiches were good as well. I just think the drinks quality should match the atmosphere.
Love this place! They are always so welcoming and the interior feels like you've gone back in time to the 60/70 and in a good way.
What they do to the humble porridge is out of this world! The toppings are so fresh and luxurious. There's a good amount of choice and they change their menu seasonally.
I was so happy to stumble upon this cute coffee shop. Loved the atmosphere and my caffe latte. A great use of the space which also included an upper seating area. I opted for the swinging chair next to the look out window. It was a lovely experience. Just wish my latte was a tad bit hotter.
Takes me 30 minutes to travel here but I'd gladly do it for the perfection that is this place. The most homely, warm, productive and cosy atmosphere, incredibly kind staff, and their menu is really unique and satisfying no matter what order. ( honey porridge is my favourite :) ) I've been visiting here weekly and I think the only change I'd make is to visit here more often!
Popped in here the other day to catch up on some work and a bite to eat. I had the salad bowl with salmon and it was delicious and a really good chai latte. Lovely cafe with good free wifi. The staff were really friendly and attentive too. Can’t wait to go back and try upstairs.
Holy moly, this is good food! Try the compote, ya get honey, almond butter, seeds and cinnamon - it's actual magic! The coffee is *excellent* and the staff are lovely. The priced are very reasonable as well. It really needs to experienced to be understood. ????
I had been wanting to visit for a while, ever since I saw them with their own stand inside the Great Western Arcade - and now I finally got the chance!
I ordered the Baked British Apples, Salted Date Caramel, Toasted Hazelnuts, Oozy Dark Chocolate, Apple Blossom (Vegan) porridge for the morning before work, and what a great warm breakfast to start the day with. After mixing everything together it was absolutely delicious - a nice touch of sweetness along with the caramel and dark chocolate complimented it all.
The service was fantastic - very quick, friendly and welcoming. The price point (£5) is worth. An extra added bonus is that their takeaway packaging and cutlery is recyclable. I would definitely recommend and shall visit again to try another flavour. Glad to see they now have their own store :)
One of the most delicious coffee I’ve ever had. The staff are amazing friendly and helpful.
I wish I could come to have another flat white.
