Quick Facts About Mystique Nails

Mystique Nails has several strengths, as mentioned in the comments. The new ownership, specifically Lena, has made significant improvements to the salon. Lena is described as professional, courteous, and conscientious about ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for customers. She has updated the space, including expanding the collection of nail polishes and improving the overall appearance of the salon. The staff are also praised for their professionalism and quality service. The salon is compared to a spa setting without the high prices typically associated with spas. Many customers have been repeat visitors, indicating a level of satisfaction with their experiences. The convenience of the salon's location is also mentioned as a positive point.
However, there are also some weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer mentions a negative experience with a particular nail technician, describing poor work, impatience, and a lack of response to questions. There is also a lack of communication and apology from the new owner when the customer expresses dissatisfaction with their nails. This lack of responsiveness can create a sense of discomfort and may lead customers to seek out other options.
Another customer shares a negative experience with booking appointments. Despite calling ahead to make appointments, their names were not found in the salon's appointment book, leading to confusion and potential disorganization. Additionally, during the appointment, the customer and their daughter felt pressured into paying for extra services. The quality of the manicure and pedicure was also subpar, with inconsistencies in nail shape and application. The customer and their daughter both experienced discomfort and bleeding during the appointment. The overall cost was deemed excessive for the services provided.
A few other customers express dissatisfaction with the pricing and quality of the services. One customer mentions that their $55 pedicure felt rushed and overpriced, while another mentions that their nail dip broke just two days after the service. These experiences indicate a lack of consistency in service quality and possible issues with pricing.
Despite these negative experiences, some customers still had positive things to say about the salon. One customer mentions a relaxing and friendly experience, with clean facilities and great service. Another customer highlights a specific nail technician, Mia, as providing excellent quality and service.
In summary, Mystique Nails has strengths in terms of improvements made under new ownership, professionalism of staff, and comparisons to a spa-like experience at affordable prices. However, weaknesses are evident in terms of poor work from certain technicians, lack of communication and responsiveness from the owner, disorganization in appointment booking, pressure to pay for additional services, and inconsistencies in service quality and pricing. Addressing these weaknesses will be crucial for the salon to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

I can’t say enough great things about this nail salon! I was a customer in the past; prior to the new ownership - Lena is very professional, courteous, and conscientious about ensuring the environment is very organized, clean, comfortable & relaxing to customers. She’s already done amazingly at fully updating the space - from expanding the collection of nail polishes to all new stations & painting. The staff are all professional and provide quality service. It seems everyone works well together as a team. My usual nail technician, “Le-le” (not sure of the spelling) does a wonderful job and is always very pleasant. I’ve been to a lot of places for nail services. I’d compare this one to a spa setting; without the exorbitant pricing. I’ve been 3-4 times now and certainly intend to keep going!
We live very close by and thought we'd try this place out. First time I went in with my daughter and we had a great experience and felt very welcome. Second time I went in for a custom full powder set and Chris did a very great job delivering and I'm a month into my nail set and they are still on ! Can't wait to go back ???????? highly recommend this nail salon.
I've been going to this nail shop for almost two years. It's now under new ownership. I will never go there again to get serviced. One of the nail techs does poor work, he's very impatient, doesn't respond when you ask him a questions, I know it may be a English barrier, but it makes me very uncomfortable. The new owner was right next to him in the midst of me asking him questions, & heard me telling him that my nails wasn't right. She didn't say a word, there was no apologies or anything. Now I have to find a new shop.
I’d called the day before to book morning appointments for myself and my dghtr. We’d arrived and were the first customers they’d let in. I’d informed a lady that I’d made appointments, she had a confused look on her face then proceeded to check their appointment book. She said that she didn’t see our names. I let her know that a man had set the appointments, she’d said “ok if you talked to someone it’s fine”.
Moving on. I’d come in for a full acrylic set and a gel pedicure. My dghtr wanted a French manicure and a gel pedicure. They’d continuously pushed for the extra services for the pedicure, even after I’d handed the book back. I’d went ahead and agreed to it after they’d explained that it’ll be 45 each. The pedicures, feet and leg massage was ok.
Next, we were directed to two different techs for the acrylic and French manicure.
The guy was somewhat pleasant but didn’t talk much. I’d asked for coffin shaped nails, not too long, not too short. Everything APPEARED to look fine. During the UV treatment, I’d mistakenly hit my nail on my finger while drying. I’d let the tech know and instead of re-doing the nail, he filed the area and polished over it. There’s an outline where it had happened. I’d also noticed upon leaving the shop that one nail was much shorter than the rest of my nails. I’d returned to get it fixed. No apology, I was told to sit. He’d grabbed a nail file and started to try prying the nail off and stabbed the inside of my finger and did NOT apologize! I started noticing other inconsistencies later in the day, he’d missed some spots on my nails and the coffin shap wasn’t consistent throughput.
Now, onto my dghtr’s experience. She was sitting right next to me. The tech was aggressively filing her nails and was taking longer than usual. I’d asked her how everything was going because upon returning to my chair from washing my hands, I heard her say to the guy that she was bleeding and that he was hurting her fingers. She said to me “it’s going ok but he’d cut me and I was bleeding” he THEN apologized but didn’t apologize when it had happened. Her application was too THICK!
Needless to say, they are OVERPRICED! Together our bill came out to 230 dollars!! Never have we ever paid that much at a nail salon for what we’d asked for! I’m still trying to figure out how it came to be that amount! I did not want to cause a scene so I paid. Everything was subpar! Not worth it! It’s a shame because this was our first visit and we were excited about it.
Learn some manners! Stop rushing! Stop stabbing people with your nail files! Stop overcharging for mediocre and rushed work! We will NEVERRRR return! Oh, and a nice THANK YOU would be nice if someone tips! I tipped all 4 techs Although they didn’t deserve it!!!
Oh, one more thing. The sudden shoulder and back massages in the midst of manicures awkward and weird. I don’t care if it IS free. At least ask if it’s WANTED! That totally threw us off.
First off the person Gave me a set price. After that I said I had a 25%off coupon because low and behold my last appointment was chipped the next day as well. On good faith I gave it another shot. After my nails are done Kim tells me im getting charged more.. excuse me? Then low and behold 2 days later 3 nails chipped only one picture shown and Kim, you are truly unprofessional and should be refunding me my money. Buyer beware!!!
Friendly staff, however my $55 pedicure was rushed and overly expensive for the service I received. My nail dip broke 2 days later. Not even a week later and 3 nails have already broken
This was my first time here and we had a very relaxing experience. The staff was super friendly and provided great service. The salon was very clean ! We will definitely be coming back.
Mia is my tech and she really is the best! If you want good quality and service then go see her!
