I had an appointment for last Saturday, originally for knotless. Once I was in the chair and seen one of the knotless I immediately told her I’ll take twist or box braids ( really didn’t want box braids BUT definitely didn’t like how she did knotless)… I’ve traveled many places due to the military and have been getting my hair done with the Africans for over 15 years I’ve never been so disappointed a waste of 200$. I didn’t care for my twist but I thought to myself I’ll make them work and just not go back to this shop again. Here I am a week in she didn’t knot my ends so the twist are coming apart. I don’t recommend this shop at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Top of that, the front of my braids can’t be shown because some are spaced out and others a close together. Very disappointed!
Go elsewhere if you don’t want to get talked about in French. I visited Saran’s N. Augusta location today for the 2nd time. Everything was going well until I heard her tell the other lady that started braiding the front of my head that I asked for longer braids after she saw that the lady had already put two mid-back length braids on the edges. Mind you, we had already discussed the length and price. Saran asked if the length was okay, I told her I wanted it longer, and she said that they would do it longer which they never did, but I just said forget it, I’ll keep that length. They asked how I wanted the ends, last time I got it curled but this time I wanted it without any curls, braided all the way to the ends. Which I told them. After a lunch break, they had some other lady finish helping but this particular lady didn’t braid the hair all the way to the end like I wanted. When I asked them if they could braid them to the end, Saran told Gabby to only braid the top all the way to the end and leave the back the way it is. I didn’t say anything, I was over it. So once they finished the braids, they started to clean up the fly aways with scissors, I pulled the side braids from the back to the front to see if they gave me exactly what I wanted, since you know, I’m paying $200 for them and I didn’t go there begging for some free braids and all ????. All of a sudden, Saran snapped and told Gabby to hurry up and finish cleaning up the braids so that she can dip them in the hot water because “I was getting on her nerves touching my hair.” Those were her exact words, in French! Like…is it a crime to look at my hair to see if there’s anything I want changed before I leave your chair? And I was there 5 1/2 hrs, so I guess she got tired of me being there and making sure that I got exactly what I requested ????. Saran, it’s 2022, some of us don’t only speak or understand English, you really should be more mindful of the way you speak about your customers. You have no idea who’s gonna be sitting in your chair. I didn’t say anything to you directly in that moment because I really didn’t want to embarrass you. Y’all, please find someone else to braid your hair. They will talk about you like a dog because they think you won’t understand, which is very unprofessional. I don’t care if they were the last braiding shop standing in the entire world, I’d shave my head bald before I ever let her touch my head again. I gave two stars because the work is good if it turns out exactly the way you asked, but I’m not here for the aggression and the badmouthing of the customers. Do better!
I scheduled an appointment yesterday for this morning at 9. They did not arrive until 9:15, and they looked like teenagers instead of adults. There was one adult there but she acted as though she didn't know jack. Then it took them five minutes to decide who was going to do my hair. Granted, I changed the design I wanted it still took them until 9:40 to start on my head. I had to get them to redo four braids because they were not right. Then I have eleven braids versus the twelve I should have. I get home and take off my mask and it's attached to my hair. It's a laughing situation at this point for me.
I went on a Sunday around 10:30 a.m. after calling and speaking with someone around 9 a.m. There were two ladies there (Auntie and Nima) and both were nice. Auntie is the shop owner's sister. Nima braided my hair and did a FANTASTIC job! My hair is natural and all I wanted were some cornrows on the sides because I planned to style the middle of my hair on my own. I went ahead and sectioned off and blow dried the areas I wanted braided since I am tender headed as well as had a picture ready to show them. Overall she did not braid excessively tight nor did she mind talking to me while she worked. She even adjusted a few braids along my edge without any problem after I had left and then later returned the same day. I love how my hair turned out and I was not charged a fortune. I'll most definitely be returning for more cornrows. Thanks again ladies!
I went to this shop memorial day weekend. I made an appointment for 2. When I got there I was told they would be right with me as they were working on other heads.. After 2 hours of waiting and many reassurances that someone would be on the way we finally started. I showed a picture of my twists that had done plenty of times in the past. When they actually started it went very fast. However I spent almost 6 hours at the shop. Because of being there so long I had to pay extra for my sitter. 2 weeks later I started notice that they did not braid my hair past the knot. Because I'm natural you could visibly see it.. I tired on my own to gel it down but because of this humidity it curled back up. The first chance I had which was 3 weeks later I called for them to fix it. I called the owner and she tried to blame me because I wanted the ends curly. I sent her the pic and she told me to come this Sunday at 10. When I got there at 10 there was already someone in the chair and only one stylist. Instantly, I was annoyed once this is exactly happened the first time. The stylist who was there was the original braider and she again tried to blame me. 30 minutes later the owner showed up and I told her the stylist was rude and it's bad customer service to have clients waiting without a courtesy phone call especially because I had waited the first time for 2 hours. Needless to say even though they fixed it quickly, I will not be returning.
I have nothing bad say about her shop or her braid she do very excellent job on my hair every time I come to her and I been going to her every sent 6 year ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️????????????????????????????????????????
I've been here once. Started out a little slow but the ending process was beautiful, braids lasted for a long time and my head didn't hurt like normal braiding would. I did have a few braids come out round the edges and kitchen areas but nothing to bad.
She did an extremely excellent job on my hair. She was very nice. I got there on time at 1 p.m. and left at 6 p.m. She did my microbraids in 5 hours. Her prices are very affordable. I will be a returning client. I wish I could give her a 10⭐ rating. I love my hair ❤❤
