Quick Facts About Redcar Beacon

The Redcar Beacon Place has several strengths that make it an attractive destination for visitors. One of its major strengths is its recent opening after two years, indicating that the facility is new and well-maintained. The views from the top floor of the Beacon are another notable strength, providing visitors with stunning views of Redcar and beyond. This feature allows visitors to appreciate the area and gain a fuller perspective of their surroundings. Additionally, the Beacon offers a suite for marriages and civil partnerships, providing a unique venue for such occasions while overlooking the sea. This feature adds to the Beacon's appeal as a special events venue.
Furthermore, the presence of Zetland radio station within the Beacon is another strength. This adds a cultural element to the facility and may provide visitors with the chance to witness or participate in live broadcasts. The availability of a café and restaurant on the ground floor is another positive feature, as it offers convenience and a place for visitors to relax and enjoy refreshments. The inclusion of public toilets and baby changing facilities is also a strength, as it enhances the overall visitor experience by ensuring that basic amenities are readily available.

Lastly, one comment expresses a personal dislike for the Beacon as a vertical pier, indicating that the design or concept of the structure may not appeal to everyone.
In conclusion, the Redcar Beacon Place has several strengths that contribute to its appeal, including its recent opening, breathtaking views, special events suite, and the presence of Zetland radio station. The café and restaurant, public toilets, and baby changing facilities also add to the facility's positive attributes. However, there are some weaknesses mentioned, such as potential weather-related limitations, cleanliness issues, security concerns, and personal preference for the design of the Beacon. Overall, the strengths of the Redcar Beacon Place make it an attractive destination, but addressing the identified weaknesses may further enhance its appeal and visitor experience.

Best TL Reviews

Just recently opened after 2 years. Views of Redcar and beyond from the top floor it has a suite for marriages and civil partnerships overlooking the sea.
Zetland radio is also based here. Including a cafe and restaurant on the ground floor.
Plus public toilets and baby changing facilities.
Lovely views from the top. Nice bar on ground floor. A bit pricey but the food was nice. Other floors in the beacon are used by a radio station. It also has a floor with an area for civil partnerships.
I didn't catch the weather it was a bit cold and not a lot open. Nice place to walk along the beach though. Good sea views. The beach looked clean. Fish and chips were good. A lot of litter along the sea wall though
A great height to gain a full view of Redcar without feeling unsafe. It gives a fuller perspective of where you are and a great appreciation of the area than you would have from a ground floor view.
The lift is a good size (as pictured) and feels very quick and reliable. The cafe/bar does a good variety of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks at quite reasonable prices with very friendly staff. This is an essential addition to any visit to the Redcar seafront.
Not sure what it's supposed to be but due to anti social behaviour the viewing deck was closed
I don't like the beacon as a vertical pier
BUT called into the pub on the ground floor and found it a lovely bar area ,good service nice and clean...
Better still a mobile fish and chip van is on the patio, they smelled lovely, didn't gave any but plenty of people were ordering them
Beautiful and unique building, must see it at night time
I like seaside. but the day I went it was freezing even the sun is out. Crowded everywhere. Toilets in arcades are quite dirty. I prefer Salt-burn
