Quick Facts About River Island Market
River Island Market Place, located between Parker and LHC, has several strengths that make it a convenient and popular choice for locals and visitors in the area. Firstly, the market offers a wide range of products, from beer and gas to pizza and wings. This variety makes it a one-stop-shop for customers, providing them with everything they need in one place. Additionally, customers appreciate the fact that the market has options for both convenience store items and fresh food, such as a deli that serves great sandwiches and daily specials. This combination of convenience and quality food sets River Island Market Place apart from other similar establishments.
One of the main strengths of the market is its friendly and welcoming staff. Many customers mention the nice folks who work at the market, which creates a positive and enjoyable shopping experience. In addition to excellent customer service, the market is known for its clean and well-stocked environment. Customers appreciate the effort put into maintaining a clean and organized store. This attention to cleanliness adds to the overall appeal and credibility of the market.
One of the standout features of River Island Market Place is its pizza. Multiple comments praise the quality and taste of the pizza, stating that it exceeds expectations for a small gas station convenience store. The availability of a food truck to cover the pizza and deli when they are closed further showcases the commitment to providing delicious food options to customers.
Another strength of the market is its affordability. Many customers mention fair prices and excellent deals, such as the 14-inch one-topping pizza for $6.99 and the burger deal with great food at excellent prices. The market understands the importance of offering competitive prices, especially for a roadside store, and strives to provide value for money to its customers.
In terms of weaknesses, one aspect that customers mention is the limited operating hours of the pizza and deli section of the market. Some comments note that they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, indicating that customers need to plan their visits accordingly. However, the market mitigates this by bringing in a food truck to ensure that customers can still grab a bite to eat even on the days when the pizza and deli are closed.
Another potential weakness highlighted in the comments is that the groceries at the market are slightly more expensive compared to a regular grocery store. While this is expected for a convenience store, it may deter some customers who are looking for more affordable grocery options. However, the market compensates for this by offering a good selection of items that customers may need for their time on the river, such as hats, sunglasses, fishing equipment, and sunscreen. This demonstrates the market's efforts to cater to the specific needs of its target customers.
Overall, River Island Market Place has several strengths that make it a popular choice for locals and visitors in the area. These include its wide range of products, delicious food offerings, friendly staff, cleanliness, affordability, and convenience. While there are minor weaknesses, such as limited operating hours and slightly higher grocery prices compared to regular stores, the market's strengths outweigh these factors, making it a reliable and convenient option for customers in the area.

This little market is a wonderful option if you are staying between Parker and LHC. We get everything from Beer & Gas to Pizza & Wing's. They have everything you would expect from a Convenience store and make great food as well.
If you need it they seem to have it from car battery's to pizza. Yes the pizza and deli are very good. They also have fair prices for a roadside store. The pizza and deli are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but they have a food truck come in to cover.
Nice folks. Great Pizza and just about anything you need. Clean and well stocked. Propane and diesel as well.
Dont be fooled by the look of a little gas Station Convenience Store. Great deli here. Daily specials and always good pizza! 14 inch 1 topping $6.99. Very good crust.
Great stop for cheaper diesel and GREAT sandwiches.
Got the Pastrami. It was good.
Tuna is good here too.
3/24/22 visit to the deli - good food and excellent prices, especially if you order the specials. Nice to see locals coming in right at the noon opening and not even having to tell the staff their orders; that's how you know there are regulars!
The 14" one topping special for 6.99 is less than half of the regular menu price. Pizza was tasty, and the hamburger, although it was clearly a frozen patty, had been given an extra-mile treatment--toasted bun, burger seasoning on the patty, fresh looking tomato/onion/lettuce, plus some burger sauce. Fries were hot, crisp, and seasoned. A single 44 oz. soda for 99¢ (no free refills!) was plenty for our family of five.
Prepared sandwiches and desserts in the grab'n'go case looked good!
Gas was the same price as in Parker, bathrooms were clean, and the groceries were more expensive than the grocery store, but about what you'd expect at a convenience store.
Good selection of items you might need for your time on the river--hats, sunglasses, fishing equipment, sunscreen, etc.
What a great little deli this place has. Had the burger deal. Great food, and excellent prices.
Real great Karma here. Good snacks also from their sandwich counter.
