Quick Facts About Oriental Chef

The comments provided offer both positive and negative feedback about Oriental Chef. Let's start by looking at the strengths mentioned in the comments.
1. Good food: The comments consistently mention that the food at Oriental Chef is of high quality and delicious. Customers have been visiting this place for years and appreciate the consistent quality they receive.
2. Outstanding service: Oriental Chef is praised for its friendly and attentive service. This is a positive aspect that contributes to a positive dining experience for customers.
3. Tender and flavorful dishes: One customer specifically mentions the beef dish with green peppers and black bean sauce as being tender and delicious. This highlights the quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparing the dishes.
4. Established reputation: Oriental Chef has built up a loyal customer base over the years, with some patrons having been visiting since childhood. This indicates that the restaurant has consistently provided a positive experience for customers over an extended period.
5. Not reliant on online platforms: One customer mentions that Oriental Chef is not listed on food delivery websites and does not offer delivery. However, they highlight that this is because the food is so good that customers are willing to go out and collect it. This suggests that the restaurant has a strong reputation and does not need to rely on online platforms to attract customers.
Now let's examine the weaknesses mentioned in the comments.
1. Limited opening hours: One customer expresses disappointment that Oriental Chef is only open two days a week. This can be seen as a weakness as it limits the availability of the restaurant to customers.
2. Negative dining experience: Two customers provide negative reviews, stating that the food was average or poor. They mention specific issues such as the sweet and sour tasting like vinegar, the beef dish being bland, and the starter being tasteless. One customer even questioned if the food is made on-site or bought in. These reviews suggest inconsistencies in food quality and flavor.
3. Expensive pricing: One customer mentions that Oriental Chef is not the cheapest Chinese takeaway. Although they acknowledge that they wanted quality food, they felt that the price was high for what they received. This could be seen as a weakness if other customers feel similarly and find the prices unaffordable.
4. Lack of freebies: One customer mentions that despite spending £46, they did not receive any freebies like prawn crackers. This may be seen as a negative aspect, as some customers appreciate receiving extra items as a gesture of goodwill.
Based on the comments provided, Oriental Chef has strengths in terms of good food, outstanding service, and a loyal customer base. However, weaknesses include limited opening hours, negative dining experiences, expensive pricing, and a lack of freebies. These weaknesses should be addressed to enhance the overall customer experience and maintain a positive reputation.

Best TL Reviews

Always really good food, just a shame they are only open 2 days a week now.
Our favorite takeaway
Outstanding service and food
By a long long way the best Chinese takeaway in the world. Very friendly staff and amazing food, can’t recommend this place enough.
Been going here for over 10 years since I was a kid and it’s always been the same quality.. unbeatable
First time customer & last !! Food wasn't nice. We ordered the set meal for two. The sweet and sour just tasted of vinegar. Beef dish very bland. The starter 'box' seemed very commercialised and was pretty tasteless. I have to wonder if these are 'bought in' products and not prepared on the premises. I wouldn't recommend this takeaway to others.
First time we’ve tried this place through recommendation! Very disappointed food was very average bordering on poor, would not recommend myself or ever go back! Schezwan Was watery and vinegary, chicken slimy, rice hard, salt and pepper chips cold and soggy really poor! I can’t believe the amount of people who were turning up food! Two stars are for the prawn crackers! Not a patch on Happy in Morley!
Not the cheapest Chinese but then it was quality that i wanted. I had beef with green peppers & blackbean sauce, the beef was really tender & was overall delicious. I thought it rather strange that they are not on any of the online food ordering sites & they do not do delivery but i now understand that they do not need to rely on foodie sites when the food is so good & if it is so good - it's worth going out to collect.!!!
By far the best Chinese takeaway in Wakefield....always excellent quality and fantastic friendly service.....should be added to everyone's bucket list
It was alright, a little bit expensive. Didn't get any freebies like prawn crackers, after spending 46 pounds thought would of got something free.
