Quick Facts About Pennine Hotel
The Pennine Hotel appears to have several strengths based on the comments provided.
One strength is the excellent customer service and accommodating staff. In one comment, the hotel went out of their way to accommodate a customer's allergy to pork by separating the pigs in blankets on a separate plate. They also found green teabags for another customer. This demonstrates that the staff is attentive and willing to accommodate specific dietary needs or preferences. Additionally, the staff is described as lovely, friendly, and attentive in several comments, further emphasizing their strong customer service skills.
Another strength of the Pennine Hotel is the quality and variety of the food. Multiple comments praise the food, with specific mentions of delicious fish and chips, chicken and leak pie, and a perfectly cooked beef roast. The food is also described as excellent, superb, and filling. These positive comments indicate that the hotel offers high-quality meals that satisfy customers' appetites.
Clean and well-maintained facilities are another strength of the Pennine Hotel. The comment about the toilets being clean with plenty of soap and paper towels suggests that the hotel prioritizes cleanliness and hygiene. This is important, as cleanliness can significantly impact the overall experience of guests.
Reasonable pricing is also highlighted as a strength of the Pennine Hotel. One comment mentions that the lunch was very reasonably priced, indicating that the hotel offers good value for money. This is likely to be appealing to customers who are conscious of their budget.
The Pennine Hotel also has some weaknesses that can be inferred from the comments. One weakness is the limited menu options, particularly for Sunday lunch. One comment mentions that there were only three options of meals available: Sunday dinner, fish and chips, or lasagna. While this may not bother some customers who specifically want a Sunday roast, it could be a drawback for those seeking a wider variety of choices.
In terms of service, there is a comment about shocking service, with no one checking on the food or asking how it was when collecting plates. This suggests a lack of attentiveness from the staff in that particular instance. Additionally, there was a minor inconvenience when the card machine didn't work, requiring the customers to withdraw cash. While this may not be a major issue, it could still be seen as a weakness in terms of convenience.
Overall, the Pennine Hotel has several strengths, including excellent customer service, high-quality food, clean facilities, reasonable pricing, and generous portion sizes. The weaknesses identified are a limited menu selection and occasional lapses in attentive service. However, the strengths mentioned by multiple customers outweigh these weaknesses, making the Pennine Hotel a recommended place to visit.

What a lovely place, we sat and enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the pennine Hotel. They went out of their way to accommodate. Y allergy to pork, putting the pigs in blankets on a separate plate for the others. They found green teabags for us. They didn't hurry us, and it was very reasonably priced. Lovely staff excellent food. Well worth a visit. I met up with my sister about half way between us and we will be definitely be visiting again. Toilets were clean and plenty of soap, paper towels etc.
We decided short notice to go for a meal on Friday. Beforehand, the girl who booked us really pleasant over the phone. Nice welcome; by all staff. Prompt order. We ordered Fish and chips, it was the best!fresh good fish with batter and chunky chips ! Bar manager pleasant.and fire gorgeous!
Called in at Kirkby Stevens while travelling across country for a break and some food. We were very lucky in that we picked The Pennine Hotel for food. It was Sunday, 3pm, we got the last table, however they had sold all their Sunday lunch's. But not to worry, the lovely lady working there suggested chicken and leak pie. It was delicious and was served with homemade chunky chips, mushy peas, and gravy. The potions were large and served hot, so large we didn't need anymore food for the rest of the day. This is a very friendly and welcoming establishment and I would recommend everyone to try their delicious food ????
Absolutely amazing!
The staff are absolutely gorgeous and so attentive!
We needed to change the baby’s nappy and they gave us a lovely room just to change the baby instead of going to the toilet.
Everyone including the owner are absolute legends!
Thanks for having us ????
We stopped by here for Sunday Lunch, it was delicious, gravy was slightly overpowering on the 'fancy' taste of thing, veg was slightly hard but overall a good dinner which filled a hole, beef was cooked to perfection. However, only three options of meals (sunday dinner, fish & chips, or Lasagna). Didn't bother us as we wanted a Sunday roast.
The service however was shocking, nobody checked to see how our food was, or asked how it was when collecting plates. Card machine wouldn't work, so we had to get cash out minor inconvenience. Overall, great pub for a stop by meal.
Great food and accommodation
All the staff were very welcoming especially with our little one
We will be back again thank you
Perfect place for a light lunch on way to the Lakes. Friendly staff and superb fish dish. Dog friendly. Can eat outside if you want fresh air, but have to pay first. Tabs allowed is eating inside.
Absolutely brilliant for a lunch stop. I had the jacket and they’re definitely not shy with their portion sizes. I would 100% recommend.
