She guided me through working at length to understand exactly what style I wanted to achieve and what the strategy was going to be. As we were working through this, I was very impressed at her intuitive and deep understanding of the exact nature of my desired hairstyle.
She takes great pride in her work and made sure everything was on point. She is the real deal, a true artisan.
Not only did I emerge there with an amazing haircut, but also it really made my day to talk with such a friendly, warm, and caring person.
You know when you get an amazing haircut and leave and the haircut just radiates? Yep. Left feeling amazing.
Jess is amazing and I highly recommend her. I've been going to her for over 5 years now. I initially came to her after a different salon gave me a chemical cut. Jess was SO kind and assured me that it would be okay. She completely transformed my hair and was able to save most of my length while trimming the damaged areas to create a cute layered cut. She is so knowledgable and has taught me so much about how to care for bleached and damaged hair and what products to use.
Every time I go to Nogginz and sit in her chair, I know I'm going to leave happy with the exact style I wanted. 100/10 would recommend Jess!
I got there 5 minutes before it opened this morning, and since it's cold outside tried the door and walked in, thinking it would be just fine for me to wait 5 minutes in their waiting area until they officially opened. Immediately when I walked in the hairdressers who were sitting on the haircut chairs on their phones rudely told me I had to leave because they're not open yet.
I proceeded to leave and drive to Great clips where I got an excellent haircut.
I've gotten my haircut here for the past couple of years, but lately I've been getting the vibe that hairdressers hate their jobs, and don't actually want to cut hair. I don't feel welcome here, so I plan on taking my business elsewhere from now on.
I would like to thank and recognize and totally recommend Amanda!! She was absolutely amazing !! She did my daughters hair for my daughter’s graduation!! She was thorough, professional and outstanding. I will be coming back !! She was sweet and lovely!! Thank you Amanda!!!
I want to thank Lauren again for taking the time on my hair this past Saturday. She really took care to make it really good and I've never had so many compliments on a haircut before! I also like that you can just walk in here and I've never had to wait more than ten minutes to see a stylist. :D Recommend
If you go request Jess. Had Hannah today and she was downright rude/scowling the whole time. I tried to ask how she’d style my hair and she just repeated the way I had it when I came in. My cut has one square side one round side. I politely asked if maybe we could fix it and she took five seconds and told me that’s the way it is. Her attitude has no place in a service industry next time I’ll make sure to request Jess. 5 stars if you get Jess I’d give my experience today 1 star.
I always get a great cut here and they’re the only ones I trust to touch my hair. Very reasonably priced and definitely the best place to go on campus.
The woman who cut my hair yesterday, her name was Amanda she was absolutely incredible most down to earth hair stylist I know she deserves a raise for sure. I’m coming back to Madison just to get my haircut by her for real.
