Quick Facts About Red Lion Hotel

The Red Lion Hotel has received both positive and negative feedback from customers, indicating a mixture of strengths and weaknesses. This analysis will explore these comments in more detail to provide a comprehensive understanding of the hotel's strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentioned that the Indian food served at the hotel was delicious and some of the best curries they had tasted in years. The daal, chicken, and lamb curries were especially praised. This indicates that the hotel has the potential to offer high-quality and tasty food options.
Another positive comment highlighted the friendly and welcoming nature of the hotel owners. They personally greeted each customer and ensured their comfort and satisfaction. Good customer service is crucial for the success of any establishment, and this positive feedback suggests that the Red Lion Hotel excels in this area.
Additionally, it was mentioned that the pub had a relaxed atmosphere and clean toilets. A clean and well-maintained environment is important for customers' comfort and enjoyment, and it seems that the Red Lion Hotel meets these expectations.
Furthermore, another customer appreciated the selection of drinks and the presence of a pool table. These offerings provide entertainment and options for guests to relax and socialize, enhancing their overall experience at the hotel.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one of the most significant criticisms was directed at the quality of the food. A customer mentioned that a chicken dish they ordered was overly salty and undercooked, indicating a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. Poor-quality food can greatly impact the overall dining experience and deter customers from returning.
Additionally, a negative review mentioned that the hotel rooms were in poor condition. The beds were positioned in a way that restricted the door from fully opening, and the room overall was described as horrible. Issues with old and broken furnishings, dirty showers, and a lack of cleanliness were also highlighted. These issues reflect a lack of maintenance and attention to detail in the upkeep of the hotel rooms, which can significantly impact guest satisfaction.
In terms of the facilities, it was mentioned that the hotel does not have a lift, which can be inconvenient for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage. This is an important aspect to consider for hotels, as accessibility and convenience are essential for guest comfort.
Furthermore, a negative comment mentioned that the entrance may give a deceiving impression of the hotel, as the rooms were described as dirty and the staff as absent and unhelpful. A lack of security due to the absence of staff also raises concerns, further tarnishing the hotel's reputation.
Finally, a comment mentioned the unwelcoming behavior of some locals towards non-Asians. This suggests a potential cultural sensitivity issue within the local community, which could unnecessarily create an uncomfortable environment for certain guests.
In conclusion, the Red Lion Hotel has both strengths and weaknesses based on the customer feedback provided. The strengths include delicious food, friendly owners, a relaxed atmosphere, and clean facilities. However, there are weaknesses related to the quality of the food, poor room conditions, lack of amenities such as a lift, and potential issues with cultural sensitivity. Addressing these weaknesses will be crucial for the hotel to retain and attract new customers, thereby improving its overall reputation and success.

Best TL Reviews

This is my first time here we had a few drinks in the lounge area, we tried a simple starter to see how good the food was.
We had ordered a chicken dish and the first thing you notice is how much salt the dish was and felt like it was undercooked.
Very poor quality of food don't think we will be coming here again .
We were here on 3rd October for the first night they were offering Indian food . Whilst only a limited menu was available for the first night, it was all delicious, one of the best curries I've had for years. The daal was superb, as were the chicken and lamb curries. Three of us are - a mixed grill to share, three curries, two naans and one rice, just over £40, so excellent value as well as delicious! Would come back without hesitation...
Nice pint & nice chicken wings : this pub is going to get better still, I liked it .
Absolute mock, disgusting and smelly. Though it's a budget hotel, not worth it as you're directly above a pub and unable to sleep. Not to talk about drunken people coming in after midnight banging doors and singing. Don't be deceived by the entrance which is about the only decent thing about the place, the dirt in the rooms are unacceptable with endless steps to heaven, no lift. Staff are never around which makes the place not secure at all, not recommended as I'll never ever return here again.
Great mix grill, food was fresh and tasty! Calm atmosphere. The owners were lovely, they personally welcomed each customer and ensured they are comfortable and having a good experience
The worst hotel in my life. In room there were 2 single beds, you were not able to open the door fully due to bed. The room was horrible. There was a TV but without control remote, a fridge old and nasty. A cupboard old and a broke mirror. Toilet was the tiniest toilet I have ever since, same as on a airpline one, a bit bigger due to shower. Shower was nasty, dirty, the floor on the shower was black. I felt disgusted when I had to go bathroom. Plus that was £80 for a night, having to leave at 10AM. You can find really good, cozy and comfortable rooms for £80.
Quite little pub with friendly staff, not too many drinks or food available but is alright. There is a pool table for playing. Toilets are clean. It is one of two pubs located close to Broadway so you can visit our quickly.
Drinks are ok and Staff are friendly. Pool table is ok and toilets are ok too. Stingy owners and Furniture probably 40 years old. One half closed as of August 2018, other half has no carpet!. Local Asians can sometimes be unwelcoming towards Caucasians. Invest a little please!!!
