Below, we will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of Seascape Cafe based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths of Seascape Cafe is its lovely location. Customers mention that the café is situated in Greenhill Gardens with superb views. This provides a pleasant and serene atmosphere for customers to enjoy their meals. Another strength mentioned is the friendly welcome from the front of house staff. Customers note that the young staff members are polite and efficient, which contributes to a positive customer experience.
However, despite these strengths, the café has several weaknesses that have been highlighted in the comments. One of the major weaknesses mentioned is the quality of the food. Customers complain that the food served is cheap frozen supermarket food. They mention that the vegetable burgers are predominantly made of smash-style potato and are not accompanied by any side salad or garnish. Additionally, customers note that the sausages rolls and panini are microwaved and soggy, which is disappointing in terms of taste and presentation.
Another weakness mentioned is the unfriendliness of the staff. Customers describe the staff as unfriendly and rude. They specifically mention that the cook and one of the older male staff members are particularly miserable and unpleasant. This negative attitude from the staff members can greatly impact the overall dining experience for customers.
Furthermore, customers highlight the café's lack of regard for the environment as a weakness. They mention that the café still uses plastic straws and plastic sachets of sauce, which are detrimental to the environment. Additionally, customers note the absence of recycling bins, indicating a lack of commitment to sustainable practices.
The comment about the sick feeling experienced by a customer after consuming the food points to another weakness of the café - the quality of ingredients and preparation. This customer suggests that the oil used may have been old, leading to an unpleasant dining experience and potential health concerns.
In terms of strengths, some customers mention the beautiful gardens and peaceful ambiance of the café. They appreciate being able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air while taking in the beautiful views. Additionally, one comment praises the mug of tea and shading provided from the hot sun, suggesting that certain aspects of the café's offerings are satisfactory.
In conclusion, Seascape Cafe has several weaknesses that need to be addressed. The café's major strengths include its lovely location and a friendly welcome from the front of house staff. However, the weaknesses include cheap frozen supermarket food, unfriendly staff, a disregard for the environment, and poor food quality. These weaknesses greatly impact the overall customer experience and indicate areas that the café needs to improve upon to provide a satisfactory dining experience.

Best TL Reviews

This cafe is surviving on its location alone. You get the same fantastic views from Jurassic Rocks Cafe! The food is cheap frozen supermarket food. You will be served exactly what you order, plonked on a plate with no side salad or garnish. We had to wait more than 20 minutes for our vegetable burgers (predominantly made of smash style potato) to arrive. If you want something on the side you can choose chips or chips! The staff are unfriendly. This cafe has absolutely no regard for the environment; they still have plastic straws, plastic sachets of sauce (20p each!) and no recycling bins. Please 'like' my review if you found it helpful, thank you.
Lovely location, friendly welcome and super food.
Recommended, especially if you like seafood ????
Beautiful gardens.....peaceful....miserable cook.....not a smile....not a thank you... he also horrible.... the lady was relatively polite.... but a little standoff-ish...but not as bad as him..... the oil must've been old.... was sick approx 3hrs later
Location in Greenhill Gardens with superb views. Great mug tea, with shading from hot sun. Young front of house staff very polite & efficient.
At the cafe is located in a wonderful garden adjacent to sandsfoot Castle. Not sure where the previous two reviews came from but perhaps we will have off days. Lovely to be able to sit outside in the fresh air are taking in the beautiful views . In my experience to staff have always been very polite and helpful . They also have a bicycle rack adjacent to the cafe and public toilets are also available. For your information sandsfoot Castle was built by Henry VIII and is now a little more than a ruin with no access permitted due to safety issues however it is still an interesting building with a wonderful backdrop.
Lovely setting. Coffee disgusting, sausage roll and panini both microwaved and soggy. Old man and woman two of the surliest people I have met in hospitality. Many other places to choose from. Don't waste your money here
Visiting the lovely Greenhill Gardens on a sunny day we decided to have a cup of tea at the beautifully located cafe. When I ordered tea the young man serving asked how much milk I’d like. I have been disappointed before by cafes putting in too much milk before the tea has had a chance to brew so asked if I could put the milk in myself. The lad looked confused and went to consult with someone senior. A surly older chap appeared, with a mug containing a teabag in one hand and a milk jug in the other. “How much milk?” he scowled. The tea clearly hadn’t had time to brew so I repeated my request to put it in myself. “You can’t do that, covid regulations!” I told him that if I couldn’t pour my own milk I didn’t want the tea. He responded “F*** off then!”
I have never had such a response from someone who makes their living from customer service. I’m amazed this place is still in business. If I could I’d give minus stars.
Sorry but this café was so disappointing. Staff were rude and abrupt. Really unhelpful. Asked for a crab sandwich as proudly advertised on their blackboard enticing us to stop and was rudely told "No, you can't have that. There is no crab". We ordered some sandwiches after having to do a detective style interview to work out what they were willing to make which after an age came out in cheap, low quality bread.
Whilst waiting for the sandwiches we had the joy of listening to one of the staff coughing his guts up inside the "kitchen".
This could be a lovely cafe if staff were willing to make an effort and be happy to welcome people in. Have a proper quality menu etc. The setting is fantastic. Unfortunately it is run by people where the bear minimum seems to be acceptable.
