Quick Facts About New Choiyin food limited

New Choiyin Food Limited has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Starting with the strengths, it is mentioned that the restaurant is bright and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere for customers. Additionally, the food is described as delicious and plentiful, especially when opting for the "Eat as much as you like" menu, which is considered excellent value for money at £21 per head. The staff are generally seen as friendly and efficient, providing good service to customers. One customer even mentions a special birthday celebration where the staff brought out a bowl of ice cream with a lit candle and joined in singing "Happy birthday," showcasing the restaurant's efforts to make customers feel appreciated and well-cared for.
However, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the comments as well. Firstly, there are repeated issues with sauces in the orders. In one instance, the wrong sauce was provided, and in another, the curry sauce was missing altogether. This inconsistency in getting the order correct can be frustrating for customers. Additionally, when the mistake was brought up to the restaurant, the customer was initially only offered a refund without any option to have the correct sauce delivered promptly. The subsequent delay in getting the sauce delivered further added to the customer's dissatisfaction. The restaurant staff's lack of knowledge and delay in handling the situation created a poor customer experience.
Another weakness identified is that the food is frequently described as bland and lacking in taste. Some dishes, like the chicken with black bean sauce and schezun chicken are specifically mentioned as lacking flavor and tasting like gravy. This inconsistency in taste from previously enjoyed food may indicate a decline in the quality of the dishes. Moreover, there are complaints about the quality of the meat, with one customer mentioning that it tasted "false," indicating a potential issue with the sourcing or preparation of the ingredients.
Portion sizes are also mentioned as a concern, with certain dishes like crispy beef being half-empty in the plastic pot while noodles and rice pots are full. Inconsistent portion sizes can make customers feel shortchanged and dissatisfied with their orders. Finally, some customers mention high prices for what they perceive as a lower quality of meat and overall food. This can be seen as poor value for money and a deterrent for future orders.
In conclusion, while New Choiyin Food Limited has some strengths such as a bright and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and good value for money with the "All you can eat" menu, there are also several weaknesses. These include issues with sauces, bland and tasteless food, inconsistent portion sizes, and high prices for what is perceived as lower quality. Improving these weaknesses could result in a better overall experience for customers and increase customer loyalty.

2 issues with sauces in last 2 orders. Firstly we received a curry sauce instead of sweet sour sauce for our chicken balls. Didn’t mention anything as mistakes happen. Unfortunately just over a week later we ordered a curry sauce and it was left out of our takeaway due to them being so busy. This was what I was told when I rung up. I was given absolutely no option for one to be delivered to me although living less than a 2 minute drive from the takeaway. a refund was the only option I was given. 10 minutes later was called back and told I could have one sent out but would be another 1 hour and 20 minutes after our food had actually arrived. Was then told they needed my card details for the refund which took an age whilst my food was going cold that I was in the middle of. Lady didn’t know what to say when I said be I’d going elsewhere from now on. Alternative takeaway now needed.
Ordered chicken with black bean sauce very bland no taste schezun chicken tasted like gravy best dish was egg fried rice used to be fantastic when it was a restaurant but since just take away food has no taste very bland
A perfectly decent Chinese. All the things you would expect though none of the food is incredible. The staff are sullen and to the point but service is quick. The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming, but can be noisy. Prices are in line with the area.
A good night out but nothing special.
Food very bland no taste, ribs just fat mostly, very expensive for bad quality of meat. Won’t be ordering from there again.
I've used choi Inn for years food has always been superb. But over the last year the prices have rocketed , and the standard of food has dropped so much. The meat tastes false..
Second time eating a takeaway from here. The food wasn’t as nice as the first time. Each time we’ve ordered the portion sizes have not been great. Noodles and rice pots full but crispy beef and other dishes half empty in the plastic pot.
Found the food lovely me and my friend order from eat as much as you like menu which is £21 approximately each. Atmosphere is nice staff friendly. Service is normally good. We we're there on a quiet evening.
Ambience good, food delicious and plentiful, staff friendly and efficient. We had the "All you can eat" for £21 per head, excellent value. After we had finished and without being asked, staff brought a bowl of icecream with a lit candle in and joined in with my family to sing Happy birthday to me! Highly recommended.
