Quick Facts About Queen African Hair Braiding
Queen African Hair Braiding has various strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths highlighted in the comments is the excellent job they do each time. Amy and her family have been braiding one customer's hair for over 15 years, demonstrating their consistent quality and skill. They are also praised for their fast and efficient services, making them a good choice for those who want speedy braiding. Additionally, they specialize in a range of braids and locks, showing their versatility and expertise in different hair styles.
Another strength mentioned is the friendliness of the hair braiders. Customers have commented that they feel welcomed and comfortable in the salon. This positive atmosphere contributes to a pleasant experience for customers and makes them feel at home. One customer even states that they plan on making Queen African Hair Braiding their regular salon for loc maintenance, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the service and interaction.
However, there are also weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One customer complains about the shop closing unexpectedly despite confirming their appointment, causing inconvenience and frustration. This lack of reliability and communication can be seen as a weakness for the business.
Another negative aspect highlighted is concerning the quality of the braids. A customer mentions that their braids were too tight and not done properly, resulting in their real hair being cut and visible. The hair braiders' lack of attention to detail and lack of understanding of proper braiding methods is a weakness that can significantly impact customer satisfaction. Additionally, hygiene is raised as a concern, with a customer noting bad breath and body odor. Maintaining a clean and pleasant environment is important for any salon, and failure to do so can negatively affect the reputation of the business.
Another weakness pointed out is the lack of expertise in different types of braids. One customer was disappointed that the hair braiders claimed their hair was too short for scalp braiding and lacked the necessary skills for other types of braiding. This limits the range of services they can provide, potentially leading to missed opportunities and dissatisfied customers.
Furthermore, the issue of customer service is raised in one comment. A customer felt uncomfortable and pressured when they were not allowed to leave the salon to go to the bank before paying. Feeling held hostage and not having the freedom to leave can create a negative experience and impact the customer's likelihood of returning.
Despite these criticisms, many customers have had positive experiences with Queen African Hair Braiding. They praise the good work done by the braiders and the efforts made to provide fast service. With consistent quality and a friendly atmosphere, the salon has managed to satisfy many customers over the years.

Amy and family have braiding my hair for over 15 years! They do an excellent job each and Everytime. I recommend them if you’re looking for fast and sufficient services. They specialize in a range of braids and locks. Call today!
The hair braiders are very friendly. I have locs and my retwist was very fast and came out beautifully. Plan on making this my loc home
Called said I wanted to come in today cause I work 6 days a week . She wanted to make sure I was coming I said yes called a cab and 30mins later she closed the shop????????????????????????????????????????????.
Aye this place is kinda awful. The braiding is too tight and not even done properly. There was a lot of my real hair sticking out and they acted as if it was flyaways an cut my real hair. And this was after I brought it to their attention. Older lady tried to convince me that braiding the hair half way down b4 dipping them was the way how its done. I had to correct her an really push the issue of telling her it looks bad and that's not how it's done. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not all Africans are African braiders. P.S. their hygiene was really bad for 9am.... breath and body. Good luck to anyone getting braids here
Went there a couple weeks ago. Don't get me wrong my hair was beautiful. I have been there twice over almost 10 years. The only thing I did not like about both of my experiences is, when I told the lady I didn't have all the money let me go to the bank and come back. She did not want to let me leave the building. She tried to get me to let her keep my hair there then tried to get me to leave a $20 deposit to assure that I would come back. Sadly that was my last time going there. I don't like the vibe of feeling like I'm being held hostage. Other than that they do do good work.
They don't know how to do anything but box braiding. If you ask for anything like scalps braiding they going to claim your hair is to short. You ask them how much 150.00 then it goes to 180.00 then they try to be slick and say you going to give me a tip nope I'm sure not my tip is learn how to braid all braids other than box braiding. These african are con artist try to be. They ain't but about nothing but your money they are not your friend.
It was great they were really nice and they don't braid tight.it was the first time I could ever get a ponytail after having boxbraids done ..A±+++++++++++ for me will be back in couple months 4 redo think I found My shop..
I have always had a pleasant experience when I come here. Amy is nice she will call you a few times to make sure your coming but don't be offended. I been coming off and on for a few years. They do great work...normally two braiders but depends on if their crowded. But they try to get you out as fast as possible. Great work here!
