Quick Facts About Rock Paper Scissors Salon

Rock Paper Scissors Salon has several strengths based on the comments provided. One major strength is the skill and expertise of the stylists. Comments like "Barbie did an amazing job with my hair" and "Bri was absolutely amazing" highlight the positive experiences clients have had with their stylists. This indicates that the salon employs talented and knowledgeable professionals who have the ability to meet the specific needs and requests of their clients.
Another strength of the salon is their attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the integrity of clients' hair. Clients praise the stylists for being thorough, careful, and considerate of their specific hair concerns. This shows that the salon prioritizes the health and well-being of their clients' hair and takes the necessary steps to ensure that treatments and services are tailored to each individual's needs.
Additionally, the salon appears to have a strong customer service focus. Clients mention feeling cared for and valued during their appointments, with stylists constantly checking in and making sure they are happy with their hair. The salon also goes above and beyond by providing additional treatments, such as deep conditioning and bond multiplier, to ensure client satisfaction. Furthermore, the salon's willingness to address and resolve issues, as seen in the case of the color correction appointment, shows a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships.
The use of high-quality products is another strength of Rock Paper Scissors Salon. Clients mention that the salon uses the best products on the market, which contributes to the overall success and satisfaction of their hair treatments. This demonstrates that the salon values investing in quality products to achieve optimal results for their clients.
In terms of weaknesses, there are a few comments related to poor customer service and communication. In one instance, a client had their appointment canceled without any notification, which led to frustration and disappointment. Another comment highlights a lack of regard for clients' time, as there was no courtesy call when the salon was unexpectedly closed. These experiences indicate a need for improved communication and organization within the salon to ensure a positive and reliable experience for clients.
One comment mentions a negative experience with the salon not properly addressing a chemical burn on the client's scalp. While the salon offered a conditioning treatment and a gift certificate, the client expressed a lack of interest in returning to the salon. This highlights a weakness in the salon's ability to effectively handle and resolve customer complaints. Improving their response to customer issues and taking responsibility for any mistakes or accidents would enhance the overall customer experience.
Overall, Rock Paper Scissors Salon has several strengths, including talented stylists, attention to detail, strong customer service, and the use of high-quality products. However, there are some weaknesses related to customer service and communication that could be addressed to improve the overall experience for clients.

Barbie did an amazing job with my hair. She was very thorough with the color correction. She lifted my hair as much as possible but kept the integrity of my hair. Very pleased and will definitely keep going to her for my hair journey. ❤️
As a Blonde, careful care and treatments are vitally important. Bri was absolutely amazing! She really took great care of the up keep I needed. She worked on my main concerns which was warming my cool tones, but not to warm! She also found the right conditioning treatment I was looking for!
So, let me give a little back story for this head of hair here. I have been dying my hair since I was in fifth grade. That’s about 14 years. I have had red, purple, green, grey, all shades of blonde, highlights, ombrés etc. In the past two years alone, I have dyed my hair 5 or 6 different colours. Poor @annahendstylist had me as a customer last weekend and witnessed hair so processed beyond belief that it just couldn’t hold colour anymore. We thought she beat it, though. I walked out of that salon a beautiful redhead, once more. But my hair had different plans. After one wash, it was a disaster. I called the salon (@rpssalons) this morning, tearful, and was consoled and convinced to come back and let Anna have another crack at my problem-child hair. AND SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. THIS GIRL IS A MAGICIAN. They took such great care of me, constantly checking to make sure I was happy with my colour, hooking it up with some #b3bondmultiplier, a deep conditioner, and even handing me some wine (ooh la la). The people at this salon are amazing and, if you are in Lake Mary, Altamonte, Orlando, Apopka, or any surrounding areas, I would TOTALLY urge you to go! I’m still pretty new to Central Florida, but I’m happy to say that I’ve found my new salon and stylist! ????????‍♀️
I also want to add that, before going, I read pretty much every review for this salon, and their Lake Mary location, and can say that most of the negative reviews are from a lack of knowledge of how things work in a salon. Complaints of a charge for a blow-dry are unfounded. If you went into a store and they recommended something for you, would you get it for free? Everyone in this salon works hard and deserves every cent and some (don’t forget to take out cash to tip your stylist!). They are not a rinky-dink neighbourhood place. They are high-class and use the best products on the market to make sure your hair comes out amazingly. Even with that in mind, they are still extremely reasonably priced. If you are an impulsive dyer, I’d also recommend talking to them about their monthly membership as it is a great deal!
