I’m adamant northerners are just used to average food and call it ‘the best’. For the price I was expecting something special. But it’s average at best. Lacks flavour. You can tell it’s pre made, it literally took 5minutes to cook. The meat was chewy. The sauce was meant to be spicy/hot but had no kick. I was edible but won’t be going back.
To top it off, the ignorance from the lady on the front desk. Lacks customer service. There are plenty other Chinese shops in bedlington. That serve the same average Chinese food, but cheaper and better service.
Lovely food, but the front of house staff (especially whoever answers the phone) needs some serious training with regards to customer services. Discussing this with friends and family suggests the feeling of hostility is a common occurrence.
First time I have been never again, ordered a starter of Ribs and a Main dish on Thursday evening with a side of curry sauce, food okay nothing to write home about, looked at my bank statement £26.30 Really!!!!! Lady taking orders not rude but taking calls at the same time, more fool me for not questioning the cost, wont be back.
My Meal is very greasy bit like oil and not good food
Tried it out as in the area working, got the Singapore chowmein very poor literally noodles with some curry powder mixed in not made with chilli oil that I’m used to at my local and lacking in meat Prawns etc pretty flavourless disappointing
1st Time we've used Ocean Palace. Totally Fantastic Quality Food. We Ordered House Special Chow Main bbq Spare Ribs and Curry Sauce. We Travelled 7 Miles but Honestly Well Worth it.
