Quick Facts About The Bourne Arms
The Bourne Arms has received several positive comments regarding their service, food, and atmosphere. These strengths contribute to its appeal and success as a village pub.
One strength highlighted by a customer is the fantastic service provided by the staff. They mention that they could not fault the service, which indicates a high level of customer satisfaction. This positive experience reflects well on the pub and creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Another strength mentioned is the availability of gluten-free meals with plenty of choice. This demonstrates that The Bourne Arms caters to customers with dietary restrictions, providing options for those who require gluten-free options. This inclusivity enhances the pub's appeal and makes it a more attractive option for a wider range of customers.
Furthermore, the freshly battered starters such as battered halloumi and chicken goujons are mentioned as "yummy," indicating high-quality and tasty food. This adds to the pub's strengths as customers enjoy the food offerings.
The fact that the pub has real fires creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere, according to one comment. This feature adds to the overall ambiance and charm of the establishment, making it a desirable place for customers to relax and enjoy their visit.
Additionally, the beer garden is highlighted as a positive aspect of The Bourne Arms. A customer mentions that it is a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. This outdoor seating option provides customers with a pleasant environment to enjoy their drinks and meals.
The affordability of the food is also mentioned in one comment, with the prices described as sensible. This affordability makes The Bourne Arms an attractive option for customers looking for quality food at reasonable prices.
Interestingly, one comment mentions that the pub is under new management as of April '23. Although it does not go into specifics about the new management, it suggests that the pub is actively making efforts to improve and maintain its status as a village pub. This change in management could potentially introduce new ideas and improvements in the future.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses identified in the comments. One customer mentions that there was a limited number of options available on the day they visited due to the unavailability of gluten-free pasta and liver and onions. While this may be a temporary issue, it can be disappointing for customers who visit with specific dietary preferences or expectations.
Another weakness mentioned is the view being blocked by new apartments, which are described as overpowering. This comment suggests that the view from the pub has been negatively impacted by the construction of nearby apartments. This could potentially reduce the overall appeal and atmosphere of the pub, especially for those who valued its previous views.
All in all, The Bourne Arms has several strengths, including fantastic service, a wide range of gluten-free options, tasty food, a cozy atmosphere with real fires, and affordability. However, there are also some weaknesses, such as limited food options on certain days and the obstructed view caused by nearby apartments. These weaknesses should be taken into account by potential customers, but they should not overshadow the pub's strengths as a welcoming and well-regarded village pub.

Fantastic service could not fault! My youngest ordered tomato pasta off the kids menu, but when it came it was a cream and arrabiata sauce which was too spicy for her so they happily swapped her meal. Lovely gluten free meals with plenty of choice. We had battered halloumi and chicken goujons to start which was freshly battered chicken- yummy! Unfortunately they had no gluten free pasta available and the liver and onions was unavailable so it limited our options on the day we visited. Definitely worth a visit but I would call in advance if you require gluten free!
Under new management (April ‘23). Welcoming and working hard as the village pub. Real fires. Beer garden and quality food at sensible prices.

Stopped off for a swift latte and hot chocolate after a walk along the front. Very enjoyable, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff.
Great draft ales and best scampi I think I've ever tasted. Dog friendly so perfect for a walk along the beach then in for a pint and food.
A lovely pub well placed on the Fylde Coast at Knott End. A very good choice of Ales, Lagers and Ciders. I had a very nice pint of Hobgoblin Gold and my wife had a lovely glass of Rose Blush. The staff were very nice and the Covid control excellent. We didnt eat but it all looked very nice. We will definitely be back.
A tradition pub with a complementary modern feel. Great place to eat, drink and meet friends. Great selection of food and drinks all set in a good atmosphere and comfy setting. Very close to ferry point to Fleetwood