Altamonte Springs location: I wasn't going to write a review, but after a similar situation happened to my husband I decided to say something.
I scheduled an appointment last month to have a haircut. I show up to the salon only to find out that the stylist called out. OK, not a big deal, a heads up would have been nice since I drove to the salon - but I get it. It was strange that the salon sent a confirmation text every day leading up to the appointment.. but didn't have a system in place to let me know my appointment wasn't going to happen.
Fast forward to today, my husband drove over for his appointment and the salon was closed. No lights on, door locked. He didn't receive a courtesy call, nothing.
Who is running this business? We gave this place multiple chances, and it's a shame, but we will not be coming back. There is a total lack of regard for other people's time.
I had gone to this place multiple times in the past but it's gone downhill. The name change did nothing for it.
I hope you're able to turn it around.
I absolutely loved my experience at Rock Paper Scissors. Two weeks ago, I was pretty hesitant about changing my long, mostly straight, hair by getting a perm. My hair is super thick and went past my collar bone, so you can only imagine what perming that would be like. Before Train even began, he spent a bit of time talking me through this big change. Every. Singe. Step. Just to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. He also made sure that I was well aware of how much I was about to spend on perming long, thick hair. There was a blanket cost of the perm and a trim, plus the time spent. (Granted, I also walked in on black Friday when they had this amazing half off deal!) Anyway, Train spent about 5 hours and 150+ rollers on my hair to perm it. The whole time, he made sure that every single strand, even the small ones that I thought would be easier to just cut off, was perfect. Yes, it was stinky, and my butt was numb, but the end result was far beyond what I was expecting. Seriously, even people I don't know are complimenting my curls! My students have asked me if it's natural, and most of them have known me for four years! I don't have any before pictures, but I am posting one from the first day it was done, and two from today, which is roughly two weeks later after the curls have settled down.
After two years of being a loyal customer despite issues I have had with a few poor results I have had on occasion, I have to say I am deeply saddened at their customer's service and attitude. This business is much more concerned with keeping short term money than keeping a current client, future clients and referrals and potential membership. Consequently, although they kept my money without finishing the services purchased, they have lost my business, future business from me, my family and friends' business that I have referred, along with clients I serve, and any positive reviews. In 40+ years of visiting salons of all calibers in the US, I have NEVER seen a salon so NOT interested in working with you when a person unexpectedly ends up in the hospital - not even in an effort to keep your business in the long term. If I could give zero stars for their customer's service, I would. Astounded.
Horrible experience!!!
I went to the Oviedo salon and my hair was messed up badly. The haircut was wrong and the balayage was a complete disaster. I ended up with multiple tones of “blond/orange” in my hair. The haircut was not what I asked for either.
I texted for a fix, back and forth to get an appointment, obviously with a different hairstylist. Since I live in Jacksonville, I was only able to make the appointment two weeks after.
My hair was fixed in the Altamonte salon. However, they had the audacity of charging me again for fixing something that was completely their fault.
When I texted them back to complain about it they did not even answer. I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!
I have visited Rock Paper Scissors Salon 2 times prior to last visit (once in Altamonte Springs and once in Lake Mary) and had great experiences. This last one, however, was not so great. I made an appointment for a hair cut but ended up getting my hair bleached also. The hair cut is great and I love it. The color my hair ended up is also very nice. What isn't so nice is the huge chemical burn spots on my head. Called and was offered a conditioning treatment. I declined. The stylist apologized but really didn't seem to concerned or genuinely apologetic and kept repeating that it had happened to her before and it wasn't a big deal. I spent a large sum of money (to me) for this and am not interested in returning (2 hour drive, 1 there, 1 back) to a salon that caused huge scabs on my head. My hair is cut very short and now I have visible scabs on my scalp.
*I have now been offered a gift certificate for the cost of the lightening service but I have no interest in returning to the salon. I just want my money back but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
