The Sunday dinners are described as nice but with small portions for the price, especially when compared to other alternatives in the area.
Another negative comment recounts a disappointing experience during a Christmas dinner. The starters are described as small compared to previous visits, and the main meal was cold. The comment mentions that they were given only half of one gravy boat for a table of four people, and when they asked for more, the response from the waitress was perceived as rude. The vegetables were cold, and there was not enough for the group. Additionally, six members of the party experienced food poisoning the following day. The management's response is criticized as dismissive and unhelpful.
In conclusion, Murray's Place received positive comments regarding its delicious food and cocktails, reasonable prices, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff. However, there are negative comments that point out weaknesses such as inconsistent food quality, small portions for the price, and a disappointing experience during a Christmas dinner. Delicious food and cocktails on tap; quite strong and tasty too. Priced very well and the cocktails were definitely worth the 2 for £12 cost. Lovely bar and nice seating and table spacing, far enough to not get intermingled in other guests conversations, making the atmosphere of the place very chill. Easy location to find and plenty of parking nearby
Visited this place for a family birthday party last Friday. Everything from start to finish was excellent. Staff friendly and efficient and the food was very good indeed. Special mention for Sabrina who looked after us superbly. Well worth travelling from the Midlands
What a lovley little gem found, came here in search of really good food and cooked by someone passionate about food, well we were not disappointed, beautiful flavors the bar staff were lovley and friendly and warm, professional we will defo be returning on our next visit!.....
Okay food, but not really up to standard for the price. I felt like the menu was made up of extravagant dishes that weren’t executed in the best way. The steak was average quality at a premium price for the area and the curry wasn’t particularly special for the price. The desserts were nice when they were homemade, but in my experience, when there is nothing homemade available, they charge the same price for store bought quality as a substitute. The Sunday dinners were really nice, but the portions were quite poor for the price paid, considering other alternatives in the area for Sunday lunch. Overall okay food for the area and quite a lovely atmosphere, so not all bad.
Outstanding food, lovely place, staff was so welcoming, definitely will be back
As always fantastic food and a lovely lunch. Great food, lovely staff and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to Ryan for looking after us on my wife's birthday.

We had a Christmas dinner here. We were a group of 12 people. The starters were quite small compared to previous visits. And our main meal was cold, we were give half/ of one gravey boat on a table of four. When we asked for more the waitress was sturn some may say rude with her response. That one bowl of gravey was all that came with the meal and it served three people. The veg was cold and between four of us we didn't have enough. Less than a spoon of each item and the fourth person we'll had to scrape scrappes from other pots in our group. The meat was beautiful and tasty and the second bowl of gravey I purchased was full and hot which was nice. Unfortunately on this occasion they failed us miserably. The following day six off our party came down with food poisoning.
The management response was weird!
"So what nobody else has complained"
So theirs not a lot you can do.
Well
I highly recommend you avoid this place!
